Isn't that the truth? It seemed to fall on deaf ears when you saw some of the faces in the crowd. How awful! Especially Laurence Fishburne. He was not at all entertained, or maybe he was just caught on camera at a bad moment, but when Lily Tomlin is on a stage in front of you, you pay attention and take it all in! That lady is an extraordinary human being and it would be such an honor to see her make that speech in person, and to see the disdain he seemed to have was disappointing.
So we’re just pretending like Meryl didn’t laugh?

Lily Tomlin is a very special lady, at the end of the day she must be exhausted trying to get people to keep up with her way of thinking, she is so aware of every little details going on around her, she is extremely intelligent, it’s hard to keep up to her. For me... it’s been a pleasure to have had the chance to keep up with everything she has to say as well as her performance on TV, she sounds like a very special person as well as being a great actress

I am so happy for her to have won this award! She deserved it! I have been a fan of hers since my early childhood and my respect for her talent has only grown over the years. I am obsessed with Grace and Frankie and I hope it continues for many more seasons as I can't get enough of it! She gave such a wonderful speech here! So full of wit! That lady doesn't miss a beat!

I was in school when I saw Lily Tomlin for the first time on Laugh-In. She played Ernestine the telephone operator. That was my favorite act in the whole show. Couldn`t wait for Lily to come on, I was in stitches everytime.😂😂 Lily is a genius, an awesome person, a delightful person, a good human being. She also deserves an Oscar even for the speech she gave!!! Love love her character, especially in "Grace and Frankie". Lily, may you always be happy, healthy and strong. Peace and Love✌💗

Her humor is lost on these egomaniacs in the audience - they start to laugh then look around to see if it’s cool to laugh then stop - trying to be high brow with little or no true talent . They are only as good as the written word on a page ! lily outshines the room , too with for them . Most in the audience will be forgotten 5 minutes after Entertainment Tonight announces their leaving this world , not Lily !

Just very very recently fell in love with lily and got to see her work or art or her beautiful work... Been binge watching Netflix series.. Grace and Frankie!!! Completed all 6 seasons in less than a few weeks.... I fell in love with Frankie aka lily!! I loved Grace aka Jane fonder too... I loved grace n frankie.. They r like my friends and a part of me now. Such strong women, and funny and insane and crazy Lolz.. I'm looking to watching more of lily's work and movies and stand up... But can't find much online... I saw All Of Me.. Last night on youtube.. Even though it was not at all clear!!... Would love to watch 9 to 5....but didn't find any online.. :(
