Another Crab's Treasure is an upcoming soulslike action-adventure video game developed and published by Aggro Crab. The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S on April 25, 2024. Another Crab's Treasure is a soulslike action-adventure video game played from a third-person perspective. The player controls Kril, a crab stripped of his protective shell. Shells function as Kril's armor, granting defensive capabilities, statistics, and even unique abilities. By scouring the seabed, Kril can transform discarded trash into functional tools for survival. A rusty can becomes a defensive powerhouse, while a chipped bottle transforms into a ranged weapon. Combat is deliberate and slow-paced, demanding players to dodge enemy attacks, identify openings, and leverage their shell's abilities to survive. Microplastics, remnants of a polluted world, become Kril's currency for upgrades and resources. Unlike most soul-like games, Another Crab's Treasure allows players to change the difficulty at any time.
The underwater world is a web of interconnected environments. As Kril navigates these treacherous landscapes, he encounters environmental puzzles and gradually unveils the story of the polluted ocean and its history. Similar to the Soulsborne series that inspired it, Another Crab's Treasure offers a challenging experience. Enemies inflict significant damage, death comes with a penalty, and victory hinges on learning enemy patterns and strategizing one's approach. The world itself is designed for exploration, with shortcuts and hidden areas waiting to be discovered. Newfound abilities grant access to previously unreachable locations, encouraging players to revisit areas and delve deeper. Environmental storytelling is emphasized by Aggro Crab, integrating the narrative into the world design, item descriptions, and cryptic messages from fellow inhabitants.

What did you expect from a guy who only likes dad walking sims and plays the gamepass version of this game when he supposedly prefers to pay full price on the other machine.
The upgrade tree doesn't do much. There's some new attack options but they're not all that useful.
@@Blu3ManiC Him playing the gamepass version of the game is completely irrelevant and has no impact on the games difficulty. I get the impression you don't like gamepass or people who use it as an alternative to play games more affordably. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I haven't played it, but it probably depends on experience with the genre. Some people are very good at souls-like games. I have tried souls-like games and couldn't get very far (although I might have if I had kept playing instead of quitting early on). It could also be something else.

For me it was the playable crab walking around with a GUN on it's back. That is badass.
I just started it in handheld... to me its close to unplayable.. was only in there 5min and that was pushing it for me.. dont buy until they patch it is my advice...
I have a ps5 aswell gonna buy it there when I get home and not ruin what seems like a great game according to numerous reviews with 20fps handheld bs...

It's crazy some people are saying this game is super easy compared to actual soulslikes and then some are acting like it's so damn hard lol.

Based on the demo I’d say it’s just about as challenging as other soulslikes. I got beaten up a lot in that game but the stuff is there to make it an easier experience.
He shows a clip of him leveling up, he doesnt level up vitality, then complains enemies hit too hard. Its probably easy if you actually level up your hp lol
Some games are hard until you know what to do ,than when you do know what to do you go around and say it's easy. Lol, and some times its hard until you can level up .than some times you just suck at some games like me. I don't know what any of this is supposed to mean but its just the beginning of the lore.
It's kind of baby's first souls game, which is still significantly harder than an average non-souls combat game

thats my biggest gripes about reviewers. I beat it in 16 hours, and as a souls player for a long time, it was a great game. So i dont think it was a shill review

You were being a big baby, this game is far easier than any of the souls game and the scaling is good, so far the end game is easier than the early game. I dont think that the game being too difficult is a very good point to bring up because it is a well balanced game and it also has an easy mode that is hilarious and enjoyable.

You talk about how brutal the game is but that you went for a straight attack, low defense build.... maybe it's worth looking at the problem from a new perspective.
How to make another crabs trasure easy af, buy imposter shell with shell insurance (it blocks 45 percent of damage), level only vit and atk with maybe 8 total res and no msg as your skill trees give it to you, use the leveled up mantis punch as it is uninterruptable 90 percent of the time and will stagger enemies while dealing high damage, use your grapples, and upgrade your fork. The game is just as if not slightly easier than elden ring if you know what youre doing aside from the final boss which honesty screw firth.
Buy the parry!!! it will make life so much easier

Assist mode I put on better roll dodge and it's perfect for how I like to play, cause it's not op. It's slightly more forgiving and the games still a challenge

No I 100% agree, what’s the point if a trophy if you can just cheat for it. Seriously, a trophy is for winners. It’s like those people that used the invincibility hack in Hollowknight to get the platinum, pissed me off, cus me and many others actually did the practice to obtain the platinum legitimately. Anyway, I feel yah lol.

I’m torn on difficulty options , I never used to mind them until I got into souls games and now I hate seeing difficulty options because it’s either too easy even on hard or vice versa , I feel like once they add options to change difficulty they lose that special balance like sekiro blood borne dark souls elden ring hollow knight. Now I,amine those games with an easy option it wouldn’t feel right

you literally can give yourself more s, wider parry window , less enemy health and stronger shells. Thats literally all the best difficulty options you could ever ask for. Its arguably better than even Fallen Order which also gave similair features with longer/shorter reflect windows.
They just dont have a slider that says "easy" and "hard". But apparently they needed one for you because you failed at even comprehending that. Cant say that bodes well for your ability to do basically anything in life.
