    Only you could have gotten me to really listen to history and genealogies Pastor Guzik. Your realizations brought me to a greater understanding of Jesus and especially Our Father and the Trinity. When you said Jesus's mercy divided the languages to slow down evil, I felt such tremendous
    Love and gratitude, and I felt, yes, that's Jesus alright! I had never really understood why God did that! What a great counselor and Savior we
    have in our Jesus! Your deep love of Him graces us all. I love this ginormous Bible Study. God Bless You and Your family.

    Magog, was said to be a giant. He also shares his name with the Welsh King that crossed the Atlantic, to begin a settlement in Central America... Where today, some villages still speak Welsh, or have etymologically Welsh sounding words.

    I don’t know if you read these comments. Since it’s sometime after the commentary. If Nimrod was the first dictator. Were the people slaves?

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  7 месяцев назад +2

      It's very likely that slavery was practiced under Nimrod, and perhaps even widespread; as an old Jewish Targum (commentary) states he was "a hunter of the sons of men." But we don't find anything to suggest that everyone whom he ruled over was considered a slave, either by function or status.

  • @janeecejjf2001

    Hi Pastor Guzik. I have a question. If Madai, son of Japheth and his families settled in Iraq and Iran, how then did Nimrod, son of Cush, son of Ham end up there? If he founded Babel which is in Babylon and Babylon is an area we now know as Iraq, how did both sons of Japheth and sons of Ham claim that as their regions? And then Abram’s family sons of Shem also ended up there.

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord
      @DavidGuzikEnduringWord  18 дней назад

      Pastor Lance replies - The population was quite small at that point so they would not have crowded each other out. We ought not think that EVERYONE was at Babel. It was certainly a large group of people, but not all. The other sons of Noah spread out to other areas.

    We're all these people descendents from Adam and Eve? How did they just appear in all those countries? It goes from Noah and no one on earth to reading hundreds if people everywhere. I'm so confused. Please explain

    • @DianaLopez-fs9rd
      @DianaLopez-fs9rd 7 месяцев назад

      You'd have to go back to either Genesis chapter 6 or Genesis chapter 7, to have a better understanding 🙏
      These descendants are from Noah's sons. Remember that the Lord told Noah to go into the ark after building it and to take his sons and his sons wives with him into the ark. So repopulation started with them and these descendants are from the sons of Noah.
      Hope it helped some.

      Everyone are descendants of Adam and Eve including you and I. That being said, the only descendants of Adam and Eve that survived the flood were Noah, his wife, their 3 sons and their wives. All of these people are descendants of them. I would start at the beginning of the Bible to understand if I were you. Pastor Guzik has videos on all of the previous chapters as well.

    In verses 16-18, who are they? In 15, the verse talks about Canaan’s offspring but is 16-18 describing just those two offspring or all of the Noah’s lineage? Who is who is basically what I’m asking and how do we know that using the scripture where does it show us who the groups described in 16-18 are?
    Another question: languages. Chapter 10 says that the offspring separated according to their languages and families to their nations.(verse 5)
    In 11, we are told that the entire Earth spoke one language.
    Can someone clarify this?
    I am really trying to understand and really want to. I am just new at reading the scriptures and really want to understand them.

    • @DavidGuzikEnduringWord

      Pastor Lance replies - Gen 10:15-20 are the descendants of Canaan, the son of Ham.
      It makes sense that God would keep families together when He confused the languages.

    good lecture.. but please, just don't attribute to linguists some special powers compared to ordinary readers of Scripture!! The Bible was written for the common man to understand!! linguists can only be a lifeboat to one who does not believe that God physically divided the Earth (not the people) after 200+ years of practicing Nimrod's tyranny right at the time of his contemporary Peleg (the name means to divide, earthquake) and thinks that such nimrodian people would repent and willingly scattered across the world.. cheers!!
