love the MTB content. I just picked up a 2022 Specialized Stumpjumper today. dual shock alloy. It's a dream bike for me. cant wait to take it on trails. never had a bike with a drop post or lockouts on shocks. the breaks already wanna hurt me lol... thanks for the videos.
I blame the Sur Ron's backwards brake levers for that crash. I have the hardest time going back and forth between my bikes and the Sur Ron remembering which side is which.

@@cole-h3s Yes, you could reverse any of them but in this case it is best to just try and remember which setup you are on even though sometimes that is easier said than done.

I'm a pretty big mountain biker myself and would love to join you but I live way far away, way to take a crash btw. Your brakes def shouldn't be that loose, I'd recommend a multi tool that attaches or hides in your frame/fork, for your shifting I hear you complaining about it but its just something you gotta get used to... unlessss you have a unlimited budget and wanna put the new sram transmission on your bike which shifts even better under load, I would def recommend checking it out for yourself. Btw lovin these videos.

No disrespect but honestly saw that one coming. Unlocked forks for a change... short steep set with a landing. Bit distracted from your chosen route out... Been there done that! Bummer on the stucco rash and forgetting your gloves. I noted glove absence early and wondered why... Glad you didn't have any lasting injury.

Glad your ok John we all crash nothing serious just a little mistake on the stairs. Too much front brake looked to be the main issue plus mtb tires are slippery on that surface. I'm happy to see you get back up and just ride it off like nothing happened

It's best not to shift when putting load through the pedals
It's best to leave the brakes loose so they move when you crash instead of braking them I do the same with my display

That double action aka falling forward over your bike then off a stair set combo was lethal!! Jeez John so glad you're experienced because on BMXing I am not as experienced for a fall like that I don't know how to maneuver my bike weight with my body on falls to I just get lucky but from Skateboarding for all my life I know how to fall it's just different holding onto what you're falling with!! the bike is making horrible clicking n grinding noises when you shift cus you cant upshift while goin up hill only down and you gotta time your shifts so you're not shifting when putting load on the pedals or cranking hard. the noise is wearing out the drivetrain

Bro you called it. Right after you said you might crash down the stairs it happened. Those hydraulic brakes are not like BMX brakes they will bite hard and flip you over the bars like you riding a bull.
But what happened? Fork or brake? Always gloves and helmet for me and glasses. I am fed up with others guys on road, too much damage
