As a cop, I remember seeing that show and thinking "my department will never be on it in a million years." Sure enough next season we were on it, and I ended up getting a five minute clip of me aired, breaking a dudes window at the railroad tracks when he passed out behind the wheel. 🤣 I must say the camera crew that rode with me was really really friendly, it seemed like they really cared and enjoyed what they were doing. They also bought me lunch which was paid for by the production, which went a long way with me. Really hope it comes back one day. No pressure when a camera crew is riding with you on calls! 🤣
Haha i know exactly what part you are talking about, awesome! Seriously, i loved this show and had to really put in some effort to watch it here from The Netherlands, but loved every minute of it. Nice to hear some "inside" information!
As a cop, how many lives have you ruined by arresting people for possessing a PLANT?!? How much money have you cost the taxpayer in overtime, court costs, pubic defender fees (every time you needlessly arrested someone for marijuana you cost the American people thousands of dollars which paid for a prosecuting attorney and most of the time a pubic defender! You got a lot of lawyers paid at the expense of many many good Americans) S H A M E O N Y O U !

I’m a car guy and at our car meets in Charlotte, we have a rent a cop that we bring just to keep it safe and tame, who used to work one of those SC departments on live PD all the time and he’d tell us stories about the crew and filming. Both he, and based on what he said, the crew, seemed like top notch guys
Loved the show. A disgraceful move by A&E, whose ratings plunge is a textbook example of suicide by woke.
It's the same issue of the people who have nothing to do with the show or channel are the ones they crumple to and the actual followers just get pissed

It really was great to be able to chat with some of the officers, and deputies, who were also watching the show.
Eh... I'm gonna say, the *idea* of LivePD was spectacular. Put COPS to absolute shame. The execution of the show, though? Nah. Granted - I'm the person who will go out of their way to avoid absolutely *everything* which could involve even 2 seconds of advertising, it's not a show I'd watch on "standard television." Discounting that, spending 45 seconds watching footage from one city, then jumping to 50 seconds in another city, then maybe.. maybe jumping back to the original, or to a third, fourth... That made the show basically unwatchable for me.
I get it. It's supposed to be "live," and not all action happens in the moment, so maybe that's just the rub to the format which doesn't really ring my bell.
Live PD was the ONLY show I watched on “regular” television!!! So bummed and pissed that it got cancelled. I’m over this cancel culture. Grow some balls and deal with real life crap and move on!!!

It was canceled because they deleted evidence in the death of Javier Ambler to help the cops. Look it up. If police can't delete their film to cover for themselves, they will no longer film with them
@@alexcastro9424 it was more or so the departments fault, the network also didn't want anything getting leaked to the public before the investigation was over. Things don't just instantly happen is the judicial system. The show was a complete separate intity to what had happened. Don't get shit twisted homie. Last thing the public needs is more false info from wiki leakers like you.

It's sad how we cant have a show as simple as cops doing their jobs on the air anymore do to the political climate
It makes no sense. We can’t have a Live cop show. But we can still have shows that show live EMS (Live Rescue) and Live court proceedings (court cam) and even live homicide investigations (The first 48). WHICJ ALL AIRED ON A&E like Live PD But nope. No cops allowed.
And the only “cop shows” we can have are the fictionalized ones that “fit the narrative”
(Chicago PD, 911, etc.)

Live PD was one of my absolute favorite shows and the cancellation really annoyed me. It was good to see what cops go through as it is happening and I really enjoyed seeing the different officers and their typical days. Nice hearing the story from Sticks
Retired LEO…..happy to see Sticks and hear the Live PDs ending story. Keep up the good work. As an aside, I have not watched A&E or any related network since the cancellation, which I thought would be a Herculean task….it wasn’t

Thank you, Chris for your service, dedication and bravery. It's unconscionable that LEOs are right now the most hated (perhaps Proctologists too) by the limp, week sheep who are being led to communism. I'm a retired helicopter flight RN (retired by injury) and previously an ER RN at the County Hospital in Phoenix. I've known many LEOs and dated a couple 😊 😁. LEOs should be the most supported not defunded! Not the support going to the spoiled brats who sit in their chase loungers watching TV and napping, Phoenix anyway. I digress.
Just wanted to say a sincere thanks, Chris. Glad to see you're out of the absolute bullshit occurring now.

@@lakotafire2804 I had to retire because of job related injuries. I I missed it for a very long time, even with the night terrors. Now I’m happy to be gone, mad at where the job has gone, and sad for the men and women left to pick up the pieces. I worked in a small NYS city(100,000 at night, 300,000 by day prepandemic) which had its urban crime issues but now looks nothing like the city I grew up in. We are at 18 homicides for the year, gangs running the streets, an administration that caters to every social justice whim and/or fad and a court system that does nothing but catch and release. It’s a sad state of affairs, that’s for sure
On a side note, cops and nurses really work well together…..I’ve been with my ICU nurse since 1994….it’s the stress levels I think.
So thank you for doing the lords work and enjoy your dry heat….I’ll try not to freeze

Because of what A&E did to this show, I have not watched their channel since. About 6 months later, I got rid of cable. Basically, LivePD was the only show I watched regularly, so there was no reason for me to give them any of my money.
I loved this show. I hope it comes back.
We could definitely use live PD again
We was workin at this adult jail, and this new guy started and just that day. We go back into Seg because this guy who self medicates his schitz with meth and heroin was losing his mind. We're talking him down, getting him ready for some chair time, and he hits the call button. Control opens the cell door. He busts out, one guy grabs his head and is fighting him, the new guy grabs his legs and just slams him. After it was over and no one was injured I asked, how did you know to do that? He looks up and says, aho, I watch a lot of COPS!
I loved Live PD because I got to see my own local Police at work, it made me feel connected to home when I left for college as well. Fantastic Show all around
One of THE BEST shows to ever air on tv and I have not watched a&e since they pulled it. It was a terrible decision...
Well the police won't allow them to film if they aren't allowed to delete videos they don't like. Look up how live pd helped cover up the in custody death of Javier Ambler
If anything, I think the show actually showed the true compassion and truly represented how police in America operate. I'm guessing that it was cancelled because the truth doesn't line up with what the media and everyone else wants people to believe. I loved this show and watched it every weekend.

LivePD taught me more about the heart that law enforcement officers have for their communities and more about the day to day challenges faced by people of color than I ever learned from my sociology degree. For Stix and everyone in law enforcement, thanks for the time you give; you make a difference; you are not treated as well as you ought to be. Communities of color, thank you for not giving up, keep fighting, keeping challenging America to be as good as the Caucasian element claims it is; without your culture and fire America is old, white, and boring.

This show was great because the live aspect made you feel as if you were actually doing something on a friday or saturday night even if you were just being a hermit in your pj's.
If anything, we need LIVE PD back because of the shift in our society!!!

The OG returned COPS is now on fox, always enjoyed cops over live Pd but respected live Pd overall as both shows were still enjoyable.
As someone who dealt with Tulsa PD I was proud to deal with those like Sean daily when I did Security at one of our hospitals in Tulsa. I’m am now retired thankfully from everything.

My granddaughter and I watched it every Friday night….she actually brought it up just a couple days ago…we still miss it !
That is interesting. I didn’t think about it like that before, but other than young children, it was something all generations could get into and all be interested in together. There aren’t that many shows like that when you think about it. My son and I used to watch it together too.

I loved the show. My wife and I tried to watch it every weekend. If we were busy we recorded it and watched it later.
It's too bad! I always watched that show with Mamma Fridays and Saturdays! I was there, along with the life support machine I have to breathe. I brought in the machine on it's cart. And sadly because of George Flody, this show was taken off the air. You guys had a great show going.

I never watched A&E until LIVE PD showed up, and I watched LIVE PD FAITHFULLY!! I haven't watched A&E ever since the show was canceled. And believe it or not but I am a former convicted felon from 1997, and I am no fan of cops, but I started understanding and respecting cops because of this show. BRING LIVE PD BACK ON RUclips!!! COME ONE!!!!!

I was hooked on this show. It was so disappointing and sad when suddenly it was gone.
I believe it was indeed to avoid lawsuits for the production’s hand in civil rights violations. I know for a fact of a municipal dispatch service that Re-prioritized active calls when it was made aware the live pd crew was near calls. This escalated responses, detracted resources, and increased civil rights violations.
Personally, I think instead of a TV show, it should be a web show, with multiple feeds, where you decide what to watch or have it done in the style of the broadcast forms, personally.
The editing Irked the hell out of me, and is really a problem.
One thing they should definitely do is showcase other countries, start with Canada as it's basically the same, then the UK, Australia, etc.
One man who’s life added up to nothing , is hailed as a martyr because he fought with police, and died as a result. Everyone runs scared, and refuses to put the blame on George Flyod. A cop made a mistake, and he’s paying for it. But to say that police brutality is rampant is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Don’t run from the police, don’t fight with the police or pull knives on them, and most importantly…. Don’t pull a gun or shoot at the police.
Simple rules to live by….once you do, everything that goes on next is your responsibility, not the police!
There seems to be a segment of society that sides with the criminal, as if crime doesn’t exist. Put on a badge, and walk in their shoes before you canonize George Flyod….he made the wrong decision! And it’s on him.

A&E lost my viewership because of this. Absolutely loved this show. My dad is a retired officer and he watched it to. Goes to show you that networks don't care

in the early 90s was an Army MP and I was always shocked that any department would even consider letting anyone film them on patrol... and that was COPS which was edited. But I did not know if the department had any editorial say in what aired. Then came LIVE PD? Oh hell NO! Stuff happens on the street. Keeping in mind that if something happens the cop has a faction of a second to make a decision... then an army or anti-cop lawyers can go frame by frame to find the ONE thing you did wrong...

Not the same, but Sheriff Bob Fletcher, in St Paul Minnesota does "Live on Patrol" on both Facebook and RUclips on Friday nights at 9:11PM. Doing his best to bring transparency to law enforcement.
Great Show
I was already ticked at A&E for canceling “Longmire,” a few years earlier. Live PD brought me back and I loved it. Then, like cowards to public whim, they cancelled every cop show over Floyd thing; the whole backlash against law enforcement was created and targeted by BLM, a Marxist organization that hates cops. But it was the cowards at the too if the network who showed yellow and backhanded the LEOs they pretended to support. I think we are seeing now how stupid the defund the police movement was. I will support Live PD and PDCam if they are resurrected anywhere, but I will never trust A&E again. It was cowardly the way they reacted.
This was my favorite show
Used to travel for work. It being lived allowed me and my fiancee to easily tune in together.. A few times I was in the city where they would be filming lol.

Love how Live PD and Cops was cancelled but Real PD is still around ( totally different types of shows though)
What the HMFIC's failed to realize (and still do) is that most of their shows fan base are not part of the 'woke' crowd. We loved the show, and having it taken off like it was, insinuated that we were to ignorant to choose what we watch. They made that choice for us. Now the TV is silent most of the time. When we do watch it, generally it's reruns of shows that are long since gone on DVR.
We miss Live PD!
One of the craziest episodes was when two Tulsa officers in the Gang Unit tried to arrest a man that had a gun while he was trying to pull the gun. It was insane. My adrenaline was pumping just watching.
COPS is back on. Isn’t Live PD is considering it? That’s what Abrams said in an article I read or maybe it was on here. I miss Sticks man. He is so cool.

I was a cop in SoCal for about 20 years. Enjoyed the show very much. Lots of great examples of absolutely the worst tactics possible performed by law enforcement in the South. Other good examples of treating people poorly by OK troopers and others were available for training purposes. Of course, there were other agencies on the program which provided examples of competent and professional law enforcement. Wish it was still on the air.
