Kia Ora. Wow great pistols. Never seen stars. Really enjoyed your presentation. Such clever engineering on the double action one. Clever safety. English. 44s weer soilid pieces . I am lucky enough to posses a few. Adam's & Beaumont Adam's. Yes indeede, double actions can have some hick ups. & those parts VERY hard to make up again . Tatou very much for showing us the pistols. Now that's a nice pair of pistols. These and the schofield are my favourite American pistols of that era. I've handled colts and never liked the grip shape or size but these look much more ergonomic. A shooting video will be great to see.
I love these and have bid on a few, but they always have gone out of my reach. Thanks for taking the time to go over them. I never realized how large they are! But even so, they seem far more ergonomic than the Colts and Remingtons which always feel very awkward in my hands. One comment for you, Sir. Please consider a different microphone arraignment. Or perhaps just work on keeping your volume up and even. At times I could barely hear you. Enjoyed it immensely, though. Cheers.
Crikey ! Don't know the answer to that. I know there used to be individually wrapped paper cartridges which included the bullet, especially from Colt. I have also seen cartridge conversions done with Starr revolvers but at what point that occurred or even if they were still in service you will have to find an ammunition specialist to answer that one. Thanks anyway, for watching and the question.

I am lucky enough to own an original DA Starr

Hello
Thanks for watching. I will look into that immediately. Sorry it was difficult to hear.
Very interesting design features 😊 thanks
Did the army use cartridges for pistols like the Starr😊 or were the powder and ball loaded separately
