    I’ve spent countless hours on these parables. Mat 13 parables are one of my favorite topics. And I just have to say thank you so much so very much for teaching that the mustard seed parable is not about the church. Because it’s not. It’s about the corruption of the word of the kingdom You got it right! there are so many I mean, like you said the majority teach that this is about the church and about the church growing, but it’s not. It specifically as Jesus defines the word of the kingdom being corrupted amen and praise Jesus that you got that right

    Dear God, forgive me for the times when I have hidden my light. I know believing and trusting in you sets me apart in this world of darkness. You have made me to stand out as a light to guide others to you. Help me to have the courage to embrace this calling and be your hands and feet. May I live a life that shines and brings you glory. In Jesus' name, amen Shalom YAHWEH Rebukes 🩸🔥👣💯🙏⚕️🕊️😭🍇⛽👑🍷🤳.

    Great teaching!!
    Something I learned recently about soils is that fields that are healthy, weeds will not grow. Fields that are lacking in certain nutrients provide a place for weeds to thrive.
    Thank you Lord for this ministry!!

    In the parable of the Mustard seed, Jesus is echoing Ezekiel 17, in which Israel will be like a
    "noble Cedar
    , and under it will dwell all kinds of beasts , in the shade of its branches birds of every sort will nest
    ..."
    and in Ezekiel 31, in which the mighty empire of Egypt is like a
    "Cedar of Lebanon.....and its branches long
    , all the birds of the air made their nest in its bows
    under its branches all the beasts of the field brought forth their young
    and under its shadow dwelt all great Nations
    ...".
    Birds don't always symbolize something evil.
    In the parable of the mustard seed, the birds don't represent an evil corruption within the church.
    Jesus is calling back to Old Testament symbols of mighty kingdoms (mighty cedars).....and he's contrasting that with the unassuming kingdom of heaven (mustard tree).

    Why do pastor’s describe money as seed?

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  Год назад +2

      Some pastors put an overemphasis on giving to God in order to receive a multiplied blessing back from God. Their idea is that money is like a seed that you put into the ground, and then later on, like a plant, it grows and gives you a multiplied return.
      It is better to see that the blessing that we receive by giving to God's work is that we are investing in God's kingdom. which may or may not include a financial blessing in return. Imagine a person that gives $100 to help a student go to Bible college. That student graduates, and is greatly used by God to bring people to Christ. That financial investment, that "seed" that was sown, brings great spiritual fruit. IMO, that is a better way to consider money as a "seed". I hope that this helps.

    So you haven’t said this yet, and I’m hoping you realize this that these parables are in chronological order

  • @senaidapoulsen6105

    Jesus is the tree we are the branches
    I see all these parables as if the mercy seed of Christ the Holy Spirit does not birth us we cant be birthed into the likeness of Christ.
    But if The Holy Spirit birth us
    Nothing can take us out of the Hand of God
    Jesus is The Grace Of God 💗🥰
    Or what do you say?

      Very interesting distinction.
      And indeed, Jesus Christ is the Grace of God!

    What I’ve always wondered is why Jesus used a woman in the 11? I guess it makes sense because women are the one making the bread. And I shouldn’t read too much into it like you said in the beginning this is not an allegory.

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  14 дней назад

      Pastor Lance replies - Teh simplest reason is because in that culture, women were the one who made bread.

  • @ashlimyers207

    Oh, you glossed over the parable of the treasure and the net far too quickly. The treasure is Israel. The pearl is unclean. Jesus is talking to Jews. The pearl is a foreshadow of the church. Unclean people being a pearl of great price. A Jew wouldn’t wear the most expensive pearl in the world in that day because they consider them unclean and would defile them
