    Lekki is not really a wealthy people s area- more like upper middle class. Ikoyi, Banana Island some parts of Victoria Island are where the big money people reside on Lagos Island

    Lekki is really more like the Upper Middle Income area of Lagos; Banana Island, Ikoyi, and V.I to some extent are where the rich really lives.

      It's not as bad as portrayed in western media. I live in Lagos and its way safer than a lot of big cities in the world including New York. No one will randomly shoot, stab you or rob you on the streets of Lagos or any other city in Nigeria.
      Media propaganda has painted a very bad image of the country and Africa generally and they need to stop

      Check other rich countries, eg Libya, Dubai, Doha, etc, their population is like 5 million people.
      Nigeria is 230 million people. Stop calling us oil rich country. The oil money doesn't even cater for half of our population.
      Oil rich nations are those with small population and larger oil reserves than Nigeria. Eg, Saudi, Iran, Russia, Angola etc.
      Regardless oil being our biggest foreign exchange avenue, we are not rich oil nation.
