An Introduction to Apocryphal Scriptures

  • This video introduces a few books in the "deuterocanonical" and apocrypha domain that have influence in the New Testament; particularly the writings of St. Paul.
    It is good to read apocrypha with a wariness in mind. This is not scripture and while it can tell us spiritual truths, if a concept or idea conflicts with scripture, it should be rejected. On the other hand, the Fathers, the councils, and even the reformers did not view apocrypha as something to be entirely avoided.

    I mentioned the "trial by fire" was 1 Cor 15 but its actually 1 Cor 3. I got mixed up because chapter 15 is my favorite chapter of the entire Bible so I mixed that in there too xD

      I don’t have many opinions on them. They were a group of Jews before and after Christ’s time that liked mysticism to some extent. I assume many became Christian when their little sect of Judaism died.
      Why?
