I love the idea of FOV in this. I think they should add a "realistic mode" where the FOV is cut down to about 165 degrees and dependent on where you point the mouse.
@Jesse: Yes, teleporting is horrifying. There's some I think quantum physics concepts involved in theoretical teleportation. Essentially, what you need are a whole ton of a kind of particle that has an equal particle elsewhere. Get all of one set in one place, all of the other set in the place you want to go. The matter you want to teleport will be dissolved and destroyed, but an exact copy will be reformed at the other set of particles. I believe this has teleported photons, but only that.

I'm probably the only one who'll be interested in this, but I think Jesse should play some sort of Grand Strategy game, Crusader Kings II , Europa Universalis 3 , Victoria 2, etc. They are hard and frustrating and I would laugh so hard watching Jesse play them.
you can use shot guns to hit anything. though it depends on a shell. a spread shot or bird shot can be used for long range, As its used for hunting. then you get into the buck shot range thats used for close range. The difference is the size and amount of pellets. and there is a scaling. i think most video games use the 00, wich is the second to the highest buckshot. Wich is close range. the military also use this variety of shel.
the plot for this game looks pretty much the same as DOOM "teleportation experiments fail, need military rescue, MONSTERS EVERYWHERE SOMEBODY SHOOT THEM!"
A lot of games could learn from the shotgun in this, just from looking at it being used it feels powerful. A lot of games fail at making their guns feel right, which is a shame.
