Unaware? People been talking about this since Martin and Malcolm. What he fails to understand is even with capital, we still have to go through them folks to buy land, real estate etc. and as I realized 20 years ago, they don’t have to sell you that stuff for fear that you will prosper. @Elaina944 I disagree with your statement. We can unify now in spite of the trauma we have endured as a people. We do not need to wait for healing as healing will take place as we continue to make positive contributions and progress toward the goal of increased economic upward mobility. Successful attainment of increased economic activity as a collective will help to heal and eliminate traumas we have faced in the past and also trauma we may face in the future.
You ancestors endured far more trauma you ever had on your worst day. But they still created successful communities with none of the rights and resources we have today. If they were here today they would walk circles around us. They would outperform us in every way.

We do not have any schools. We are attending their schools, which educates in a way to ensure their strength is maintained. This information will have to be taught in our homes.

This is true but I've ran my own company found all of my own customers without a loan and my business failed ultimately due to my negligence I had almost 180 clients for 4 years straight and I'm black as well I tried having other brothers help me but they laughed at me and said they'd rather hit a lick or sell drugs instead of doing honest work for the money . So us coming together is a mindset problem as well I know from experience
We as a people can't give up.
We have to do business with our people who have the same mindset as we do.

Too many of brothers are still lost honestly. You have to find the folks that are serious and productive to work with. It may not be many but there are some out here.
Or they will rob you blind, ideas included. I had an idea that I shared with a black associate. She began writing it down and told me I could be her administrator.
To build on what Professor Smalls said about being "over organized" and all the sororities doing their own thing instead of working together; One of the sororities just opened up a bank and it's going to only be available to women in their sorority and their families. It should at least be available to all the black fraternities and sororities if they truly want to make a difference. And to add to what he said about all the different churches and religions that we participate in, the most divided time in the world is 10AM to 12PM every Sunday. Yet everyone who participates in religion claims to be brothers and sisters in christ, Islam, etc.
The credit union opened by AKA, anyone can join just apply. OMEGA PSI PHI opened one in GA.

All of those other groups. Come here and get loans, pool their money and build. Build and build. We are now starting to build again. Take control of empty properties and build businesses. Not just graduate from college and go to work for them forever. Legacy wealth isn't built that way.

The only thing black men need to do is get and education, build businesses, love and marry black women , have black children prioritize their education and raise them with love. There is no need for these dozens of organizations that do nothing but talk.
The mindset of our people needs an paradigm shift. We must adjust our priorities and view ourselves as a collective striving for commonly held societal goals one of which is to secure our own financial outlets (banks, credit unions, etc…). Owning our own financial institutions will provide access to capital to fund enterprises which in turn create jobs and serve as the basis of a thriving economy.
Dr small has explained reality for our people again.

Redlining is real… But I’ve looked at peoples LLC and a lot of the time their business info is not structured right. They don’t have good consumer business accounts. And they have derogatory’s nd charge off on their personal credit.

💥. Dr Claud Anderson warned us years ago.
This is one of the main goals of racism & whyte fear. This country was built on racism and extracting wealth & resources from ppl of color. That is how whyte America built its wealth. After Reconstruction, they marginalized those that had the skillset to start businesses and by 1900 they developed the system of sharecropping. Sharecropping prevented black ppl from creating an economic floor. In the areas where blacks were building economic bases, they swooped in and destroyed them in the early 1900’s. What they didn’t destroy then they used urban renewal in the 1960’s to destroy many of the remaining businesses.
