Max Payne 3 is probably the best 3rd person shooter game ever made. Impressive ragdoll physics thanks to Euphoria. However, this game didn't get enough hype more than GTA 5 because the trailer of GTA 5 came out a year before Max Payne 3 which is didn't help much. We kinda hope Rockstar make a GTA game using Max Payne 3 shooting mechanics.
Amen to that. Best 3rd person shooter I've played in over a decade, if not the best.

@drearmouse9510 Yeah for sure it's old game but it adds allot to the Movie the side quests are great and hand to hand great also. I played for the first time in 2021 make sure to play it on a ps4 if you can it has issues on PS5 not sure about PC.

Max Payne also had one of the best hidden gem multiplayer modes. Absolutely loved it and played a ton.

I fell into a deep depression after a long-term relationship breakup and only managed to find joy in replaying Max Payne 3.
Once the music started playing in that long hallway and they started singing "it's time to let me go" I feel that it did cure me a bit. If Max could let them go, so could I.

The Airport section with that music will be ALWAYS printed in my mind. So awesome
Hands down one of the best games they ever made. Story was extremely dark yet realistic compared to the other ones. The gunplay and slow mo was super fun to use alongside the last stand feature which was at time a double edged sword especially on higher difficulties. Max has aged a lot since the last few games and even tho his sense of humour is the same he delves deeper into nihilism coz of the situations he gets into are becoming increasingly unbeatable the more he get sucked into the corruption of the system he is introduced. Overall great game definitely pick it up when u can it trully is a masterpiece of a game

I like the gritty, true neutral Witcher-style story where he doesn't necessarily even LIKE the people he's saving but it's his job.

I personally would've preferred a remake of the third game to fix the flaws holding it back from perfection cause Max got the perfect ending he deserved and making fourth game would've ruined it imo
@@thedarkderp2520 I gotta disagree, imo the ending of MP 3 was too idyllic with him walking off into the sunset, it feels at odds with the rest of the series. The true ending of Max’s story should be as tragic as the rest of his life, maybe one last blaze of glory trying to save another damsel in distress, holding onto his guilt for failing to save his wife, daughter, Mona and Fabiana or something like that. Could be a poetic full circle kinda moment.
@@zoinks7014 he's already had that plot in 2 minus the blaze of glory and that in itself is a cliché he's already carried that guilt longer than he had known his wife and during his rampage in 3 he came to terms with his grief and got clean he earned his peace
This game gave us the single white dot reticle and the weapon wheel used in GTA and RDR2. Two fantastic hud elements for modern third person shooters

Mostly because you could literally activate cinematic kills for EVERY kill.

OK so I did just that and yeah I took all the damage but worth it also fun fact @12:26 when you are in the football stadium if you stay in cover and do nothing the guys will leave the room letting you save ammo useful on the harder difficulty

I'll never forget finding this for 5 dollars at Best Buy, not knowing what it is but thinking it looked cool, and having the cashier say "Oh this one is really good" and just thinking he was a nerd, but then the game literally changed how i look at games

Shooting in this game was fantastic, yet GTA and Red Dead are absolute bare bone.
The warriors had fantastic hand to hand combat but GTA 5 was lacking in that area. But with their open world games rockstaf focus on that aspect.
Max Payne 3 it reminds me of Hard Boiled by John Woo and other John Woo movies with Chow Yun-Fat. Also, John Woo Presents: Stranglehold game.
"I was working protection detail for the kind of people who need protection in the kind of town like this" and "he was with my mother in the Amazon where she was researching spiders right before she died" are tied in the running for one of the sentence of all time.
The presentation here is one of the best in gaming, I adore Max Payne 3. Large part of that is due to Health’s amazing score to the game, it’s because of this game I discovered them and they’re now my favorite band

This game does everything right.
The graphics are great, maybe even better than GTA V at sometimes. Sao Paulos and New Jersey are beautifully detailed. The physics are great as it brings back and expands the euphoria system. The voice acting is top notch. The animations are so smooth and satisfying, the same can be said for the combat. Bullet time is impeccable, satisfying and badass. The soundtrack composed by HEALTH is fantastic. Every single track is a hit and fits in perfectly with the game. The game is also greatly optimized. 4K 120 FPS at Max settings. Max Payne is man with nothing to lose. A washed up old cop. With no family or friends by his side. Wallowing in depression and anger. I grew up with the Max Payne series and I'm glad that this series got a third installment. I highly recommend this game. Great video and I hope this video gets more people's to play!
The best thing this game does is character assassination of a deep, classy, witty, resilient protagonist to a miserable old drunk.

One of the best things about the game is how every bullet is accounted for. In most games, when someone is shot, there's just a splash of blood and no holes. Not so in this game. Every shot has a projectile, and every projectile hits something or someone with precise aftermath.

Sorry Paul the Main voice actor which was playing as Max Payne is dead ! So max died with him that day, saddest part, ps4 and ps5 doesn't have Max Payne 3 and they didn't make remake of first one too

What was always weird for me in Max Payne 3 as a Brazilian is that they hired Hispanics, Portuguese and Cariocas (people from Rio de Janeiro that have a very unique accent) to voice the brazilians in São Paulo instead of actual people from SP, so every brazilian in the game sound so foreigner it makes me wish they had just made everybody speak english
