When I was young and setting the table for supper the news came on the radio. The announcer shared that Lily Tomlin was asked if she was a lesbian and she did not deny it. That was a very big deal in that era. She was at her height--she had her own show. Since then she has been the standard bearer for integrity for me. She plays it down but she's very very courageous and always a hero to me.

Alex Iturria I do not leave my iMac computer on (sleep mode) since I saw in the middle of one night when going to a bathroom a green light of the camera that is on top of the computer turning on. I used a double tape to cover the camera the next morning. She meant that if you leave your Mac computer or any computer on it can spy on you through the camera (whoever is on the receiving end of the camera). The same goes for your tv, smartphone, Alexa etc. In nutshell be careful with all those electronic devices around you.

She means it’s not so groundbreaking to come out in a big way (magazine cover being the example here) anymore. So many people have come out in recent years that it doesn’t hold as much weight (or value, here) now as it’s not, generally speaking, taboo anymore (I’m speaking as an American on what it’s like here. Other countries/cultures it’s not the same.)

Actually, I believe Lily was referring to the fact that Jane's ex husband, Ted Turner, used to own Time Magazine/Time Warner, Industries. Or rather, he was the CEO and largest shareholder for many years , before he sold it to AOL.
