  • For those of you who were at the Obscura concert in Baltimore a few months ago, you might've noticed something attached to my headstock when we came out and played the encore... After we got settled into the flow of the tour, I thought it would be a cool idea to film a live playthrough video, especially since we had a killer videographer with a bunch of cameras, a sick light show AND an even sicker venue to boot.
Septuagint, I thought, was also a great tune to pick for this because of how dramatic and dynamic it is and because of how much of a lead role the bass plays in it. Besides all that, it was one that I just really looked forward to playing every night since it's so much fun to play. Super stoked with how this turned out! There are obviously no do-overs live so I only had one shot hahah...
Mixed and Mastered by Kenny Eaton at Mystery Ton Studios
    Filmed by Vincent Grundke

Please Obscura BE MORE MUSICAL. YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO BE A EPIC BAND! TAME YOUR EGO!
Saw them live and honestly i almost fell asleep. Great technic, Great tones and their album mixes are perfect. I love the clean parts , the bass lines and the alien clean vocals but overall, the music gets boring by the end of the 3rd song. Over the years i come back to Obscura to listen 2 or 3 songs and then im done for some months.
Bands like Atheist, Cynic, Necrophagist, Car Bomb,Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad,Cannibal Corpse, Animals as Leaders, Suffocation,Coroner.. never get boring because i feel they put they musicality first. Speed and technic come along naturally. You finish to listen a song from these last bands i mention and you immediately sing some part. It prints in your brain.
Just my opinion, go ahead nail me to the cross.

You should give the songs the respect they need.. The writers worked hard to create that exact bassline and u butchered songs like akroasis and the anticosmic overload.. You're not mimicking the feelings of the original writers which just shows how narcissist you are👎.. Steffan has the right to be that narcissist.. But u don't.. Until you write your own hit.
