Just goes to show, doesn't matter how much training you have or how hard core you are, when you are being shot at or have to shoot at someone it is very traumatic.

After all that, this officer runs back to his K9 to reassure him and makes sure he's ok. Turns off siren and pulls out what looks to be a cell phone. I can imagine he texts his wife in case she's watching the news. Honey I'll be home tonight.
For a second I thought he was talking to a child in the backseat 😂
He saw the other dog coming forward and that reminded him of his dog in the back seat and that he should check to see if it took a bullet from either the guy or friendly fire.

My heart was racing , My father in law was a Tennessee State Trooper. I loved him to death. He Loved being an officer and Loved and Respected each and every office he worked with. God Bless these men. And Thank God they were all safe. Even the the four legged officer. You All are True Hero’s! Thank you all for you Service. My father in law is No Longer with us. But the day he was laid to rest, we had officers lined up on both sides of the street for Miles. It still makes me Cry!

Same here my Cousin is a Police Officer in the Laredo Police Department and honestly everyday I pray they come home
God bless him & his service. These officers deserve our prayers & respect. My cousin is currently a THP officer & patrols five counties, including the Knox/Anderson area. He's in danger everyday, but loves his job.
I love that he checked on his dog multiple times...cant get a person to do that in the supermarket parking lot

I am glad to live in knoxville with such great officers. They never get enough credit, but preform their jobs with out asking for praise.
Feels eerie seeing something so violent in a place I drove everyday for years. When you're shot at, family makes sure you're alright, these guys are family. Thanks guys for keeping is safe. Same area of the expressway the semi truck rear-ended the car with several family members back 30 or so years ago.
That was officer Connor Amburn with the Knox County Sheriffs office. He's the goofiest person you will ever know in your life but he's from good stock. 2 gorgeous babies and a beautiful wife waiting for him at home. Thank God he came home that night.

These officers moved like a well oiled machine. Seriously, highly impressed with their professionalism/handling of the situation.
I've seen some ridiculous pit maneuvres but this one was done safely and effectively.
They were unprofessional and trigger happy, not to mention they almost shot each other.

It seemed like no officers were seriously injured (hit by bullets). I certainly hope that's the case. And I don't know if the suspect died but I'm glad another piece of human trash is cleaned up off the highway. Praying for our men and women out there trying to keep us safe, please keep cleaning the trash off the highway so they don't make it to our homes.
Yes the driver died but the passenger survived... The driver was wanted out of Florida for murder and he said they wouldn't take him alive and he was right..

wasnt left in drive. In fact you cant leave any dodge in drive while the drivers door is opened. Was a recall cause some guy ran himself over. Now all dodges are programmed this way
@@3SevenFishing Was it in neutral? The car on the right was definitely rolling forward as that officer ran to stop it. I own a Charger, and there's nothing stopping me from opening the door and getting out while it's in drive. (Mine is a 2014, so the newer ones might be different) The point remains that it wasn't put in park. (Understandable in the situation)
Yes. The lesson learned here is these officers are absolute heroes and did an outstanding job in a very high stress life and death situation with their adrenaline pumping like crazy.

That is a feature on certain sirens, its called "Park kill". However, it is only an option and not to many U.S Law enforcement agencies use it.

It makes sense for vehicle borne engagement, but not this situation. It doesnt take an experienced individual to understand that time is a factor with combat.

Those sirens have to be pure hell for the police dog 🐕
In the academy when you and your dog are being trained, they use sirens in training scenarios to get the dog used to sirens blaring, they also use special "guns" that pretty much shoot just blank rounds to get the dog used to gun shots so they don't get scared when ACTUAL gun shots pop off.
Those sirens should have an automatic shutoff; they clearly interfere with communication and could contribute to unjustified killing.

actually when you think about it, it's the perfect way to approach an armed suspect in a vehicle...let it roll forward slowly using it for cover until you can get a kill shot.....

Stop it at about 5:04 and you see the officer's windshield took a hit, right in front of him. A lucky guy... the officer, not the perp.... How does the song say it, "and another one's down and another ones down and another one bites the dust...." In my day growing up in Ohio the State Patrol used to show movies called "signal 30" which consists of highway accidents and the results of recklessness. Today, they ought to show body cam footage like this so kids can be impressed with the results of criminality... and as the film fades to black...."and another one's down and another ones down and another one bites the dust...."

Your so right. Those K9.s dogs are aware when there partner is in danger too.
He was also checking to make sure the dog hadn't been shot, as their car had been hit several times.
