Mounting cameras near the roof will mostly capture the tops of people's heads. We aim to mount them as close to 12 feet high as possible. This height allows for the best facial recognition, keeps the cameras out of reach from tampering, and ensures they are still easy to service.
Yes. I agree. They are amateurs
So true, thanks for the comment but in this instance the client was more interested in full street view to get cars, sometimes we have to please the paying customer, thanks for watching,we appreciate it.
very good video explaining your installations. Thank you. From Bishop Security (T&T)
Thank you David, we appreciate you time & comment, please keep watching, keep liking & share, we promise more cool ones to come
The Knowledgeable Installer! Great information for sure!!!
Thank you Laura, Appreciate you stopping by & comment, the world needs more beautiful people like you.
Such an entertaining video, with a great story to go along with it. I love the fact that you guys are up front about how you do your work and why you got called back. Love it.
Thank you Ryan, We appreciate you taking the time to watch it & comment, Please feel free to follow & watch for more, we promise to keep it fun, cool & entertaining.
Awesome video, the only thing I might add to this system is a UPS SYSTEM to the Recorder/DvR, just in case his house gets burglarized and the thief’s get froggy and shuts off the power. Plus have a camera inside the House as well , that’s the way I set up my system, I have redundancy.
amazing idea & so true, will offer to client your idea, thanks for watching, thank you for the comment.
hiding and locking the NVR is a neat idea.
thanks for the comment thanks for watching, feel free to share, thank you.
I've thought of it myself since the attic isn't an easily accessible space most invaders would think to look and you can always access things via networking these days but what's the point of the lockbox if you leave the power plug exposed? How does it do with the summertime heat in the attic? Maybe this isn't a problem for this particular house since it looks like they had HVAC in the attic. 🤔
No way dude, everything i have seen from the community and other influencers, say no to subscription service. They can yank their integration or hike up the price and nothing you can do.
I would say maybe client should consider the NVR to have network backup to either a OneDrive or cloud storage as a last resort.
The lockbox is good idea because it slows them down but maybe enticed intruders to light the box on fire. Which is a different problem.
I like this video, insightful stuff about moving the internet box and siding.
I think itd be good if these cameras had redundancy like SD card plus NVR.
we know how you feel, thanks for watching, thanks for the comment
Mmm hmm. Racketeering is pretty common in tech industry.
i do what u guys do but im struggling on pricing
@chriscooper21914 good to hear from another tradesman, unsure what your scenario is but sometimes the job becomes more expensive to a customer especially if the labor is more than the equipment, for instance let's say they bought it at Costco or Amazon 8 camera system with NVR all in one box for $399 or $499 but to install 8 cameras is like $600 to $900 therefore they will say no, sometimes your pricing is not the issue but the customer is, can't win them all
Sorry for saying this but sometimes when they say "don't judge a book by their cover" but sometimes we do by how much they want to spend, how they live & their neighborhood.
what do u guys charge per camera on a job?
@chriscooper21914 Hey there, thanks for watching our video & thanks for the comment
There are 2 ways to charge for a job, either per hour or per size of job. We have been charging for size. Normally, we charge between $125 to $175 per camera, then another $125 for NVR set up & programing. In certain jobs we charge $95 per camera if site already wired. Those numbers we have compared to competitors & geek squad
@@edriv72 thank for the response i use ubiquiti cameras they cost a little more what do u guys add to camera cost for ur install im just trying to figure things out thank u for the help
@@edriv72 $125 a camera is that just labor or does that include camera?
What part of Florida you guys operate from
Hello, Thanks for watching & Thank you for your comment, we normally operate in Northeast NJ & Central Florida
Nice video , I have been searching for good brands to install at my home ( diy) . The items you posted are only for partners to buy . What are your thoughts on Reolink nvr systems ?
Thank you for stopping by, & yes some of the items we work with are for direct dealers, I did check the NVR you asked about, very low price for the claimed features, Never worked with so I can not really comment on the quality of it, give it a shot & let me know how it turns out
Nice clean surveillance system installation video. I would not recommend placing system components in an attic that can reach 140 degrees+ in the summer. Heat and dust will cause erratic behavior and shorten the life of the electronics. I also agree with people commenting on the height of the cameras being too high. Not a fan of Luma Surveillance Systems due to high price and poor phone app. I prefer Reolink NVR along with (6) POE CX410 cameras which I installed in my home. IMO, best system for the money and the phone app works perfectly. Reolink has no subscription fees and the AI is amazing.
Nice comment, you are correct on that, we do take that into consideration, in this house the insulation was actually between the roof joist right against the roofing sheeding so it was quote cool inthere ergo why we went ahead & did that, thanks for watching, we appreciate that.
Those houses seem to be just several feet apart! My nearest neighbor is about 300 feet away.
Yeah, there are communities like these all over urban areas, thanks fo watching & thank you for your comment
Do you know why the Luma 820 doesn't have starlight or color night mode? I want to buy them but dont really want black and white footage. If I have landscape and soffit light and basically force the camera in day mode and night mode would that work for me to get color at night?
No the 820 does not have the Starlight & does not have the Color at night feature by itself, if you are gonna have the area lighted up then you will see color in 8MP quality, however the 420 models do have the starlight features & The 520 have color at night feature, please note that the color feature means that the cameras have a built in light that turns on at night & not with motion
Thank you very much for the reply! So basically if the area is well lit then that camera can be forced to stay in “Day Mode”
@@zainilkadiwal5532 Correct, you can also go into the camera settings & set the day mode on all the time
About how much does an installation service like this cost?
bro are you armwrestler ?
No, ha ha 😆 🤣 😄, thanks for watching & Thanks for the comment, stay tuned for more
Thank you for down talking Ring! Sheesh everyone putting these in and then complaining about their WiFi. Maybe don’t run a bunch of cameras on WiFi?!! Hardwired is best for quality reliability AND it won’t crowd your WiFi network!
Hey there Thanks for watching & Thanks for the comment, I hear you loud & clear brother. Sometimes & Some customers have to go thru the motion when they see popular over the counter cheap equipment. The human mind works that way sometimes, if you try to divert them from what they already want then they are gonna think you are trying to be a car salesmen, Install it, get paid on it, then walk away & let them hate it on their own & call you back for the good stuff. By the way, we dont sell any Ring, Nest or nay over counter devices, we let them buy it on their own, hire us to install it & we make it very clear that any questions on how it works or any tech support, they have to talk to whomever they bought it from.
Last person I’d trust to put in a security system they look like they would come back and steal all ya stuff
Whoa!!! Thanks for watching, Thanks for the comment.
Your racism is showing
@@mrRoverkane Thanks for watching,Thank for stopping by & super awesome thanks for your comment
Nice video! I know you're focused on camera systems, but the customers should also consider low tech options to make it harder for break-ins like doorframe reinforcement, security window film and such. It's about slowing the criminal down and being able to respond accordingly, whether you're home or not.
thanks for the comment & thanks for watching, you have amazing ideas & good points, we will share your suggestion to client
I own the video with Eufy camera. Easy to install.
Reolink is the same. It's a shame these companies required subscriptions to have access to your own video.
@@danboricua4 not eufy
Same here Love my eufy cameras with the homebase no subscription 😂
Eufy is no subscription
This home is screaming for a POE doorbell cam
@user-wc5lw7ps6h1 Hey there, Thanks for watching & your comment. You're absolutely correct. The client will allow us to come back to add at another day once the Luma x20 system comes out with one, if any. We could add any Poe DBEll with onvif technology, but that would act at another app outside of the AI in the Luma system. Client not interested in any other easy over the counter doorbell, likes the simplicity of the Luma x20 system, I know we could do IC Realtime dinger with the ONVIF on it but then he will be dealing with notifications from different app then sign up for cloud service or simply use the ONVIF on the NVR & pull the video but doesn't want to mix & match
