    You got another view from me because I thought this was a video from Cannibal Corpse's bassist (Alex Webster), but I'm not mad! Fantastic playing!

    Superb! Always get pumped up when I get notified of a new playthrough. I totally vote for playthrough of Spiral Architect's "Excessit" or "Cloud Constructor".

    you and Jeroen are the only two people in history to successfully play the first bar of this song. Wish you could've played Vancouver this year.

    jesus dude, killer technique, i was holding my bass while i watched and saw your form for double thumb(p)ing? and tried the way you support your thumb with your extra fingers and nailed it! been trying for 8 years to understand exactly how to do it but i guess it takes the right application. thank you.

    Amazing Cover! Another proof that you are the perfect live replacement for Jeroen. Do you use any effects or is it just the fretless?

    • @AlexWeberBass

      Thanks! I’m also using a chorus, very lightly, in my signal chain

    What's that plucking technique called? Using thumb and fingers all together..

    • @AlexWeberBass
      @AlexWeberBass  2 года назад +2

      I haven't really given it a name yet. It's sort of a combination of a lot of other player's techniques that I've put together in my own sort of way

  • @rcjd7834
    @rcjd7834 2 года назад +1

    Dang that right hand technique is sick. Amazing tone too, who made that bass? It looks awesome, and I'd love a fretless 6 someday. I'm normally a 6 player and just got my first fretless a week ago (5 string jazz), already looking for another lol.

    • @drunkcat17

      Just in case he never answers, as far as I know, he made it himself

    Not the exact way it was played, but this sounds awesome. Such a cool interpretation. 🤘🏾

    • @AlexWeberBass
      @AlexWeberBass  Год назад +2

      Actually, save from the use of double thumping, this is almost exactly what Jeroen played melodically. I transcribed this directly from his isolated stems and I didn’t change anything in this like I did with some of my other videos. Most of the tabs I had previously found were wrong and had the bass playing things that the guitars were actually doing
