2022 is in 12 days and Dustin is still using and old, entry level camera, cheap speedlights, and an old computer running Windows 7 along with an ancient version of Capture One! Total G.
This channel is so under rated. I have learned an incredible amount watching all his videos. Just picking up tips and seeing his work flow is cool to watch and feels so empowering that with some practice even I could do something like this
@@workphlo I truely ment all that, I think an interesting video idea would be to see what you can compose using just a cell phone camera. Seems to me most of the magic comes from the speed lights
I learned lighting by working with seasoned pros on sets and location jobs, combined with the FineLight video series from Dean Collins. I’m very grateful to see what you’re doing here taking lighting(the principles and physics of it) and combining it with how tethered digital shooting really allows the photographer to craft their light and compositions even faster. Film and digital are the same when it comes to light, but digital capture allows for more critical adjustments to be done on the fly(hence my own preference for tethered capture, like yourself). Mullet looking fresh!
Wow I haven't watched in a bit, the mullet was a pleasant surprise! Great video as always - clear, concise & packed full of little tips to make my work really flow!
Great inspiration thanks for sharing its certainly given me an idea for a self initiated test project! Do you prefer shooting products in sections like this and compositing rather than attempt to setup some complex multi lighting setups and reflectors to get close to finished shots in camera
Because I'm in a small room, I find myself compositing more than I would in a larger room to avoid cross reflections and white wall bounce. But nothing beats nailing it 99% in camera Karl Taylor style!

Sidenote: You're so bloody gorgeous with the hair😍
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
you are not getting enough likes, Dustin. Not sure why.
Thanks for helping out Steve! :)
When you hit the 3rd light(light above the cam) is the first light still on?
What type of gloves are you using? I usually use cotton, but they slip and latex are too hot!
Bob Ross vibes in photoshop mode.
all this can be done in photoshop retouching/editing and would save time
Sometimes. I rather shoot a light off a label and composite in 1-2 seconds with lighten mode vs create a pure digital path and solution, no?
First!
Where would I be without you Slam Bradley!
@@workphlo All I know is my product photography is leveled up because of this channel! Thanks!!

Nice work, too much editing for my taste. Rather try getting the photo right in camera instead of 10 photos to assemble.
