What a mechanic and amazing videos you take your time to explain everything and honestly, not like other guys who think they know what they are doing and mess things up....well done Jimmy
The biturbo engine has the dpf underneath and the single is burried behind the engine in the deepest darkest pits of hell 😂 Im glad im not the only one that struggles getting the service interval to reset on these. Also jimmy, may save you some time on the next one, once you done the adaptation for dpf replacement, if you also do the the adaption for "after dpf regeneration" it will reset the calculated soot to zero. Should save you holding revs untill it lowers 👍 Another good vid mate and nice glowplug collection 😅
wow your unbelievable Jimmy I wish i knew you when i had My Ford transit custom, in the end i sold it because nobody knew how to fix it properly even after buying a new DPF.well done mate Love your videos.
I think I might of said this before! But surely Launch could easily update their system so you can set the rev’s to hold at a certain limit why cleaning the DPF? like it does when doing a static Regen.
Hi Jimmy, any idea what is best mid size van to buy old or new as I watch all your contant on utube and I am finding it hard to decide on what van to buy?
Thanks for the video, very very interesting. Oil reset is interesting. A question if you have time, if you change the oil but do not reset the oil service (ie i do mine more frequently, but do not reset it) is it critical or just a counter system to remind everyone!!!! Or are there technical changes in the engine/car computer that take place? Thanks again, just a keen DIYer again, sorry if its a stupid question 😢
I have a mazda 6 2011 diesel 2.2 and my dpf light is flashing but it says there was no faults I have changed the oil and filter and air filter cabin filter and fuel filter and dpf cleaned light still flashing
Hi .sorry I know you must get loads of people asking questions, my problem is my 65 plate traffic is a bit slow starting from cold I've changed the glow plugs and the glow plugs delay and battery and it's still the same it's only done 56k runs perfect no lights or faults on the cash I've had it from new, any idea what else it could be, thanks Regards mike
Hi mate. I had the same problem. The amperage of my battery was too low. I bought a new one with a higher amperage. It now starts much better. Make sure when you turn on the ignition to leave it for about 5 seconds to allow glow plugs to warm up.
Hi there do you work in the Leicester region. I have a trasit custom 2018 that have issues harsh exhaust fumes and smokes random on pulling off on traffic. Notice cold start takes a extra crank to get started in the morning. Any idea what it could be.
Hi what sort of engine symptoms would come with this. I have a brief hesitation in low down rev range approx 1800rpm but once pushed past the van pick up is fine and seems to have full power
Also if u use a test light with a bulb in and put it onto the live on battery and then touch each glowplug. If it lights up the glow plug is working and drawing power. Wont work with the 5 volt glowplugs obviously.
That method doesn't tell you if the glow plug is shorted though as was demonstrated in this video. The old school light method will only highlight if a plug has failed open circuit.
Hi I have a 2017 renault traffic it will start for one mybe two seconds then will cut out if I plug out the airmass sensor it will run fine if I drive it about a mile or so it will be very smokey like a train any suggestions???

Just goes to show how a very good mechanic can work on a van comparing to all the tyre kickers out there (garage's) out there another great vid 👍

THE OFFICIAL NAME of that vehicle is 'RENAULT BROKEN-DOWN IN TRAFFIC' but the badge would be too large for the rear doors.
Thanks Jimmy !
my trafic keeps telling me to change diesel filter, even though its been done twice, I need a star mechanic like yourself to sort it!

Vw transporter pre adblue aren't bad but very expensive.
My choice would be a pre adblue 2.2 transit custom.
Easy to maintain and good to drive
