I'm a white English dude and I stayed around this area for 2 weeks, skated around, walked home, went out in the evening, it's not as sketchy as this video tries to make out. You could meet the same level of danger walking around the Tenderloin in SF on a Sunday morning. It's just scare mongering. Most of these people are just people. It also doesn't look very bad because it's still in beautiful southern California where there's no winter to destroy everything and there's also been a lot of money invested into the city in recent years. At this point Compton just keeps the notoriety it got in the 80s and 90s but now of days there's statistically much more dangerous places in America. There's still a lot of crime and gang activity that goes on but it's not as bad today as most people make it out to be
