I was such a huge wrestling fan and when I saw this game in the arcade I simply could not get enough of it (Mat Mania)! Thank You for the playthrough of this version...That's farther than I have ever seen anyone accomplish...Good work fella!! 👍🙏🏆

This was the first wrestling game that had decent controls. It wasn't a button mashing fest. I would have liked to have seen tag team matches and more characters from the original along with some new ones.
Wish they'd make a mat mania 3, with all the wrestlers from the first 2 games, add 2 more, 2 player simultaneous play, both rings, bring cory back, and tag team matches. Oh yeah, and you can play as any wrestler.
CoCo wouldn’t work in a game where the player can counter the grab. He can’t punch and his knuckles to the head move would get countered. That move was the only reason he was hard. Instant knockdown and allowed him to continually do it or body check you as you got up
With a bit more variety, it could have rivaled Wrestlefest for the title of the greatest wrestling arcade game ever. They should have merged Mat Mania with Mania Challenge, lol.

I know this is suposted to also be a player vs player update but.. im still dissapointed with this new version from Mat Mania. Not only im not a fan of the new music but also, there's only 3 oponents that you fight against and they don't have their jingles, Mat Mania haves 5 oponents, they play their jingles + it also features the Title Match part. I say.. Mania Challenge, it's just ok.

Yeah, not a very popular variation of Mat Mania.
They had this game at the Chuck E Cheese. I never saw it anywhere else in town.

Yep, only three. No Karate Warrior, No Piranha and no Coco, sadly. There are more moves, though.

I agree, Mat Mania is simply too cool. Mania Challenge has more moves, but it's nowhere near as atmospheric as its predecessor.

They are in Mat Mania, this is Mania Challenge. More moves, but fewer opponents. Overall not as good as the former, imho.
