American Truck Simulator - Million Dollar Highway?

- Today I go to Telluride with a Case tractor in tow but to get there,I have to climb a small hill.
The I-10 pack works with the Coast 2 Coast map mod. I have not tested it with other map mods like MHApro or MexUScan. The I-10 mod is still early in production so there are errors in the landscape.
For recording this gameplay,I had the I-10 mod ABOVE the C2C mod.

I have actually driven the Million Dollar Highway. U.S. 550 in Colorado going to Farmington from Grand Junction. I recommend you ABSOLUTELY know what you're doing when going over it. Switch backs, steep grades, narrow road, no guard rails, 1500 ft drops on either side of the road, immediate changes in weather, steep grades, etc. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR THOSE JUST SEEKING A THRILL. You go down, no one will find you for awhile, if at all. The traffic is also next to none.
Shows quite the difference between a carefully painted landscape and someone doing a weekend hobby job at home to be first to have a mod done.
All these mods people do that aren't done are kind of pointless. I'm not going to go through the hassles of re-re-downloading a mod. Once and done for me.
I enjoy your realism in this game. Great video. Being a third generation truck driver, this is nice..

i would love coming down that hill seems fun. when i'm going up hill using a 13 spd i climb the hill in 1st or 2sec gear when i'm using a 18 spd i climb with 1L or LH. Nice vid Casket

I'm a subscriber like your videos. I'm also a truck driver who lives in Colorado. The million dollar highway is no joke a lot of people have been killed up there. Motorcycles love running that highway because of the turns. Maybe they will do I-70 over Vail pass.. good to see different scenery in the game also mountain driving for the skills and challenge. stephen brown because when they first blasted the side of the mountain to make the road, it supposed to be legend that gold and silver was deposited through out the road from the blast.

+Jofel Salado I don't remember. Chances are the version will be listed in the mod description but seeing this video is old. I'm going to guess 1.5 or 1.6
Mine is 1.29.2.6 version, and it kept on crashing :(

the jet noise is a glitch from one of the sound pack files i believe.

I installed mexuscan, interstate and coast to coast mod. However, when i play the game, all i see is the long boring roads like mexuscan. Where do i get the million dollar highway?

+The KnightWalker I would have to check again,I think I-10 has to be on top but I'm not 100% sure. I also believe C2C must be activated. Mexuscan is a option I believe.
i can't seem to get mine to work without mexuscan.

Requirements:
Coast to Coast v1.9
MEXUSCAN v1.11.1
Loading order:
Mexuscan v1.11.1
Interstate 10 v1.2
Coast to Coast v1.9
So nothing else should be higher on the priority list than these items.

The towns you said are not on the Million dollar Highway. it starts in Aztec, NM and goes over three 10,000+ passes to end at Montrose,CO passing through the towns of cedar Hill, The official start of the Million Dollar HWY at the NM/CO boarder. Durango, CO Hermosa. pass 1 10,800 feet then a short decent to 8,450 follow by the second pass at 10,918 feet down into Silverton, CO follow by third pass 11,550 feet with the hardest decent that even emergency vehicles can't even go full speed. how in the hell do i get all my map mods to work after the 1.4 update Patch for ats its pissin me off i had coast to coast an mexucon 1.10 the newest one of that.. so Pleas help its really pissin me off
+Lance Benson I don't use those mods other than mhapro. I believe all but mexuscan have updated as they should work so your mod list priority order might need to be tweaked.

That is the new MexUSCan map that you need. The priority order is also listed there in the description so that is how you should put the 2 map mods on your priority list.

I have tried several times to get this to work with no luck. I get it to show up on the map but no roads actually connect. I run into invisible walls or fall into nothing at the end of roads trying to get there. Any chance you can post the actual links to the mods you are using? I don't have much hair left to pull out 😂

That is the link to the most current version. V1.2 but I am not sure if it works with ATS V1.5. I also believe you need the Coast 2 Coast map mod as well. I didn't use this map add on much
Thanks. I have V1.2 and the C2C map which is the rescalled version. I am running ATS V1.5 so maybe thats my issue.

+Niko Klemenz (KlemenzBER5060) I don't have a set order besides mhapro at the top. I try to have any truck mods and little things like yellow light mod and led pack after mhapro. Trailer mods next with skins last

I was on the million dollar high way and my dad took corners so fast and my mom and I were yelling at him, then when we were coming back for I'm fluoride we stopped in Silverton and I guess the car behind us had crashed and slew of the cliff

I think another thing with the eta is that he has the speed limit set to 65 rather than something much lower, and reasonable
Drive in the mountains is a lack of skill some of the roads look flat and they're not they actually on the incline your truck and let you know if you are on an incline or on flat land

strange, might be different from where i live i live in Ontario Canada and i see quite a few oversize loads goin up the highway they dont have there beacons on just flags on all parts that are sticking out and at night red lights on the back parts that stick out. could be different though, i was hauling heavy equipment for a while and my trainer told me you can get a fine if you leave your beacons on going down the road.
It might be different here in the states.
This vid was a real hill climber, nice landscape though. Saw the Batesville trailer you posted, brings back memories of unloading those dam things. Hows the new shifter working out.

For an add realism maybe you could drive your truck from inside the cab rather than in third person.
I did that to get a scale of slope and view.
