It's worth mentioning there is a new dragon 3in1 set coming on January 1st that i didn't mention in this video! Here's a link to it : www.lego.com/en-us/product/medieval-dragon-31161
The background of the box art of the forthcoming 3-in-1 Creator Dragon shows what looks very much like a LEGO castle. The rumour mill is speculating that it’s the summer’s 3-in-1 Creator Medieval Knights Castle. It looks to be the same colour scheme as the previous Creator Castle: grey walls with a half timbered building that has yellow infill and a dark blue roof.
At some point I saw a box on a thumbnail somewhere, which apparently looks like it was this set. I'm not impressed by how it looks, there are countless Ninjago dragons which are done a lot better, even though those are technically meant for a younger audience. Also the prices on Ninjago tend to be reasonable, this set seems a bit on the expensive side for such a small dragon. The D&D dragon from the boxed set looks a ton better to be honest.
@@SO-ym3zs I've seen what they put out, it is not compatible or comparable enough with stuff that Lego puts out. It is good that there is competition, but It is just not the same.
@@pinobluevogel6458 WTF did you even look at the Funwhole sets? Right, not comparable, bc all the sets Lego gives us are half finished sets to rip-off prices. And of course those products are compatible. Mini figs from Funwhole have the same size.
@@pinobluevogel6458 They're directly compatible. The esthetics understandably differ, but Funwhole's sets are generally superior to Lego, with much more detail (and vastly better pricing and lights and all prints instead of stickers). The medieval sets from BlueBrixx are grounded more in reality, whereas Lego's are intentionally unrealistic. I'd honestly rather have better, cheaper sets from other manufacturers than wait in vain for Lego do really focus on Medieval/castle sets properly.
I hate how lego is just releasing a few random castle sets per year, mostly through bricklink. When they put figures in sets like the prize machine it really seems lame because they know castle fans will buy the set for the minifig. We just need a new theme lol
I don’t like how the brick link ones are limited like the mountain fortress. They get snapped up at pre-order the only available through secondary markets. Kids like castles too, clearly there’s a demand for regular castle sets
@@gIassjawXVIII With how much demand there is for these kinds of things, I don't understand the limited availability at all. It makes absolutely no sense from any perspective. It is an economically stupid move for Lego, it is an anti-consumer way of operating and if it does anything, it will result in more people that put sealed boxes on shelves instead of building a beautiful Lego castle and displaying it and/or integrating it into a larger whole.

@@JesusCheeseburger The Mountain fortress sold out very quickly, but I missed it with a few days or so. More recently, the mushroom house sold incredibly fast as well, I missed that one with about an hour before it sold out. I'm hoping the summer Creator 3 in 1 castle is a Wolfpack set. They only had 3 sets back in the day. How cool would it be if they all got modern updates in this form!
I would like that but I think it will be another black falcon because the name is the same as a vintage kit and its modern version is pictured on the new 3in 1 dragon box .
@jacobe1942 nice catch on the Dragon set! I think I'm in agreement it's not gonna be Wolfpack but I'm personally thinking it could also be Lion Knight's related.
@@louisrgc It could be.... that would be a fitting knight to pair up with the 3in 1 dragon. But just on history that would give us another black falcon. The catch I stumbled upon in a chat. I want 13 of the Wolfpack CMFs but I already see that it's gonna go out like crazy. There are already preorders on Polish eBay equivalent for 16 USD for a fig. Also - if they'd want to do a Wolfpack castle in the 3 in 1 they probably wouldn't allow the Wolfpack tower to be selected in BDP because of their rules.
Yeah the wolfpack cmf is gonna be the dragonborn all over again lol Oh and i had no idea lego actually had a rule that prevented them from double dipping with bdp sets & vice versa
@@Goldfyre I think it's gonna be much worse with the Wolfpack CMF than it is with the Dragonborn. CPAfol did an interview with a BDP manager 5 months ago where they explained the selection more but main thing is they don't select submissions which conflict with Lego portfolio plans. So it most probably won't be a Wolfpack castle in the 3in1 because then the Wolfpack tower would not be selected, which makes sense. Sad part is it means that the Wolfpack tower is probably the only Wolfpack set we're gonna get - it being selected in BDP means Lego had no plans in their own portfolio to release something like that :(
@@RalphPL I think the Wolfpack figure, as good as it looks, does not have the MOC appeal that the Dragonborn Paladin had. The parts are more specialized, apart from the legs and maybe the cape. Personally I would like to have a few of those wolves, but I can handle only having 1 Wolfpack figure. Having multiples of the torso, legs and armor pieces of the Paladin is still my major regret as I only own one Dragonborn. I'll trade you my second wolfpack for a dragonborn anyday :)
Ha yeah, your point about the Wolfpack Beastmaster's legs is spot on aye. The paucity of modern castle minifigs - and my personal impatience, tbh - has me scouring Bricklink and any new sets for parts for making my own characters akin to the Collectible ones. I was only thinking, a few days before the new series leaks came out, that I could really do with a few dark-coloured legs with boots and a belt that isn't too obvious (to ameliorate double-belt syndrome)... and LEGO delivered haha. But yeah, the fact you've noted that too likely means the competition for those Wolfpack minifigs is gonna be intense - as if that wasn't gonna be the case already!
I hadn't considered a Dragon Masters castle but I'd be down for it! The only reason I haven't army-built them yet is because I only own one of the newer versions. But I have plenty of shields from childhood to go with them
I'm very excited about all of these. I'm a big Lego Castle fan, and only recently started getting the Bricklink sets. I am a big fan of those sets. They tend to be way more detailed than the set Lego themselves do. I'm not interested in the medieval sets in February, but I am interested in the Riverside Scholar set that I think works well for a Medieval town setup, at least it will for me. I'm also super excited about the Adventures in Transylvania set, but I plan to use that as a backdrop set for my Nightmare Before Christmas set. Make a whole Halloween Town vibe with depth and height. I did not know about the 3-in-1 Castle set coming out. I am super excited to hear about that. I got 6 sets of the previous 3-in-1 castle as it made for fantastic customer build material.
I think the Knights castle will be black falcons again since the name is hommage to a classic kit, and that castle is on the box of the 3 in1 dragon but in a modernized version. it seemed to share the same blue roofs and yellow too. So I am not sure this new kit will be that much more different other than being more of a remake of a vintage castle. They need some kind of princess though to protect from the dragon.
An other option for that 3in1 castle would be the special kraken faction we voted for month ago as part of the lego idea prize machine (assuming that was the winner of the vote) Remains unlikely but still...
@@WolfpackBricks63 This is exactly what i said 😂 The figurine could be reused in that 3in1 castle the same way that the falcon knights were reused in the previous 3in1 from the idea blacksmith
Yeah they are not putting the winner in the castle that comes out before the minifig machine set. That's just not happening and I've seen some people saying this which absolutely makes no sense.
@@bz6046 i didn't knew we had a date for the idea prize machine But you're right, lego is not going to makes this fig in a 3in1 set before making it in the original set it was created for
@@bz6046 Agreed, this set has probably been in production for two years - long, long before the fan vote results. They'd have to throw together everything extremely last-minute
I can see the 3-1 castle set possibly giving a 4th Minifig. my thoughts are 1 towns person, 2 knights and if a 4th, hoping it’s a type of bad guy, but will probably be a ghost. With the knights and bad guy I hope they bring back the Black Knights, and to make everyone lose it make the bad guy Cedric The Bull. Lego also has an opportunity to do something wild and bring back the tournament knights from the late 70’s/early 80’s with the green/yellow stripe shield, shamrock shield, etc. We did got those shields in the Lion knights castle and the Minifig torsos could just be a re color of the black falcons and Lion knights. I doubt they would put a fright knight, dragon master, any of the CMF factions, or a faction for the prize machine like the kraken or griffin that was up for vote. Thoughts?
In either case the Castle 3 in 1 and the Gumball Prize machine will have factions that you can purchase on PAB once LKC retires, and into 2026, Hoping for new prints in the 3 in 1, or some other suprise. Also the Creator Dragon should have part of this, its huge, but still castle related
It's a very, very different Lego now. A huge emphasis on selling hyper-expensive sets to adult collectors and on licensed IP. Classic themes like Castle or pirates get maybe a set or two a year if you're lucky.
@@SO-ym3zs and the models! so many are just replicas of ordinary things! I do not understand that so much as the cost is sometimes more to do it in lego
The best advice I can give to someone just getting into Lego after decades away is to look away from Lego, too. A number of competitors have sprung up and are now making products as good as or better than Lego for lower prices (sometimes half what Lego charges), and you can get themes Lego doesn't provide or provide properly: Middle Ages, Old West, Cyberpunk, Steampunk, modern military, etc.
Great review of the upcoming year! I hadn’t considered that we’re unlikely to see new minifigs in a Creator set. I’m sure I’ll be happy with whatever they end up doing, but I was hoping for maybe updated Black Knights.
Thanks & yeah i totally agree, I reallllly want the Black Knights to get a modern update over basically any other faction at this point. I do have hopes that the next D2C Castle set will be for them tho so we'll see
@Goldfyre that would be just fine for me. Surely TLG knows that 6086 is widely considered their best classic castle design, right? With precedence established by the Eldorado Fortress, we know they can/will do a brick built “raised baseplate”.
I’m know you didn’t include Lord of the rings. But there is also the new Bag End in Summer!!!!!! That is something that I will only pick up, if the figs are good and plentiful. But I’m hoping!!!!! And imagine if there is a 70th anniversary figure in it!!!!! 70 years since the books were written. That would be insane.
Pretty exciting! If anything, we are getting quite a bit more than 2024, which considering how few it was is not saying much, but still an improvement nonetheless.
Yup! I hadn't realized how many sets made it through the Bricklink program until researching for this video. I do however wish there was more stuff from lego directly (& more affordable too)
I don’t think they’d go that far, maybe one new torso print?. The Viking village had three so it’s a possibility, but I doubt all 3 have a unique torso
Been waiting for this video. (Edit) Something I didn't see here was a green dragon 3in1 set i read about. Really look forward to the new world pack figure and set. Good video.
Really happy to hear a new 3 in 1 castle is coming, the outgoing one is such a great set. Not too interested in the Bricklink sets other than the seaside market, just too spendy. . . Patiently waiting for LEGO to release a new castle theme
I am very disappointed that there is no proper image leak for the fancy Blacktron remake that was rumored .... I hope they will make it later, and they don't just scrap it T_T. Leaks have been erratic of late. If the Creator 3in1 is treal, I suspect it will be a black-ish castle. We had a few gray ones, I expect they will want to make a diferent colored one - either Wolfpack or fancy neutral knights or Black Knights.
I've been a long time castle collector, and have been extremely 'bummed' that Lego pretty much neglects the theme for the most part... That said, FunWhole's Medieval series is fantastic and worth looking into not to mention priced very nicely (while Lego keeps getting more expensive as noted with the new 3 in 1).
I highly doubt the new 3in1 castle will be wolfpack themed, as the Bricklink Designer program will not choose to produce sets that conflict with any of Legos upcoming releases.
As a Castle fan, it’s frustrating to see LEGO dropping a few random sets a year and minifigs in things like the cmf. We deserve a proper theme again-who else agrees Castle needs a comeback? 🏰⚔ #BringBackLEGOCastle
I’m sick of Lego drip feeding Castle/Fantasy sets across random themes - I get that we only represent a tiny niche minority of Lego buyers, but there seems to be enough evidence to support that there’s interest out there, if not why do we keep seeing so many sets aligned with it. I’m desperately hoping that - at the very least - the anecdotal popularity of the D&D CMF line supported the idea that there’s a big market out there for a full D&D theme.
This is exactly how i feel put into words. I simply do not understand why LEGO doesn't go all out for castle like they have for other original themes. Unless LEGO has some inside information that goes against all the hype & interest medieval cmfs & sets seem to have I don't see why they wouldn't just embrace a full castle theme. 🙃
Also, we are NOT a niche minority, castle is among the most popular themes in Lego. Check out the massive amounts of Mocs dedicated to this theme, it completely obliterates just about any other theme except city based and train sets, possibly Starwars. Altough Starwars is certainly on a massive downtrend since there is no new source material worth basing sets off. Also, there are way more youtube channels dedicated to castle and castle-adjacent themes like D&D, Fantasy or Lord of the Rings. Modular buildings are more popular among a larger audience, but that's about it.
Only thing I can figure is the themes are usually marketed towards kids, who would stand no chance getting the sets against an army of castle-hungry AFOLs. For example, I kept seeing a lot of opened D&D CMFs at stores where I cleared the stock of dragons. Were they trying to find dragons of their own? How many did they buy and not get dragons before they started resorting to opening them in-store?
Lego in general has been putting huge resources into licensed IP themes and tie-ins. And any original themes often have some cartoon attached. Lego just doesn't pay the same attention to original or generic themes, like Castle, the way they did in the good old days :( Other manufacturers like Funwhole and BlueBrixx have stepped in to fill the void.
@@JesusCheeseburger This is exactly why I dislike the scanning app. For sure this is a good thing for people that want to insure they get the figures they want, but it does not work if some mini's are way more desireable than others. Eventually, there are only going to be scanned boxes with unwanted figures in every store and it is not going to be restocked as much, or not at all. Let's get this straight: this sucks, especially for kids that aren't as savvy as those AFOL's that run away with a bunch of desired figures before they ever had a chance to. I hope the kids will resort to in-store opening, opening every box and realise the system is rigged against them. Maybe then will Lego consider moving away from this horrible practice of blind boxes and massive disparity in popularity of specific figures.
I went to my local Walmart today & there lego selection wasn't the greatest I was hoping thay would have the new sets there was 1 2025 Lego City set & it was near the bottom on my list
So sick of these elusive, expensive, adult-oriented sets from Bricklink being basically the only option for Lego Castle. I want to see a proper theme with a range of sets at different price points like we have with the recent Lego City Space theme.
Couldn't agree more, if LEGO only makes adult (expensive af sets) how is there ever going to be a new generation of fans. They're unironically killing the theme by only releasing these
At least the castle coming out is only 120$ ( which is something many more people can afford ), other price options would be fantastic but this is undeniably better then another 400$
for adults directly? sadly no. However there could be something in Autumn that we just haven't heard about yet. Id be very surprised if LEGO doesn't have a single castle related d2c set come out in 2025
Hot take, the need for battle packs is pretty much obsolete with the fact all current castle minifigure parts are available on the LEGO PAB site. Just my opinion.
@BDD_Builds I know the price is unrealistic, but a 15$ battle pack with four minifigures with partly special gear and maybe some prints and siege weapons would still be much more affordable than an order on PaB. I personally think that building a set is a lot funnier.
Please send the blueprints to those nice Chinese companies that sell them at 1/10th the price and still make great profit, AND we can buy them. Fun must be cheap for all, not for the rich and priviledged
The lego team showcased four classic sets back in 2022 for a modern revival. 3 in castle, Lion Knights castle, and Forest hideout are three of sets. Leaving the Black Knight castle as the last of four, and they already revealed their new sigil. The Wolfpack on the other hand wouldn't have been approved by BDP if lego had plans for them. Also the name of the set is Knights castle, while the Wolfpack are outlaws.
knights castle is an old black falcons castle. Its going to look similar I think, its also modern version is on the box of the Dragon so yeah I am not to think its a new faction.

It's not Saturday goldfyre, you should keep this up
lol
Excelent summary, thanks 👍
Yo, you forgot about the Shire set leak! But I had no clue there was gonna be another 3-in-1 castle, it sounds awesome.😁
That's technically LOTR not castle but I get your point.
Shire + the Balrog vs Gandalf bridge fight as well.
They need some kind of princess though to protect from the dragon.
well that's about it for medieval cmfs because theres the formula cars series coming after series 27 and theres a rumored spiderman cmf after that
I wish lego would just bring back castle for real.
Wolf pack is back?! They were my favourites!
I wish Lego would bring back all the factions with there own castles. Like the lions knight castle, as there is such a huge market for it.
An other option for that 3in1 castle would be the special kraken faction we voted for month ago as part of the lego idea prize machine (assuming that was the winner of the vote)
Remains unlikely but still...
That was for the gumball machine, not a Creator 3in1 set
@@WolfpackBricks63
This is exactly what i said 😂
The figurine could be reused in that 3in1 castle the same way that the falcon knights were reused in the previous 3in1 from the idea blacksmith
Yeah they are not putting the winner in the castle that comes out before the minifig machine set. That's just not happening and I've seen some people saying this which absolutely makes no sense.
@@bz6046 i didn't knew we had a date for the idea prize machine
But you're right, lego is not going to makes this fig in a 3in1 set before making it in the original set it was created for
@@bz6046 Agreed, this set has probably been in production for two years - long, long before the fan vote results. They'd have to throw together everything extremely last-minute
The new wolfpack cmf shield is awesome
Just ended a 30 year long dark age. Was shocked there was no castle. So sad.
There are castles just not a full on theme.
I smell more D&D/Fantasy oriented mods and game campaigns in the future with this stuff
I would say you missed the new Creator 3 in 1 Green Dragon. The design for that set is SO good, almost rivaling the Red Dragon from the DnD set.
Can not wait for these.
3 in 1 wolfpack set!!!! that i'd buy 4 times
I am looking forward to Lego Minifigures Series 27.
I think it could be Black Knights or Dragon Masters, we are getting a Creator Dragon.
black falcons again I think since that is the name of the vintage black falcon castle. its also on the box of the dragon
Any chance the new figure from the Prize Machine would make it to pick a brick?
Definitely a possibility as it’s not a licensed set. Lego would most likely make a lot of money if it was so there’s that too
I’m know you didn’t include Lord of the rings.
I do however wish there was more stuff from lego directly (& more affordable too)
@@Goldfyre It's still early, there could be more. Last year we had a few unexpected great things too.
Nice vid also i got 4 tornament knights damn you xD
I hope that the prize knight gets out before Late summer because I can’t wait that long
I wish Lego would release a few cheap castle sets instead of real asking unaffordable castle sets for afols.
With the creator set they could get real creative and include 3 different minifig torsos. Amd each build would be a variant for that faction.
I don’t think they’d go that far, maybe one new torso print?. The Viking village had three so it’s a possibility, but I doubt all 3 have a unique torso
I love the transylvania set!
guess i need to go and buy 2 or 3 more 3in1 of the current castle set now since they will be replacing it
Really hoping there will be more Castle surprises in 2025!
me too! I'm holding out hope that there will be a d2c set in Autumn
Been waiting for this video.
(Edit) Something I didn't see here was a green dragon 3in1 set i read about. Really look forward to the new world pack figure and set.
Good video.
Yeah i kinda forgot to include it in this list as it didn't feel "lego castle-y" enough.
I did add a pinned comment linking to it tho :)
Really happy to hear a new 3 in 1 castle is coming, the outgoing one is such a great set. Not too interested in the Bricklink sets other than the seaside market, just too spendy. . . Patiently waiting for LEGO to release a new castle theme
lotr shire d2c and gandalf vs balrog set
I just want them to make another homage to the ghost minifigure.
Dragon master castle would be fire 🔥 because it is very hard to get the fig from the gwp
I live in denmark and we all ready have the lego black falkons 3 in 1 castle set
Yep we have the same one in the US. I was talking about the recently leaked info that we're getting a NEW 3in1 castle next summer :)
The old black falcon 3 in 1 set is going out of print soonish.
Love your videos 😂😂😂😂😂
Ayy thanks! :)
What would really be nice, but highly unlikely, is if the new Creator Castle set is for whatever faction won for the prize machine..
For the summer release, I hope when they say “castle” they’re just referring to medieval in general and not just another actual castle.
I highly doubt the new 3in1 castle will be wolfpack themed, as the Bricklink Designer program will not choose to produce sets that conflict with any of Legos upcoming releases.
what is this prize machine that you speak of at the end, where a new knight may emerge?
1:06 Is she holding a Flat Sliver Cutlass?
Could be it looks the same color as the long sword.
Theres also a new harry potter set coming out at the start of the year. For $80 it's not great value but the build looks nice
After they did the year of space, I was really hoping for a year of castle 😢.
As a Castle fan, it’s frustrating to see LEGO dropping a few random sets a year and minifigs in things like the cmf. We deserve a proper theme again-who else agrees Castle needs a comeback? 🏰⚔ #BringBackLEGOCastle
With the lego castle 3 in 1 retiring in 2024 and the lion knights castle retiring mid 2025. It would leave a massive gap for castle fans.
Wolf pack castle is so good they have a wolf on the shield wat more do I have to say 😊
It’s depressing how short this video is
I wish the lion knights castle could stay another year.
Is it retiring in 2025?
@Goldfyre i thought rivendell and lion knights castle were going to be retired 2025 January 1st
2025 is our wolf pack year
a man can hope
Bring back the green dragons 🐉
As a castle and fantasy geek and AFOL who hasn't won the lottery yet, I think Ninjago is the way to go, if you are on a budget
100% agree
from time to time they put out absolutely gorgeous looking dragons
@Goldfyre and amazing location builds too
I’m sick of Lego drip feeding Castle/Fantasy sets across random themes - I get that we only represent a tiny niche minority of Lego buyers, but there seems to be enough evidence to support that there’s interest out there, if not why do we keep seeing so many sets aligned with it.
I can see the CMF’s chain mail arms being used for Fallout desert rangers be fallout fans.
What is with you hating the bricklink series?
So sick of these elusive, expensive, adult-oriented sets from Bricklink being basically the only option for Lego Castle. I want to see a proper theme with a range of sets at different price points like we have with the recent Lego City Space theme.
Couldn't agree more, if LEGO only makes adult (expensive af sets) how is there ever going to be a new generation of fans. They're unironically killing the theme by only releasing these
At least the castle coming out is only 120$ ( which is something many more people can afford ), other price options would be fantastic but this is undeniably better then another 400$
We need smaller sets for those with a smaller budget
LEGO. MAKE A CASTLE THEME AND TAKE ALL OF OUR MONEY. CASTLE SETS SELL OUT IMMEDIATELY. JUST DO IT.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bruh actally I was hoping for a joust but its alr
A big d2c joust set would be sick
@@Goldfyre Yes, I really appreciate you read all your comments!
I‘m not quite sure if this is coming but I’ve heard a rumor about Lego how to train your dragon
I've also heard about that! Apparently it's gonna be a one off set without any figs
It's a brick built Toothless set without figs as far as we know.
@@bz6046 such a shame. they could have made such beautiful sets
So, almost nothing, but a qazillion Harry Potter sets.
🤫 first rule of bricklink, we dont talk about brinklink,
So… nothing castle-themed for adults at retail this year?
for adults directly? sadly no.
However there could be something in Autumn that we just haven't heard about yet. Id be very surprised if LEGO doesn't have a single castle related d2c set come out in 2025
If you look closely to the new 3-1 green dragon box, there's a castle in there 🙄
We NEED more castle sets! I would give my 75051 Jango Fett minifig for a black falcon battle pack.
real
Hot take, the need for battle packs is pretty much obsolete with the fact all current castle minifigure parts are available on the LEGO PAB site. Just my opinion.
@BDD_Builds I know the price is unrealistic, but a 15$ battle pack with four minifigures with partly special gear and maybe some prints and siege weapons would still be much more affordable than an order on PaB. I personally think that building a set is a lot funnier.
@FledermannHaider "I know the price is unrealistic... ...much more affordable than PAB." PAB isn't even that expensive, like $3 a guy.
Please send the blueprints to those nice Chinese companies that sell them at 1/10th the price and still make great profit, AND we can buy them.
Fun must be cheap for all, not for the rich and priviledged
How much money have you spent on legos? I’m hitting 40k
tbh i have no idea but i honestly don't spend much on LEGO now adays apart from cmfs & parts orders
Yeah, great, but the prices of those bricklink sets are outrageous....
yup! not a fan of how most of the BDP sets are just as expensive as the 18+ collector lego sets
