I totally understand that, I work 8h a day, I’m back in college for my second bachelor’s, this time in Physics and I study 5 languages, I’m already fluent in 3
I was about to go to sleep in a few minutes later lying in my bed and just scrolling, but I came across your video and got out of bed again and opened my Japanese textbook. 💪🏻
Every time you upload a video my heart warms. I'm happy to see you well Lindie. May life bring you beautiful things in the present and in the future ❤️
Please talk more about ADHD and productivity, can be related to language learning or not. It's so helpful and needed! I am at a point in life when I'm considering multiple jobs too (also called being a multipotentialite), because doing only one thing makes me miserable since there are so many topics I care about. But It's scary to actually take a risk and try it out considering my BRAIN (I said the word) doesn't cooperate.
I've watched multiple of your language videos, but I just discovered that you're a ux/ui designer! That blew my mind. I'm going to binge-watch your videos from now on. I'm amazed by how you manage all of your activities and feel so motivated by you. I'm a designer who wants to keep up with my language studies too, but I always come home exhausted from commuting in Thailand. So I maintain my duolingo streak with 10 minutes a day. I also have adhd and I'm an infj, so I would love to see more content on time management, productivity, and design. Lastly, I love brain dumping and would love to see how you brain dump and organize your tasks! BRAIN 🧠
You are so much funnier in this video, I really enjoy your funny side - this side of yours that I think was more present in the videos of the beggining of your channel. I like the current topics of your videos, but it would be nice to have a few "study xyz language with me", how you program the study of 4 competences and how you really end up doing it, becayse the short videos you upload showing it are very comfy and motiviating to watch.
Hehe, thank you! I went through a hard time but as I get better I feel my usual self is coming back :') Thanks for the suggestion, I'll definitely make some videos on that!
Thank you for this really helpful video! One video topic that I'd love to see is how to stop yourself from overworking. I've realized that while I hit my language goals (at least for my main language right now, Korean) and mostly manage to do what I'd planned to, I'm also gradually exhausting myself.
I love this approach ! I hope this video reaches everyone who needs it! I believe ADHD can be a superpower, it's not easy to master it but it's possible.
I am definitely interested in more content related to productivity, goal setting, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, time management. UPDF looked good. I really liked the summarizing feature! Thanks as always Lindie ❤
I’m sure people would love to see short videos about how you actually learn languages with specific examples, arranged according to certain themes. Like “I’ve had difficulty with X, so I did Y - and this is how it turned out”. For instance, “Kanji is a barrier to learning Japanese, this is what I’ve tried and this is how it’s worked out” Or “I have ADHD so this is how I manage to remain consistent and remain motivated”
I'm looking for a job and trying to balande other interests, and themed days is the thing I naturally adopted and is helping me a lot! Some days I just want to focus on learning persian, some days I want to work on my CVs, and some days I want to do a little bit of everything. It's nice being able to trust your guts and being better off for that!
I’m really happy that you are feeling better and getting healthy! This video is really useful because I struggle to consistently be productive. Baie dankie vir al jou video’s, jy is a baie groot insperasie vir my, omdat taal leer nie rerig ‘n ding ons kultuur is nie, (veral nie hier in Namibië nie). Baie dankie vir alles.
I came for the language learning, but I'm also really struggling with my ADHD as I get older, so yeah: I'm all onboard for productivity content. And anything else interesting that you decide to post, because ADHD
Lindie, I've been watching you for a decent amount of time now, and I mainly watch your older videos. I have never seen you express this much personality in a video before! Really though, this is a great video. It will help me to learn languages, make music, run my RUclips channel and study.
I'm really interested in the details of your planning strategy. As a full-time worker with poor time management skills who is planning to pursue a master's degree and actively learn multiple languages, this video gave me a lot of hope. Do you have any planner templates, like on Notion, that show how you juggle learning languages, work, etc.? I would love it if you could make a detailed video about this. Thank you!
Persistent drive for autonomy or Pathological demand avoidence is a espetrum of autism but this can also be along side ADHD, in short words you can't force yourself to do something unless you trick your brain to do it.
omg i'm so excited i found your channel, you sound exactly like me. i've recently started to investigate if i have adhd and it seems like that's the case. i love learning languages, i'm having classes for spanish now and i decided to start learning korean as well. i decided to stop letting other people's comments get on the way of what i want to do, so if i want to study two languages, then i'm gonna. i also like to draw and paint, i love movies and cinema and reading about it. i love reading multiple types of books. i like to watch series. i want to properly learn the keyboard, because i lke playing it. i like writting and i wish i could do it more. these are a lot of things and people usually say well you should do just one and i can't do it because i'm so excited about all of it and i love everything so i mostly end up doing nothing and it's frustrating. i'm starting to try to organize my days and seeing what you're doing is similar to what i'm trying and i'm getting so many tips from here. i'm really excited to accompany you from now on.
Yes, videos on time management and language learning topics, please. I am not ADHD, but pretty close, I'm an ENFP... or maybe I'm also ADHD... because I identify with EVERYTHING you've said in this video, and I love the tools you've given. TY!
These tips are great! Right now I am doing themed weeks for my languages, personally I feel like I get some days during the week to review what I am learning instead of themed days (which I tried in the past), but definitely having an organization is everything! If you can add more content about productivity related to languages it would be very interesting, I love these two topics 🫶🏻♡
Hi! loved your video! I also love to do 100000 things, and I was always feeling, what is wrong with me? because should be insane to think or even do 10000 things, but I guess we are not alone! I always plan on theme days base of languages and personal projects I work on.. One day is for drawing, UI Design, RUclips and Cantonese and other day is for UX Design, 3D, Instagram and Japanese.
I needed to hear the "deprioritize...language" part. I'm spending waayyy to much time practicing Korean when I need to get my Japanese down before I visit this winter :()
Finally a video about productivity for ADHD people!! 🥺I've watched A LOT of these type of videos and they always recommend time blocking but I just can't! 🥲 Thanks for all your tips! I'll be implementing them
Lindie, I back your flawless & excellent channel every inch! Your videos are the best among the rest of the English teaching channels on RUclips!👍🏻🇺🇸🧑🎓🎓💯👏🏻📚📰
Lindie, I've been a long-time follower of yours and usually don't comment, but I couldn't help but notice the bookshelf behind you and the expansive range of literature you have (I loved Malibu Rising and am planning on reading The Idiot soon)! Would you ever consider doing a video of your favourite recent reads?
Really enjoyed this take on productivity (an odd word in this context IMO!) and prioritizing. And, of course, always enjoy hearing about your personal journey
To me your productivity just feels intimidating. And I am a fellow ADHDer. I am not writing to make you feel bad, just wondering out loud. I mean, what about daily tasks? Are you doing five thousand tasks AND laundry, cooking, washing dishes and all that jazz? Just how do you do that? P.S. I think that 3/5 second rule works because a ND brain needs transition time and this countdown allows it to change tasks easier. I'll try this method for sure!
I do themed days! Luckily for me I speak exactly 7 foreign languages :D I've made stations for each language in Apple Podcasts, created folders for each language in Feedly (you can add both webpages and RUclips channels there), and I have separate folders on my PC for each language with study books & reading books. So each day I get a calendar notification at 7 am with the language of that day, and then I choose from this three option what do I feel like doing now. About time management it works for me to add ALL my ideas and tasks to Google tasks, and then before falling asleep I choose a few that I feel like doing tomorrow, you can mark them as "completed" and it gives satisfaction (if you choose "show completed tasks" in the settings), and also if you didn't do the task it will hang on top of the calendar FO-RE-VER 😱
Lindie! Hope you’re well. I love the content, as always but I’m here for the quirkiness. The sneezing fit had me rolling. 🤣 Btw, I’m learning Southern Vietnamese, it’s so hard! 🙏🏼
i’m currently a language student at an intensive language program and we are learning SO MUCH each day i’m having trouble keeping up. could you do a video for language school learners? there are a lot of us and we are all dying 😅 2 grammar rules and appx 30-50 new vocab words per day. i’m studying korean~
I’m currently learning Dutch and Japanese, and I also want to reach the C1 level in English. I also wanted to learn mandarin and french, but then decided that it’s a lot for my brain and it’s not my priorities. I’m learning Dutch because living in Belgium and want to move to the Netherlands after, and im learning Japanese because of beautiful music they produce (I’m musician)
Thank you for sharing! Where can I find natives to practice speaking with? I am currently using HelloTalk and I have friends abroad, but its tough to schedule live calls with the time difference. Thank you again!
brain! I like your content in general so I like watching anything but I do like more casual vlog or study/work with me types of stuff. I find it helps me feel like I can relate to the video more than someone just giving me a bunch of tips but I never actually "get to know" you. if that makes sense?
New content idea: how to move into, move out, settle in, job hunt, community build, natural disaster prep in a new/similiar/rural/unsimilar/driving etc city/town/country etcetc
I don’t think time blocking makes sense for anybody because of the mental cost of task switching. Just cause the clock hands moved doesn’t mean you’re at a good place to stop what you’re currently doing or start something else.
Why do I feel that at the end you said "don't remember to subscribe" lmao If that was the case, I feel that you should have left that as a blooper 😅 nice video
Also as far as polyglots are concerned, they don’t speak all languages at the same level. There might be several they are fluent in and others only proficient or even less. Also you have better aptitude in some languages over others. Anyone who says they are fluent in 12 languages is not being totally honest. A native speaker will embarrass them really fast.
Hey y'all! Get more done in less time with UPDF: Get pro with a limited offer: bit.ly/3z2lmao

Hi Lindie! I would love to see more on prioritization and time management. I have ADHD and neither of those are my strong suit.
I second that
Plus I didn't even know that Lindie was an ADHD'er
I'd love a life update video on why you quit your job!
I will consider it xD
I've watched multiple of your language videos, but I just discovered that you're a ux/ui designer! That blew my mind. I'm going to binge-watch your videos from now on.

BRAIN!! Your videos are always so inspiring Lindieee!
Yay! Thank you Michy 💕
I love this approach ! I hope this video reaches everyone who needs it! I believe ADHD can be a superpower, it's not easy to master it but it's possible.
Honestly vlogs and just whatever you’re pursuing life is fine 🎉❤.
Can’t help but notice Bunny in the background. Love that book! Some of the others are on my tbr as well.
I haven’t read it yet! I’m glad to hear you liked it 😃
Off topic but your dissertation topic is so cool I love hearing about these specific scopes people go for.
Thank you so much!
The best adhdh tips ever! I do the brain dump and the 2 minute rule and they are game changers for my little paralysed brain! Thank youu
I am definitely interested in more content related to productivity, goal setting, lifestyle, entrepreneurship, time management.

Lindie herself is an INFJ with ADHD :D

My psychologist said that if you have issues solving anything, she said you can split it in several parts.
Lindie, I back your flawless & excellent channel every inch!
Your videos are the best among the rest of the English teaching channels on RUclips!👍🏻🇺🇸🧑🎓🎓💯👏🏻📚📰
I think having a video on language journalling and how to connect with the language would be nice!

LOVE the idea of themed days!! Defo wanna try it ✨
Hi Lindie! I would actually like to see more videos where you talk about UI/UX design. But whatever you want/works for you :))

Lindie, would you ever do a video about job hunting? I think you touched on it your other videos but I would be curious of your process for that
Just LinkedIn tbh 😂
Are you planning on learning Thai again? Would be fun to see more people learning Thai.
Thank you for sharing! Where can I find natives to practice speaking with? I am currently using HelloTalk and I have friends abroad, but its tough to schedule live calls with the time difference. Thank you again!
