During the game, the legendary actress reveals her performance in the 1981 film On Golden Pond was deserving of an Oscar statue. She set a blueprint for second generation actors like Michael Douglas, Laura Dern, Jeff Bridges, Jamie Lee Curtis, Angelina Jolie, Anjelica Houston to be as equally successful in the world of acting as their famous parents. The dignity, empathy, and fearlessness of her performances for 6 decades have touched audiences around the world.

The Greta Garbo story is in her book “My Life So Far”. Greta told her she was pretty enough to be an actress. Jane hadn’t started acting yet.

What struck me about this is that Jane Fonda, as do women her age, has thicker skin than today's women. She told the story about Rene Clement, who clearly sexually harassed her, but she brushes it off today. Wasn't traumatized by it, doesn't sound bitter, if anything she just finds humor in the anecdote. A modern actress today would talk about an incident like this like it ruined her life and caused her a deep depression. That's because they're conditioned by activists to react that way.
She probably got to be a star via the casting couch or some manner of it. Not a great actress...

@@ykook7000 You missed the point of my comment. Yes, it's harassment, and inappropriate. However, it's not a life-ending incident, and Fonda can laugh about it. Today a woman would pretend her life is over because of depression as a result of the incident. It's conditioning.
