When you're a child, you don't have the life experience to know that the person you're best friends with might be a psychopath. It was first degree murder, for sure. Those awful young women got off easy for their crime! I feel so bad for Missy's family...
As soon as you said her hair was hacked I knew it was probably a girl that did it, that was personal. I can’t believe they got such lenient sentences.
If they were teenage boys instead of girls they'd still be behind bars for sure. the justice system treats women with kids gloves.
exactly what i thought. The only time i've known of men to cut hair is as a trophy and not usually hacked off. Poor Missy.
Maybe because they were minors.
@@VioletJoy It wasn't just because of that.
This is so horrifying. But what's more disgusting is that Karen tried to sell the story years later. Absolutely shameless and abhorrent behavior. Poor Missy.
Remember, if there's a way to make money out of something, somewhere there is someone willing to do it, it's like almost a universal law, can't blame those who need to but I feel absolutely disgusted by those who do it without having any need of doing it
A popular film portrayed Karen as a psychopath, I think it was more about her telling her side, not profit. She was a narcissist with a cocaine addiction, not a psychopath. She was in the family home because of grief. And now the family is saying they heard Karen make death threats and Missy was telling them to plan for her funeral, she was in fear for her life. So, how no leads for 3 years? A neighbor said they knew it was Karen on day 1.
The fact that her killers aren't in prison anymore is a travesty, If they were teenage boys instead of girls they'd still be behind bars for sure. the justice system really treats women with kids gloves.
Eh, I mean u can't say anything without being there...if something horrible happened to or even around me I'd definitely wanna try to capitalize on it somehow. Not everyone can afford to have such high morals
@@jonniemayhemwtaf?? she’s using her death, that SHE was apart of as a way to gain profit from.
Sometimes I get scared that I’ve seen it all on RUclips and then I come across a new channel like this one. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, it's appreciated
Welcome back peaked, hope the move went ok. You have been missed.
I just don’t understand how one can do this to a friend, and over something so trivial as a boyfriend!? Just mind boggling
Have you ever heard of a boyfriend stalking an ex girlfriend, or a husband beating a wife? This was the same thing. Karen was in love with Missy. This wasn't about Karen being worried about loosing Randy to Missy, this was Karen worried about loosing Missy, except it was rage.
@@nickhershey3358 well that's a story you pulled out of your ass. Everything points to a simple case of jealousy, but you're free to make up your little armchair psychology stories.
Always a good day when you upload Lee! Fantastic work as usual!
I heard about this before and they should still be in prison, nasty pieces of work were just jealous. She never deserved that. I hope they didn't make any money from it all.
So good to see you again! Hope everything has been well. Fantastic video as always. I'm glad you have enough support to where you can keep doing this kind of thing. Sorry you keep getting screwed by the demon-etizations.
So glad to see you again however the fire background sound effects our focus and needs tension rather then relaxing with your great narrating skills thank you
I watch these crime shows by the dozens and it never fails. Every time I see that perpetrator is female I automatically know she’s going to get a light sentence and unfortunately I’m almost never wrong. I’m all for equal rights for women but if you have equal rights, you have to take equality in EVERYTHING, not just the stuff you like.
I'm wondering if the prison terms were due to them being minors.
So glad to see this notification!!!! It's always a more intriguing day when it's a Peaked Interest day!!! 🙏🖤✌️
I'm so glad I found your channel! I'm loving the content you've produced so far! ❤
Another fantastic video, thank you.
The quality of your videos is always stunning 🙌
The movie based on this murder is creepy but the book is even creepier! I had to skip pages! That Karen is a real piece of work!
There was a movie about this staring Patty Duke and Tiffany Amber Thiessen. A killer among friends 1992.
Keep up the hard work quality as always
please do more of the fireside, it helps me focus better and helps me relax
Turn down the volume of the fire please, way too loud in this video
Really hoping you do an Alan Jeal episode.
Sadly found on a beach in Cornwall 2014. Fascinating mystery.
The fireside wisdom is needed for this one 🔥 🤔😁
Welcome back
The fact that her killers aren't in prison anymore is a travesty, If they were teenage boys instead of girls they'd still be behind bars for sure. the justice system really treats women with kids gloves.
Parry Duke Austin and Martin Sheen stared in a made for tv movie, Lifetime network I think, based on this crime. It was really a good movie and I think it was called Murder Amongst Friends, maybe 1990s, it's here on RUclips on a couple different channels because I watched it again a few years ago.
Welcome back. Another homerun video
Mean girls really took a rated R approach with this reboot.
the hooting owl adds a nice demension to the campfire atmosphere
They say that the female of the species is deadlier than the male for a very good reason.
Please upload more 🥲
It’s sounds insane how lazy the police were at the beginning of the investigation. The last person to see her alive tells what is a provable lie about the 3 boys and doesn’t automatically become a prime suspect? How freaking easy would it be to call bull shit in her story?
Tad like the Skylar Neese case, where the two were best mates from age of 8 & then in high school a third pal comes along and one of the first best friends are murdered by the other two. This case was very sad to hear that scum who tried to sell the story clearly has no remorse and needs to go back to the clink
Yes welcome back missed oh yeah.
Love your style voice fire burning cosy and straight to the story thanks from Adelaide australia
Would you ever cover the story of Junko Furuta?
I’ve never heard of someone saying the neighborhood, city as where someone is from. Is this normal in the UK or wherever it is you’re from?
Id like to see the crime stats in regards to missing people's because it'd seem that the more connected we are online, the less likely these kinds of things happen. I mean when the Internet just begun it would've made things much worse, i would suppose. But we're came along quite a bit. Something known as the quantum net has started and will be used to tie each of our actual identifies to our online identity which will help in regards to such things, I'd suppose.
Nice video but that background fire crackling is WAY too loud and super distracting..I'm not just saying this out of preference-it's super loud compared to the narration 😮
here✌
Can u do allan bryant jr
When are you comeing back :(
Im a new listener I like the stories but that fire sound seems really loud and distracts the story
You’re fucking fantastic
"As they grew older, as tends to happen in time"... geez, ya don't say? What other pearls of wisdom do you have up your sleeve? 😂😂
😂 lol
Bro where are you? I'm I going to have to make a video on your disappearance?
lol the comment from 2 days ago
So ... Missy's Law doesn't encompass podcasts and RUclips videos?
Aren't you profiting off the story too though? Did you contact the family to check if it was okay?
Just watched this story in a doc, and thought it was quite ridiculous. How does a girl allow 2 friends to kill her. She does not run or fight for her own life. The concept of my teenage friends holding me and then killing me seems so strange to me and out of my realm of understanding.
Hey, stop victim blaming.
Hopefully they DIDN’T make a movie on this.
A film was made in 1992, A Killer Among Friends.
@@nickhershey3358 I’ll make sure not to watch it to respect the wishes of the family.
I partied with missy and karen. They both seemed cool. Back the day. RIP MISSY.
pls correct the spelling in your channel name. it should be piqued not peaked.
I don't remember which video but he explains why he chose to name it as PEAKED rather than Piqued...it's on purpose not a typo basically
moral of the story, don't be a sl*t
I'm afraid I cannot remain subscribed to this channel because the name is just too irritating to look at all the time. I know you say it was chosen on purpose but it drives me mad.
Ok…..
