A run through of the steps taken to bring a fine hammer gun back from the land of disused and unloved. Interesting because it is actually Nitro-proofed and possesses 3” chambers.

Interesting job
Nice job nice gun
Very fine item sir outstanding 👍
You mentioned the supplier of the replacement barrels for that model. Could you provide it here?
I'm a Texas gunsmith and have NO critique of your technique. However, I find it amazing if not miraculous that your new barrel head spaced properly from the factory. I have built many, many hunting rifles on Mauser actions and have never had one head space out of the box. In fact, most were purpose ordered "short chambered" so I could cut the headspace exactly where I wanted. With mass manufacturing tolerances what they must be, you were lucky indeed to find a barrel that was right on. I only hope any of the viewers of your excellent video are not lulled into believing all they will have to do is order a barrel and screw it on. BTW no "proofing" necessary here in gun .friendly Texas . Thanks again for the nice video.
Can you do barrel m1 garand its receiver bm59 7.62 as a straight pull
Beautiful rifle, try to do videos about 1891 and 1909 Argentine Mauser!!! Best Regards!!!
The bulge in the barrel has nothing to do with oil .....
Beautiful work!
Ini sangat bagus
The nazi safety police certainly get annoying. I had to start kicking out anyone having nothing better to do than pointing out nominal safety issues. They can make their own safety videos for such things instead of nurturing their own inability to stay focused on the main point of other people's videos
Well done great ethics enjoy your show
Very nice work. I do absolutely love Lothar-Walther barrel's.
Thank goodness it’s not been deactivated.. I too think it’s a crime.
Such a interesting gun love the slow motion at the end another cool video
Are you sure that cork screw feature on the end of the ramrod is for removing a stuck ball? I think it is a “tow worm” designed to hold a wad of cleaning tow used to wipe the bore clean after firing.
these pistols are mint condition, really enjoyed you showing them, like brand new, amazing
Another great gun and video
Interesting to watch as I've recently done an identical repair where a rifle was dropped on the muzzle.
Ouch my eye!
Another great video on a very unique piece. What sort of loads would a 19th century coachman have used in it?
This channel should be getting many more views. Let's all get together go over the Internet, tell other gun channels about this.
Interesting info and a real quality piece this is.
Have you checked the barrels for integrity before firing? By X-ray or some other method.
Nope nothing as technical as that visual and tapping (sound) They are pretty solid, very chunky and very weighty.
@@byswordmusket9312 Righty, THX for your attn.
It would have been interesting to see how the bayonet locks in place when open , good vidio
That one is truly beautiful I've never seen a bayonet open that way
Great video! I ask in complete ignorance, but why not load the main charge before the priming? On the face of it, that would seem safer.
That's the way I do it. I doubt there's any serious risk to doing it the other way.
Great point. Just the way I did it today.
I agree, priming is always last 👍
The military doctrine of the time was prime first. It is likely that civilians would have done the same until the health and safety people got involved.
@@colinarmstrong1892 Good point!
Please ask any questions about this video
Excellent video, lots of good details. I aquired me example pretty long ago. Got just the rifle/ scope. It was restocked, it has all the proper marks on the metal and pads still staked. A bit ruff looking but gave the expected accuracy. Did not know much back then, just chanced upon it. It is a great rifle to shoot.
It looks lovely. I wonder if that's where North American Arms got the ideal
It is like watching paint dry. Much like watching a Golf tournament or American Baseball.
What a great shipment sir, you have a good eye. Roughly when will the doors be opened? Need to hear my wife's dulcide tones again. 😂
Doors always open by appointment but it will be a while before the latest items are ready.
Every time I open a package from one of these auction houses I get flooded with packing peanuts. Your exporter is a star for using paper instead!
Actually we saved 4 huge bags of those ! They are useful but a pain in the _ ___
What a nice delivery! That Styer Pistol and Ulhan holster look superb, I hope that it can be owned and fired by a collector. I do the same for my bullet business, save packing material, it is wise to do!
Very nice,I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop in that room!

Beautiful Webley, but that video format is very strange! Do you upload directly from your phone? It's a shame, because we can't see the revolver very well...
Hi, you forgot to mention that there are cuts to the trigger guard as well. Approx 2mm off each side and the plate is scalloped on either side just behind the front mounting screw.
I didnt think German made barrels had the wood retainer ahead of the rear sight for a hand guard?
It is a wonder he did not rifle the barrels? Can't have been easy to push the ball down with a screw top on the ram rod. I saw where he ended up very poor.
Do u still sale firearms?
Good video mate. i got a G29/40 myself nr 2064 of the line. It has all the markings to. 660 ( Stayer) F.B Radom 1939. exelent rifle. Not the original stock annymore thoe since its now a Huntingrifle.
The Royal Navy could board Merchant ships too and relieve them of their crew, leaving only enough to sail it into port. Taking the best men of course.
I've the same rifle in exact same configuration. Yours is in better condition though!
Didn't know Lothar Walther still made barrels for the 98. I made a tensioned liner out of a 22 cal LW barrel and it was a real shooter. They make good stuff. I am in the US where we don't have a proof house though we probably should so even with all our ATF rules and regs. we can build and shoot our own stuff. Would love to visit Great Britain some day. I think it is a beautiful and unique part of the world and has some of the greatest gunsmiths and gun manufacturing houses still in existing today. As far as your methods don't worry about what folks say. There are many ways you can do it but the result is the same. I think you did just fine... Oh yea I subscribed.
I have many old rifles from Enfield mauser some m1917 and as much as I love them as is I've had to replace the barrel to keep them shooting its harder then it used to be to bring them back to life but the ones I have gotten done will out live me good to see I'm not the only one
i have a real one has only a battle peep
Midland Gun Company, Demon Street works, Birmingham. A very underated company in my opinion. Ok they weren't Westley Richards but damn solid well made working shotguns. I've owned a couple of later boxlock non ejectors and one was rebarreled by Gallyon and sons Norfolk. That would not have been cheap to do even in the 1970s when I reckon it was done so why bother with a rubbish product ? That's because they weren't rubbish !
Glad to see you back! Interesting piece.
, thanks!
We enjoy your videos where have you been
