Such an incredibly well rounded woman, one who gave her all, made a difference, and can even acknowledge her mistakes. So few people - male or female - can match her dedication, accomplishments, insights. In short she’s an American hero.
I always love whatever Jane does I think she is a fantastic actress!
"You don't go and slap somebody and then apologize! Get some backbone!"😅Maaaan, when they bring in Phyllis Diller as Viola's Monster-In-Law that just simply puts the icing on the cake of that movie! Genius! Just genius! I bet the outtakes are a laugh-riot!
You mean Elaine Stricth
... Phyllis diller
She’s extremely gorgeous! I first saw her in Monster-in-law, my Hispanic family watched because of JLo but really fell in love with Jane. Her role was iconically fierce, it really made us laugh on how savage she was. Now we watch it on a monthly basis for movie night or even background sound.
It’s always weird to me when we see career videos for actors who’ve only been making films for like 10 years, I don’t care about new actors as much as living legends like Fonda. She’s created so much of an impact in film and beyond the industry. Love her and this video ♥️
HANOI JANE ... she smiled so pretty for the camera with her Vietcong pals when she traveled to Vietnam to protest the war. 68,000 American died in that war but you go ahead and praise her.
@@judegirl7607 I will, the war was one of the most pointless wars in existence and she always protested against it
@@judegirl7607 also 200,000-250,000 Vietnamese soldiers died in this pointless war. Not counting the millions of civilians and people on both sides. What’s your point? Did you want more people to die?
Such an incredible woman. I’m going back to watch every film. And she looks better than ever at 85.
Why do people always mentions a woman''s looks, but yet when men are interviewed the comments are about things that actually matter?
This woman is a brilliant performer, but more importantly she has taught us all the way to live and voice our passions. She also changed the world with that.
I grew up thinking she was a dopey aerobics instructor and she's actually one of the greatest living activists who made fitness videos just because she wanted to bankroll her programs for social change. She is a hero and deserves to be seen as such.
Gosh, I could listen to her for hours and hours
One of the few actors/ celebrities that actually deserve to be called "Icon"
Grace and Frankie has turned out to be one of my favourite series. I loved it and sooooo sad it ended. Season 8, you think Jane?
There are a few episodes about to air. They are calling it Season 7B, so I think it's going to be just a few episodes. They are going to wrap everything up and go out on top!
She got me big time with the "On Golden Pond" story. Both surreal and poignant.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard her speak of her experience on ‘On Golden Pond” the way she did in this interview. Have always loved that movie. And have always loved and respected her.
Of all Jane's great movies, "Comes A Horsemen" has always been the one that moved me to my core.
Yes, there were a couple omissions here that I was surprised to NOT see.
That movie is INCREDIBLE. Absolutely brilliant directing and acting in that film. Very sad to see it omitted
I discovered Jane Fonda about 15 years ago here on YT watching The dollmaker. I am sorry this movie does not get mentioned anywhere because I was smittened by Jane ´s performance. Since then I have been a fan and admirer of hers as an actor but even more as a person. And then came Grace and Frankie, my absolutly most favourite comedy series ever. I am happy for Jane and Lily they got to do it. They both are legendary ❤
I love this woman! She's such a beautiful and touching actress--plus a real human being.
My favorite movie of hers growing up was "The doll maker" Set in the depression and such a great story of struggle and loss and finding happiness again. (I see two little girls in your eyes ma! Well thats you hunny! Me and Callie Lou) ugh.... rip my heart out. She is an ICON.
I think of that movie every so often. Still tears me up!
this woman is THE REAL DEAL ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm so impressed with how sharp her mind is. My mom is also 85 but is dealing with dementia.
That's a shame , do you know if it's Alzheimer's ?
It's a shame so many elders come down with it. So many bad chemicals in our environment 😪
Her description of her experience of filming On Golden Pond with her father was just so poignant and endearing.
We are tired of that story , dear.
40 years since they made the film and since he died, but it clearly still makes her emotional. Very touching.
@@cjordan1161 And no one asked you....dear
I love you, Jane Fonda; your heart, your courage to speak up (when you could have just sat back in your secure life and said nothing), your witt and of course your brilliant acting. Thank you for being my "repeater." Please bless us with many, many more years of YOU!!! 😊❤
Her beauty, humanity, ferocity and insight are the stuff of legend. She's such a great communicator, that analogy with the antenna was dead on. I loved this! 🎬🧡
Hanoi Jane
@@benitatyson5165 whatever...
@@benitatyson5165 So many of us wanted to know why we were in Vietnam Nam and why our male friends were being forced to sign up to the draft. She went there looking for answers. She has profusely apologized if she made any gaffes. Bet that special name for her was created by our own government to discount her and what she was trying to do. My one uncle had to go there so despite being against the war my own family was involved in it too. Simply calling her that is a cheap shot and basely ignorant.
@@ohthelovelypoems then why are so many Vietnam veterans still so upset with her?
I love watching and commenting Grace and Frankie with my grandma. Every time there is a new episode we get excited to comment... It's funny, hopeful and uplifting to all ages, we love it. Thanks Jane ❤
I am already crying, thinking about the end of this series. Grace is my favorite character in this show. Grace and Frankie, beyond makes me laugh, makes me reflect about the older people and getting older too. Jane is a great actress and is delightful see her acting.
man why do i feel like bursting into tears? i love her so much, im deffo gonna be having a jane fonda marathon appreciation
Such a legend! And this hair cut is 🔥
We love you, Jane. I met you, and you were wonderful and kind. You did it your way. Be proud!
Love her movies. Can't think of a better Grace on Grace and Frankie. I love them together. I'm going to miss that show. 👏
National treasure! A magnificent example of vitality and intellect at any age. SO happy that you kept sharing your talent with us!!
National Treasure? Look into how she treated our military while they were in Vietnam. She's a freaking traitor.
The reply was removed. Hmmmm…. I have an easy guess on what it mentioned.
Love her acting and all the wonderful roles and characters she brought to life. She is an wonderful icon in the industry!
love what she said about Silence in older movies - its true, nowadays most movies are so filled up, it does not leave much room for the viewer to give movies their own meaning
Man I love this woman, what an inspiration
They Shoot Horses... and Klute made me a lifelong fan, and she continues to NOT disappoint. A great person, a great actor!
Same here. I absolutely agree. I first saw "Klute" 40 years ago and it remains one of my favourite films of all time. I think Jane sums it up greatly that the direction, cinematography and music all contributed to the atmosphere of the film - as did her powerhouse performance.
The power of love. She's an 85 year old woman but turns into a little girl who loves and misses her Dad when she speaks of him. ❤️
“Julia”, “Agnes of God”…so many other great performances. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched, “Barefoot in the Park,” another great performance. What a career, what an actress! Thanks, Jane, I’ve loved watching you!💜
Julia was here, they probably cut it off but Jane talked about it
This was awesome. I wish she talked The Morning After. I loved her performance in it.
It is nice to see a comment that is actually about her career!
Ahhh Jane Fonda is incredible!!! I have so much respect for her as an artist. She speaks so eloquently and she’s just so classy
I love simply love her, she is a amazing human being. Strong convictions, brave, vulnerable brilliant.
I loved every moment of this video.. All the movies.. and experiences and things I never knew about Jane.. Love your attitude that has brought you to your 80's looking fabulous.. healthy and at peace!
One of my all time favorites. She's beyond amazing. A decorated career and a true icon
VF always seems to skip my favorite film in this series and in this case it's Julia, for I'm of the mind that the scene in the restaurant between Fonda and Vanessa Redgrave is possibly the most extraordinary piece of acting between two women ever to be captured on film.
Agree. Love that film and that scene is tremendous!
@@jack67102 😘
Love her hair. She looks so good. Glamorous. Her story of Golden Pond.
What a life she’s lived. I need to pull her book back out “My life so far”. It changed my life and I didn’t even finish it!
I love Jane Fonda! One of my absolute favorite actresses ever! I always love her stories in interviews and she also has a great documentary about herself called: Jane Fonda in Five Acts. Highly recommend that one!
Such a beautiful soul whose life has been an inspiration on so many levels. Thank you for being such a positive influence on my life journey🙏🧘🏻xx
