Chicago has the most expansively beautiful downtown in all of America.
Chicago got new york beat for it's beauty and over-all aesthetics and design. I'm not even from Chicago. You don't see people in boats going down the dirty river in New York. Amazing.

@@blakemcnamara9105 ur not gonna get any of that in downtown. every state/city has a hood/bad area and the parts with high crime are places nobody is visiting. nobody comes to chicago for englewood and nobody goes into englewood unless they live there or they’re a police officer.

I miss the summer events art,music and food every year. I remember walking near by and you can hear music playing always either the symphony playing in the park or street performer near by.
Hopefully this COVID ends so we can hear some noise I miss the loud ass Cars and music tbh
i remember the go gos free concert in the summer of1984 at taste of Chicago, what a great era also the moonies were there giving out green slime

@@hindusher4096 Manhattan is smaller than Chicago . Chicago is not stuck on an island like Manhattan. Chicago downtown and the whole city has more space including beaches by our downtown. Manhattan is too bunched up and not spread out like Chicago .The cars in Manhattan can only exit that borough thru only a few bridges , Chicago doesn't have that problem.

Been in Chicago 22 years love every minute of it. Please put the media away and phones down don’t believe everything on there. There’s violence everywhere in the world if you think about it it’s sad my city is only looked at for the negatives. Keeping to yourself in this beautiful city in the right places you could never go wrong . Hope everyone who’s ever visited enjoyed themselves and to those thinking about coming, stop hesitating!! @@BoomTribeEntertainmentI don’t think you realize it’s not dangerous until you make it dangerous. Homeless problem isnt any worse than New York either 3,000 in Chicago compared to 68,000 in New York but NYC is only 32% bigger.
It's sad seeing how few people are walking around. Chicago usually has far more people than this video shows. I hope this pandemic blows over in 2021

chicago is where i live and i love it exept in winter it is really cold and the lake is really cold exept this summer the water was awsome, so to anyone who comes here have a bunch of fun

The sound of the El train takes me back, and I loved seeing the street lamps. Just a little things like that are so enjoyable. :-) A beautiful clear day for this walk. I like how you’re just taking in the view not saying anything yet.

I grew up in Chicago suburbs. Always loved the city. Worked in the Wrigley building for 5 years for ad agencies. Loved it! Left for Colorado in 1988, transferred with Kodak. I went back many years to visit & always loved it! I still miss Chicago.

I was just telling a buddy of mine about the time I spent downtown Chicago during a 24hr layover while traveling and it reminded me of some Ninja Turtle movie scenes, only I saw master splinters running the streets but no turtles.... 😆
I thought it was beautiful to walk down Michigan Ave and spend time along the lake. Then, it was time to get going along my itinerary.

Thanks for the memory inducer. I grew up in LaSalle County and visited Chicago frequently as a child. I've since married and moved to another state, and I like watching videos like this.

A beautiful and healthy city because there are not too many motorized vehicles but on the contrary there are many green areas, trees grow in the middle of the city which can minimize the level of air pollution ... 👍❤

I think a lot of people sleep on Chicago. For my money, it’s the nicest looking big city in the continental US (Honolulu takes the prize, subtracting the homeless encampments). It’s easy to get around, lovely architecture, great food, nice people. Yes, there’s crime in the bad neighborhoods, but you can say that of any major city. Stay outta the south side and don’t wander around aimlessly and you’re gonna be fine.

i lived in chicago for 25 years and the things i have seen on the 10.00 news with bill curtiss and walter Jacobson still give me nightmares, yuppies being attacked in the downtown area etc. that violence never leaves your head
