I am a 56-year-old 58kg racer. You need the Cybrei 54-38 chainrings with a 11-34 cassette on the back. Plenty of climbing gears and it allows you to stay with the big boys on the decents and flats. Everyone mocked me for having a 54 yet it is one of the best decisions that I have made with my bikes.

The 30mm gp5000 tr is slightly higher puncture resistance than the 28mm. I was running 28mm TR, then went to AS TR 28mm for better puncture protection, but went to the 30 TR and found it's a sweet spot for weight, size and puncture proofing as it's thicker than the 28mm TR.

    • @ChinaCycling

Hard to do AB testing because its hard to seperate aero difference from rolling resistance. (for me.) I'd say my butt-dyno does feel like the GP5k rolls about 10w faster at 30kph (per pair), but that could be mostly from tubeless vs TPU... I imagine the Highroad SL is faster at steeper climbs when you're going slower.
