Hi Lindieeee 💌 I would love to see more of your paper planners / bujos / language journal... I love planning stuff and I would love to get inspired by your journals!
Notion was overkill for me. I would spend more time working “on” notion than getting work done that I had logged or listed “in” notion. And I really thought it more difficult to find things as far as notes and information. Glad it’s not just me
I would love to see your paper planners! I'm back to a a physical planner this year for the same reason as you - Notion was becoming too much and I'd spend too much time tweaking with things that didn't need any more improvement.
Do I have an organization system that I’ve spent years developing that works for me? Yes. Did I watch this video anyway just because I enjoy the quality Lindie Botes content? Also yes.
@@krpzsvrm Happy to help, or at least try. Essentially I use a bullet journal where I divide my life into both measurements of time and life catergories and the intersect like a grid. the categories are "self care, work, house care, learning, creative, athletic, and personal relationships" and then i make checklists for all the categories starting with what I want for the year, then the quarter, then the month, week, and day and just refresh my lists as time progresses. I hope this makes sense its kinda hard to sum up in a paragraph lol.
Hi Lindie! Great video. Greats tips about apps for organization and productivity. Lately, I’m more into analogic stuff, so I’m writing down my thing, only using apps when I have to create a reminder or an alarm. So I’m doing journaling in a simple way. However I want to improve things I could do. So if you could share how you do this it’ll be great. Thanks a lot for all your content, language learning and so on. Thanks.

Have you ever looked into obsidian? Its pretty lightweight and you can make it as fancy as you want with add-ons. I use mine as simple as possible. I mostly use tags and a few folders to keep things organized.
Hi Lindie!! I'd love to understand how you use both digital and analog ways of organizing your life! I notice when I try to use a bullet journal and a calendar/kanban board, I start to get overwhelmed with the amount of places I'm logging things, and forget about my kanban or my bullet journal, or can't decide where to put what. Curious how you approach both methods and how it works for you!
Hi Lindie, I resonate and agree with many of the apps and choices here, great video! What web-builder did you use for your website? The blog is so seamless and functional I may want to use the same builder to set up my own.
As for now I only use Notion for task management and info-banking, Samsung Notes (same benefits as Apple Notes you mentioned) for quick notes and handwritten notes, and spreadsheets only if I need some more complex data management (like managing my uni progress). Works great and is helping me a lot, especially since I got a tablet with a pen recently - mobile version of Notion works basically like on desktop (on phone it's indeed slow) and digital handwritten notes (especially for uni and langs) are a blessing 😊
@@brendalg4 Galaxy Tab S9 FE. Well, if it's slow for you, I can also recommend you creating light mobile versions of the pages you need to use on mobile Notion (like removing pics, unnecessary db views, etc, to make it load faster) :)
Superlist seems great! I love being able to categorize a list within a list. Evernote became annoying to me because I can't use it offline anymore. Notion was overwhelming for me--not a bad app but... Yeah. 😅 Absolutely want to see tips on bullet journaling. I want a way to track my voice diaries, lang goals, etc. But I'm not quite sure I'm doing it correctly. 😢
I wish i saw this video a lot earlier. New to your channel and subscribed. I am already in the apple ecosystem but wasted too much time looking for the flashy shiny app . Wasted lots of money in subscriptions and it was too overwhelming to learn lots of things, facing sync issues in different apple devices etc . Your video is a eye opener to me. The best simple note taking "apple notes" is already available free, i wonder why i ignored it and looking for paid flashy apps. Starting to use apple notes from today . Lessons learnt by wasting lot of my time with other apps.
Very useful video! 💯 Would love to know more about your paper planners + also how you decide when to use a digital planner vs. using a paper planner or notebook. And nice screensaver, by the way!

Hey ,lenne egy pár kérdésem de előszőr csak annyi hogy te tudnál engem amerikiul tanítani , ? Már tanulom de jobb lenne egy olyan tol tanulni aki ilyen jól beszél,
I also felt like Notion was amazing but just TOO MUCH. I don't have any Apple products so I can't use Apple Notes but I did a quick search and saw that Google Keep may be comparable. I'll check out the other ones you mentioned too. Personally I would love to see how you use bullet journaling and AI for productivity as well!
I love google keep. Can access on Samsung or apple which is nice ( or windows). Same idea with OneNote. You don’t have to have a subscription for just using onenote. It’s pretty quick for creating a list here and there for something or you can keep a lot there if you want
i also enjoyed having a simple device like lg g4 back in the day, with 2tb of storage on it. basically any files on my computer could be copied onto it. it also acted as a back up for my pc, and my pc a back up for it. but i miss THAT. just simplicity of having alot of storage on my device. i dont like all the online programs. unless it's speechify or google docs. only reason i like google docs is because i dont like microsoft word and i need SOME program to type documents on. i just felt alot more in control when i am solely managing my files, instead of using online platforms for it.
I love(d) Evernote, but then they ramped the price until it was out of reach for people who use it for simple note storage. Then they made the mobile apps slow and cumbersome and ramped the price even higher. I know I'm not their ideal customer, I would've paid a few bucks a month simply to NOT have to switch.
This is helpful, I am still searching for a replacement to Evernote, but after saying it was too expensive, how you settled on Apple which requries more expensive hardware, broken standards, and a closed ecosistema is beyond me 😂
I think y'all waste too much time caring about how pretty things look. Even when I see people using pen and paper they're wasting time on "cute" title and stuff

I just went through 3 days of back and forth with Notion until I was completely overwhelmed. Thank you for the other productivity suggestions.

Evernote is pricey, yet could afford all of the overpriced Apple devices.
Apple devices are overpriced but they do much more. Evernote is a note/tasp app. An tablet/laptop can do everything.
