China looking nicer than most cities in America in this video. I am still amazed how fast these guys go, always look like they're a hair from crashing every 2 seconds.
It can be a bit sketch. You'll notcie there's lots of guys where i won't directly sit on their wheel just in case. I can recognize most team jerseys, if they're a legit team, I'll sit on their wheel. If its some weekend warrior (like me) i'll give myself an escape route.
The wind in that Pingtan race was next level! 😅 Bloody love the AR one, very flattering bike. Definitely no equipment excuses at all when you're on one of those, only the legs to blame.
Joe, Joe please listen. Lol I am a 56-year-old 58kg racer. You need the Cybrei 54-38 chainrings with a 11-34 cassette on the back. Plenty of climbing gears and it allows you to stay with the big boys on the decents and flats. Everyone mocked me for having a 54 yet it is one of the best decisions that I have made with my bikes. Trust me, you don't need to be a watt monster to push a 54. Lol Love your work buddy.
Haha, one day I'll try...they're heavier though so the weight weenie in me doesn't like them. The Cybrei 56-42 are dropping soon... Ill get those. Hahaha.
Beautiful build. (But anyone who owns a (bike) store, knows you paid wholesale price!) In 10 years the paint design will look terrible, but then in 30 years it will again look fantastic!
The 30mm gp5000 tr is slightly higher puncture resistance than the 28mm. I was running 28mm TR, then went to AS TR 28mm for better puncture protection, but went to the 30 TR and found it's a sweet spot for weight, size and puncture proofing as it's thicker than the 28mm TR.
@ChinaCycling I just did my annual fondo. Way less fatigue and almost identical time, and I was 6kg heavier this year. Just for the extra puncture protection and higher comfort it's 100% worth it. You should do a video on you trying both. It would be fun.
@@Pablo_Coach by a small margin but at higher pressure tires like 25mm, sealant does not work well. 28mm is the smallest tire I'd run tubeless if you want it to be very reliable.
Was looking for those carbon bar ends since I saw a previous video with them, didn't know I had to order them with the bar tape! And good to know the Galfer rotors work well for you. Heard some mixed reviews online, was thinking of getting a pair.
Mate, such admirable attention to the Harlequin colour scheme, and then you go put the yellow bottle on the front cage and the pink on the back? What were you thinking??!
lol. So, I usually put mix in my seattube bottle and water in my downtube bottle. Mix will look ugly in the yellow bottle, so, yellow goes on the downtube... haha.
@@ChinaCycling I'm relieved to know that you have a valid reason. Just purchased a set of Farsports EVO S5/S6. Please let Tom know he's a champion! Thank you. By the way...nice bike.
Yup. Like I said, not comsumer advice at all... but if you never try "the best" you don't know what you're missing. PSA: You ain't missing s**t, 105 is fine.
@ I mean, Trek, Cannondale and Specialized/S-Works sell bikes with microscopic logos! It’s the next big thing, making brand logos smaller 😍 a win if Chinese brands hop on that bandwagon, I’d reckon.
Can I ask you the silliest thing, where did you get those bottles??? My club kit is the same shade of pink with yellow sleeves! I’d love to try and get some and see if my club wants to order some too! The bike looks absolutely stunning I love bright and wacky paint schemes I wish brands had more odd offerings that weren’t reserved for custom shop level and limited runs
They're Elite Fly 550ml. They should be pretty common and the same colours around the world. :) If you really cant find any, buy a set of wheels from PP and I'll put a pair in the box with the wheels... hahahhaha. 😂
How can I order a set of Craft Racing Works wheels with white spokes? I have the original 50/60s which I love, but I'd like something a little more shallow for my Aethos.
Man. You are bucking the trend of videos making you watched hours of rubbi-- er content before revealing the price / video title tid bit. 10/10 would watch again.
Picked one of these up on Poyang, was I think 6.8kg in a standard team spec heavy power meter / saddle.. impressed. But I guess will never make a 60cm cos it’s Asia? 😢 There’s for sure a big market in the U.K. for this.
At hos level definitely not but a few grams at the highest level can help a little on the uphill. I cant see a loss of performance sitting tight in a bunch ..?
A billion people...statistics say a few are gonna be f**king fast (especially up a hill.) 😂 China has no real cat system though, so it can be the wild west.
@ but its the same as in belgium. Only 12 million people but maybe 4-5 million of them ride a bike in the weekend. Entry lvl amateur racing here requires a 3.5-4w/kg ftp to keep up
Performance wise the Farsports and EXS feel very similar. Slightly different shape to the farsports drops. I like the dimples on the EXS, but that thing is never in stock. The Avian is also a good bar, very comfortable because its so soft, but not confidence inspiring for bigger guys.
Hi, is there any significant performance difference between Highroad SL vs the Gp5k Str? RR mb a bit higher on paper for Highroad but it’s superlight. how bout real world performance?
Hard to do AB testing because its hard to seperate aero difference from rolling resistance. (for me.) I'd say my butt-dyno does feel like the GP5k rolls about 10w faster at 30kph (per pair), but that could be mostly from tubeless vs TPU... I imagine the Highroad SL is faster at steeper climbs when you're going slower.
I had the cranks for over a year. I have the titanium version and dub. But now I found a crankset that comes from the same factory on AliExpress. I bought 4 sets. Best part is they only cost 141
@L3uX Not the same factory... The brands you just mentioned have 3 different factories (and brands move between factories.) But... their construction methods are similar (though not identical) Also similar to the E13 cranks.
@@ChinaCycling Gotcha. I confused the Eilee cranks with the other cranks I'm talking about. I assumed that cranks under Cybrei, Rockbros, Lexon, were made either same factory or essentially the same blueprint due to their final weight and external similarity (aside from other subtle differences).
Does anybody notice that the bike is one size too big for Joe? Joe probably barely have the minimum amount of seat post stick out. If you are a consumer, why would you spend so much money on building up a frame that does not even fit.
People who are short don't have any other option. As long as the front end is low, thats all that matters. I'm 4'11 and only one of my seven road bikes have a lot of seatpost exposed. But this comes with a crazy slopping top tube that I hate

Dang, just watched this wish I had seen it a month ago! Bike looks great!
i like how other people are getting/thinking of getting 6-7 kilo bikes while i am here thinking of getting 6 kilo bike lock. 😀
Those concerned about bike weight are often those carrying a bit of timber.
@@Cycle.every.day. got my 6 kg bike for 500. And no, I'm not carrying any timber, it just feels great to ride
As long as it brings a smile to your face, keep riding it.
Live in Portland, OR do you!??...I feel you pain!
I was once told every bike in a big city needs to weigh 30kg. Either 30kg on its own or made up to that weight with locks to stop it getting stolen.
That paint job is unbelievably sick, closest comparison would be those trek:one things which cost $10,000-$20,000. Looks great 👍 enjoy
Glad you like it too!
