Great video! The City of Chicago should officially show their appreciation to you. Those streets were not what I was expecting. I've walked most of the major metropolitan areas in the world and our country, but never made it to Chicago. Seemed to have an unsafe reputation. What a beautiful city. Filmed in April, looks coolish and sounds windy and the people walking the streets all appear calm, secure, safe, and confident. And everything is so clean. There are so many great things to see in all the cities of the world. Thanks for the walking tour. Next best thing to being there. Very beautiful city!
the reputation is false. driven by the media's unfair hated for our city. Chicago is actually safer than most of major midwest cities. i live here all my life and never had a problem
You haven't seen the bad parts of Chicago it is just like any other big city. I have never been but saw it in videos. I'm going to make it there some day. I live way down south of Chicago but in the same state I live in metropolis Illinois. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to drive in Chicago I would have to drive near the big city then park some where and get a ride into the city then take buses or the train around and see the different sights.

El (elevated) trains have been a fixture in Chicago and New York (Bronx, Brooklyn & Queens) for over 100 years. I rode them for years with very, very few incidents.
