I think It's generational, I was watching and thinking kids my age would of been taking the piss and laughing at the "Coward/Gay boy/Chicken". Then on the way home make up a nickname like "Ressy, for reservoir" to embaress the kid further and into the future.
I'm Gen X, BTW. We were taught to honour courage and fear was a source of ridicule. How times change!!!
If you put pressure on someone in that position, you're actually making it worse and probably getting your friend seriously heart. They know could do it, that's another big part too.

Something I really enjoy about all these videos is the incredibly honest and healthy portrayal of masculinity in action sports. This is actual brotherhood - it's awesome how supportive and patient the guys are with Oliver, never demeaning him because he's nervous. It's something we need to see more of in action sports portrayals.

Yeah I'm an old skater from America in you're probably right. Englishmen are very different and extremely friendly and supportive from what I see have this video. Not all Americans are assholes but there is definitely have pretty positive vibe with this lot.

I love this crew, my first time watching these guys. I wish I had friends like these growing up. Although there was a huge amount of fear in Ollie, they never made fun of him but was very patient and understanding, waited for him to take the leap and congratulated him for his personal achievement. These are wonderful guys with an amazing pure friendship...amazing tricks but most of all the love was amazing. Wish you the best guys...
I do appreciate the patience and love y’all show the young ones and each other. That didn’t exist much here in Texas when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. I hope people everywhere are learning to treat their friends this way!!!!

I'm not a bicycle rider - BMX or anything. But, every time I watch this video I remember why I watch these and why I subscribe to Sebastian Keep and am a tallorder fan. Because of what Ollie (and the others) battled and overcame. No shame for those who don't either. But the obvious victory over their selves and building up their courage even when terrified...this!

there was a DVD made at the time called "Stop the madness 2" i will try to contact the guy who edited it to see if he has the footage. We had to chip away the ledge to create the drop in.

I notice one OR two things about this video, first- group of kids hanging out for the day with no guns, foul language and most of all, not pressuring the one kid to do something he wasn't ready to do. Second- they didn't trash the place write/paint on the walls.

That looks like a sick place to ride. I would build other ramps in there and turn it into a awesome skate park.
3:51 stairs. They remove the top ladder so people don’t climb down in it. It can quickly be added back in less than a minute

@@gregshearer423 I don't see any ladder anywhere. The reservoir is over 150 years old, yes I'm sure there was a ladder there at some point in its history. There doesn't seem to be one there now.

Dropping in is (imo) one of the biggest mental hurdles out there, props to the dude who battled this one at the top and DEFEATED it, sick session all round

This video is AWESOME. I know it's already been said a a lot but their attitude to one another is flawless. I was really impressed by that "flair flip" as well. You guys are all very talented, keep it up! When I lived in California I went longboarding in a lot of places similar to this. Never dropped in though lol. Nice job fellas👍

Honestly I think there's just something about bike lads - they always seem to be really sound guys. I was friends with a group when I was a teenager and they were just cool and chilled out, always encouraging each other, never taking the piss. Was really nice to see these guys admitting they were scared of dropping in and not a single person saying anything disparaging.
The support you show for each other took an excellent video up a level. Great stuff!

Calm down man! There is footage of someone dropping in on this on a skateboard. Bricks can be skated as long as the mortar is more or less flush with the surface.

I have dabbled in just about everything to do with bmx'ing skateboarding and blading and what i love most is how everyone helps each other and how chill people are, except for one thing and that is how skateboarders will put someone down for holding a board a certain way.

I have done 7,8 stories on a hill climb/ jump on dirtbikes but the 1st drop in on a bike I would need at least 2 Xanax and 2 large coffees. So sick.

If they go again they should get a rope tied to something a bit higher like a fence or post or tree so it would be easier to get out if they're injured. (glad there where no injuries this time) Coolest vid I've seen for a while.
