I lived in New York City for 13 years and I was just In New York yesterday. I can't believe how much cleaner and better-maintained Chicago appears to be than New York. I'll have to visit Chicago soon. I've only been there once, and it was a long time ago.

I love Chicago. Have visited numerous times. My best experience was taking my young teenage kids and exploring the city. My favorite is taking a river boat tour and seeing the city from the river. WOW!

Love downtown Chicago and I'm not even a fan of skyscrapers or huge buildings but Chicago has something special to it. It has a grand feel that not many other downtowns have. Maybe New York or Tokyo compare.

I was in Chicago for my residency for my doctorate at Argosy University in 2009 and 2011 and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel right across the street from Millieum Park. I walked the Magnificent Mile and I walked all over downtown because Chicago is a very walkable city even though the skyline looks so big. Do you know in the hotels, they have a special local channel dedicated to food cuisine for all the restaurants in Chicago where all they think about is creating good tasty dishes in Chicago? Perhaps, that is why the food is so good in Chicago 😃.
I also had the opportunity to be in Chicago for educational purposes, as I attended Universty of Chicago. Since then, my heart has been captivated by the city’s enchanting beauty, the divine array of foods, and the warmth of its people. These extraordinary aspects of Chicago ignited the inspiration within me to embark on the journey of starting this channel, allowing me to share the magnificent experiences this city offers with everyone

Wow I’m impressed. From google earth it doesn’t seem like much but wow Chicago has really changed from the 90s. The streets look beautiful and the city has done a great job with rehabilitating old buildings and also the costs are still low. Now I just hope they do the same for their public transit. Recently they also managed to keep the population steady and more people are moving into the city high is always a good sign. Come on NYC you can learn a thing or two from Chicago,

this city is very European in the style of architecture and the urban planning, is super nice. i think an European person would understand what i mean. i felt like i was in Bucharest and then paris and then a bit of Barcelona and a bit of all the other big European cities.

In Europe, all the streets and avenues have café/ restaurant terraces and it changes everything to see other people have a conversation, eat, drink, laugh, have a life. Here people are just walking. Going places. Inside. Like hidden from everyone else.
American cities often have a different urban culture, focusing more on indoor activities and private spaces. However, there are areas within cities that offer vibrant street life, with efforts ongoing to enhance public spaces and outdoor interactions.
