Jesus is The Incarnation of Wisdom

In John's gospel as well as in texts like Colossians, Ephesians, and Hebrews, there is a common theological motif that Jesus is the incarnation of Wisdom. To establish this theme, the authors turned towards texts in the Old Testament like Proverbs, Wisdom of Solomon, Ecclesiasticus, and Sirach.
Wisdom, as portrayed in the OT can roughly be defined in two relevant ways:
1. The self-expression of God.
2. The infinite knowledge and truth that is eternally coterminous with God.
