The topic of 6 -24 hour days vs the idea a day could have been a million years came up in our Bible study group yesterday. Well, too long to text but my response was that I take the entire Bible literally including the 24 hour days. I asked the question, if we can't believe that, what other doctrines will we believe or not believe.
You should take the Bible literarily not literally. Is Jesus a door? Have you ever studied the early church fathers and the church writings that followed? No one is in agreement about Gen 1. No one made a church creed (canonized doctrines) of 7 literal days until recently with the 7th Day Adventists. All the early creeds was willing to do was say “God Created” when they most certainly had good reasons to state “time” in creation against the several false teachings happening around them all the time…but they wouldn’t because Gen 1 is not actually clear. It can legitimately be taken several ways. I believe God did this (confused time) for good reasons.
The only thing I do know is that more I know about Jesus more I love Him. And I thank Him from the bottom of my heart for creating us and creating a beautiful world for us to live in.

Were you there when God began the creation of our universe from nothing? I even looked up the Greek word “Mythos”…it can mean false, true, or a mix of truth and story. For us it is true story. The Bible is not a book of empirical science. It is a book of theological truths. Do we not take cultural and knowledge development into context? Who, when, was God speaking to then? What was their understanding of time…day? They understood “day” in many ways along with long concepts of it. They came in and out of cultures that had long time periods of creation. They knew creation accounts and time frames very well. They didn’t need it explained, but they did need a sensible daily work and worship pattern to follow….. God had to explain in the terms of their era in the ANE.

The 6 days of creation was not the creation of the cosmos, but was the creation of life on the planet earth. Gen.1:1, 2-31 The 4th day was the creation of the solar system. Notice that sun light was formed for the earth only on day four, yet the vegetation was already formed and thriving on day three. The first 3 night and day were derived from the spiritual light formed on day one. But from day four onward, the night and day began from the light of the sun. Notice that water was already covering the whole earth and was formed not during the 6 days of the creation of life. Gen.1:1-2

Hi, I'm not sure what your question is refurring to, but if you are meaning dinosaur's in scripture in Job God describes two. He describes In Job 40 from verse 15 “Behold, Behemoth, which I made as I made you; he eats grass like an ox. 16 Behold, his strength in his loins, and his power in the muscles of his belly. 17 He makes his tail stiff like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together. 18 His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like bars of iron. Who in verse 25 he drinketh up a river. Then all through chapter 41 God describes the strength of Leviathan. I hope that helped.

Remember this -that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Directly above the firmament is water, and directly above the water is Heaven where God's Throne is. This is why the sky is blue like water in the daytime. This is why stars shimmer like translucent lights either in water or with water above them (Google actual video footage of stars NOT taken by NASA). Nasa ironically is a Hebrew word which means to deceive/beguile/trick as used in Genesis 3:13 when Eve said the serpent tricked her. The Heliocentric Globe Earth Theory, Theory of Evolution, and Big Bang Theories are all satanic in nature and designed to keep us thinking that we are meaningless masses of cells in a never-ending universe and especially keep us from knowing the Truth of Creation and how close our Creator really is to us.
Love this, but the canopy theory has been rejected by almost all creation scientists. It's not possible from a physics standpoint. It really makes you look bad as a teacher to continue teaching this.
All we have in this universe is experiential evidences. Thus “appearance” of the physical is what we have along with the spiritual “appearance” of prompting’s of God. If God said that the cosmos was for us to use for determining time then…THATS WHAT WE HAVE! That’s what we must use. “In the beginning God CREATED the Universe.” When was that? Certainly not on “day” one. “Beginning” is an indeterminate start. If a literal scientifically 24 hour “day” (which never actually happens according to our methods of time measurement) is defined as night/day rotation (which is how it is actually defined by Jewish traditions) then the “first day” is wonky! The first “day” is night/day/night = 1.5 days. So what words will we eisogesis into the text instead of exegesis to explain away this discrepancy? I assume the “first day” was special of course since it had to be defined somehow. There was a looooooooong night before light….ok…. According to the rest of scripture, the sole purpose of “day one” was to establish God and His Light and Word-the coronation of Jesus as the Ruler of even this Universe and the conqueror of evil-the darkness. This spiritual Light is what creates life. When God removes the clouded vale of darkness over the Earth He assigns the life giving matter of light over to the sun’s He already created but now exposing. Question: does it take God all “day” long for these things? Is He bounded by OUR 24 hour day? We also notice, that God only “works” for 12 hours per “day”. From the rest of scripture we know that God never stops working and resting. We know He can and does things in an instantaneous “time”. Did God then indeed “rest” on “day” seven? No. He was just done with the initial work that sets the stage for the rest of history… Obviously Gen 1 is a omniscient way to inform and hide from the devil and us of many things. Pure unique genius! I would expect nothing less. It is not until AFTER Jesus’s Cruxifiction that our 20/20 spiritual insight/hindsight begins…this includes our progressing scientific understandings which brings clearer everyday the evolutionary idea’s already held within the world and church long before the Christian Darwin started the modern version of it. Unfortunately, like Tolkien’s dwarves of Mythoria, Darwin dug to deep and found the Devil waiting…
There were most likely dinosaurs before the flood that were brought onto the Ark as babies and simply went extinct after the flood. You should go see the Ark Encounter in Kentucky; it explains dinosaurs on the Ark and is a pretty eye opening experience!

Also, Genesis 1 debunks the idea of heliocentrism, a galaxy, a universe, and space; there is only the Earth, the Seas, the firmament comprising the atmosphere we live in with a solid outer surface, and the sun, moon, and stars which the Bible says are IN the firmament. Directly above the firmament is water, and directly above the water is Heaven where God's Throne is. This is why the sky is blue like water in the daytime. This is why stars shimmer like translucent lights either in water or with water above them (Google actual video footage of stars NOT taken by NASA). Nasa ironically is a Hebrew word which means to deceive/beguile/trick as used in Genesis 3:13 when Eve said the serpent tricked her. The Heliocentric Globe Earth Theory, Theory of Evolution, and Big Bang Theories are all satanic in nature and designed to keep us thinking that we are meaningless masses of cells in a never-ending universe and especially keep us from knowing the Truth of Creation and how close our Creator really is to us.

Love this, but the canopy theory has been rejected by almost all creation scientists. It's not possible from a physics standpoint. It really makes you look bad as a teacher to continue teaching this.
All we have in this universe is experiential evidences. Thus “appearance” of the physical is what we have along with the spiritual “appearance” of prompting’s of God. If God said that the cosmos was for us to use for determining time then…THATS WHAT WE HAVE! That’s what we must use.
“In the beginning God CREATED the Universe.” When was that? Certainly not on “day” one. “Beginning” is an indeterminate start.
If a literal scientifically 24 hour “day” (which never actually happens according to our methods of time measurement) is defined as night/day rotation (which is how it is actually defined by Jewish traditions) then the “first day” is wonky! The first “day” is night/day/night = 1.5 days. So what words will we eisogesis into the text instead of exegesis to explain away this discrepancy? I assume the “first day” was special of course since it had to be defined somehow. There was a looooooooong night before light….ok….
According to the rest of scripture, the sole purpose of “day one” was to establish God and His Light and Word-the coronation of Jesus as the Ruler of even this Universe and the conqueror of evil-the darkness. This spiritual Light is what creates life. When God removes the clouded vale of darkness over the Earth He assigns the life giving matter of light over to the sun’s He already created but now exposing. Question: does it take God all “day” long for these things? Is He bounded by OUR 24 hour day? We also notice, that God only “works” for 12 hours per “day”. From the rest of scripture we know that God never stops working and resting. We know He can and does things in an instantaneous “time”. Did God then indeed “rest” on “day” seven? No. He was just done with the initial work that sets the stage for the rest of history…
Obviously Gen 1 is a omniscient way to inform and hide from the devil and us of many things. Pure unique genius! I would expect nothing less. It is not until AFTER Jesus’s Cruxifiction that our 20/20 spiritual insight/hindsight begins…this includes our progressing scientific understandings which brings clearer everyday the evolutionary idea’s already held within the world and church long before the Christian Darwin started the modern version of it. There were most likely dinosaurs before the flood that were brought onto the Ark as babies and simply went extinct after the flood. You should go see the Ark Encounter in Kentucky; it explains dinosaurs on the Ark and is a pretty eye opening experience!
@@SharynMccaskey-s4r “kind” is a broad term and covers many types and species. Most “dinosaur’s” are of the reptilian kind. God chose what species of the “kind’s” went into the ark to be saved. It is entirely plausible that the extinct reptilian’s were not chosen.
