Permanent low objects in the house, you can set up "keep out" zones in the map to avoid them. Astro doesn't need access to every inch of floor as A vacuum does
Do you know of a way to stop Astro from randomly leaving the dock? Also is there a way to turn off all of the constant noises from the Robot? They were cute for the first week....but not now haha. Thank you.
@@CyberMedics Is that leaving the dock to hang out? If yes, then yes. On Astro settings, device options turn off hang out, or gotto night settings & adj. the hours he is to stay on charger. As far as the sounds, the easiest way would just be setting the vol. lower, but you could turn on "do not disturb" Alternativly you can goto sounds under his settings & turn off "Astro is near by". If you use any of this on your channel, I'd like A shout out for it.

You are right something weird going on with comments. Even some of my replies didn't show. I saw the "Do not disturb", but did not see "Astro is nearby" or "Hang Out" under Astro device settings. We want to do a follow on video, show all of these things. Also, can Astro execute existing Alexa routines? Have not found a way to integrate the functionality of my exiting smart speakers with Astro. Will give you a shout out on the new video. Thanks for your help!
@@CyberMedics Are you looking at the settings on Astro's screen? From the Astro device. settings, sounds, scroll down to Astro is near. Hang out, Again, astro device setting, device options, scroll down to hang out. Routines, just modify the routines at the bottom of routine to "from" & chose astro as opposed to the device you speek to. in the alexa app you can group astro's speaker with your other echo's. I know it's weird needing to use astro device menu, astro app settings, alexa app settings, all for 1 device. but it is as they say, what it is. Also, can Astro execute existing Alexa routines? What do you mean by that? of course it can.
@GumbyPW I have routines recorded on my Alexa app for example to turn on and off specific lights. Don't know how to get Astro to execute these routines via voice. I thought it would be as simple as just giving the command., Astro and then speaking the routine, but that did not work.
@@CyberMedics That's really weird. Do you show Astro along with your other echo devices in your Alexa app. under devices? Thinking maybe their on diff. networks or something like that. It should work exactly like any other echo show
Think I've found my resident Astro expert...lol Thanks for all the feedback. What did you think of the smart water shut off? That is one of the best smart home things we did. Yolink is super reliable & cheap compared to Moen or Phyn.
Learned something new on the camera about adjusting!
Glad it helped. We are new to Astro. Do you have any insights on thing you find useful or not intuitive? Thanks for commenting & subscribing!

Good to know. I'll have to try that.

In the Astro app. settings. Goto "live view" & select "invert swipe to turn" makes it much more intuitive for driving Astro
