So relating to the transformer, my brother and I hauled this as co-drivers on ATS. On his leg he downshifted from 8H to 1L. He proceeded to scream "AUTOBOTS ROLL OUT!" as the truck proceeded to roll a few times and finished his beer... good times lol

It's really amazing how realistic this game is. Of course the mods help but still! It looks amazing!
The engine sounds better. I like loud jake brakes. I think the truck painted black, red or green would look good. That blue kinda looks purplish.

I don't mind the driving at night thing. That's something that needs to be done because of how the game is made. I DO wish they added an "escort vehicle" mode for oversized load trucks, because escorts are used on oversized loads.
Ugh that would be so cool! Where I'm from, you don't see an oversize load truck without a pilot vehicle.
I see them in Illinois all the time. I figured it was a Federal level law.

They allow oversized loads at night in some countries, a couple years ago, I passed one of the widest loads in history at night, they took up the whole road (2 lane highway).
most overside loads do take up the road, especially construction equipment

People saying u cant run oversize at nighte well if u have a gient load there are laws one of them say when the load can be carried most oversize loads will be restricted to only knighte time so the traffic interruption is far less than running it during day time hours

I dont have the studdering issues that you have in your game when running the heavy cargo DLC, but I don't have any mods installed either. One thing to try, I do notice some frame rate decrease when I am running with the beacons on, seems the beacon reflections off certain things cause some frame rate reduction, maybe that your case as well.

Also on my game I haven't seen any stutter (knock on wood) with the CHP car mod or other mods I have in. If you like I could list off all the mods I have installed and maybe help you narrow it down that way and/or try on yours to see if that eliminates it.

Got this and pulled it all over. Just bought Pro Mods 2.17 for ETS2, some hinky graphics in spots, but looking forward to 2.2... Need to see if they have anything for ATS. Yes, I have added mods finally. Had to add to drive E, but once I figured that out, no problems... Good video.

I've been thinking about picking up either Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator but I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on which is better. I've never played any of them and after seeing a good amount of gameplay I've been pretty stuck on deciding which i should get. What game is the better choice?
It'd say get both. They're on sale on Steam until July 19th. You can get both for $15. (ATS for $10 and ETS2 for $5) Normally they're $20 each.

any medium setting recommended that still make my game look good at least? I run my game on an IMac, like i said before it was PERFECTLY fine on my IMac then for some reason it just started lagging idk what happened
Hey Jeff when you go up hills usually truckers will put on their panic signals on.
I like when you play American truck simulator
What you really should do it first take them ALL out and try it with just the games DLC's for heavy haulers, if you see the stutters there you know it is the games fault, then start adding them back in 1 at a time. If you find one that makes them worse or creates them you have you've found your baby, try them all by themselves first, because the stutters could actually be a compounded issue from 2 or more of the mod. Very enjoyable to watch, great episode. You could add a link to the you tube stream view channel please, in the description.
Hey Jeff if your going to use heavy cargo pack I'd disable all mods. That's only cause between recording and all the task the game already creates plus the heavy cargo itself your probably giving your cpu a hell Of a work out. Just suggesting Jeff. I really enjoy your heavy hauls on here. Really am amazed how far you have come. I been a sub since you were around 80k strong and it's only gotten better

Great job Jeff!! I've been kinda reluctant to install the Heavy Haul DLC. I see so many of you having problems with frame rate issues. What I have experienced with mods, sometimes, when you remove a mod, it may still remain in the game for a short while until it works it's way out, usually after 1 or 2 game days. I have noticed this to be prevalent with trailer mods. I run very few mods these days while things are changing in ATS & ETS2 on a day to day basis. I have kind of a mid range graphics card, but so far still handles things rather well. I do run a older VNL-670 truck mod, and I do see some errors show up in the Game.Log, but still runs without major problems. I'm hoping for an update to that mod.

Hey Jeff, first of all congratulations on 500,000 subscribers, you deserve it! I have a question, how did you join DOJ and how did you find out about it?
I think it's a trailer pack you have installed. It seems to stutter when it's generating trailers, either in AI traffic or when you're coming up on cities/job sites. Good luck getting it figured out, I know it can be frustrating.
