The biggest objection to this video so far has been: "Muslim doesn't mean follower of Islam, it means submitter to Allah"
That doesn't really address the issue here. For the Quran to make any claim about Abraham and then invalidate other religions' claims to him because of the timeline.. that undermines the Quran's argument. Because it is the furthest on the timeline from Abraham.
Also, I said it clearly, this doesn't "disprove" Islam because it hasn't been proven to begin with. I'm just borrowing catchy religious titles.

Besides that and the absurd suggestion that disbelievers just wouldn't understand or not use their intellect, there are even more issues with this dubious verse.
To begin with, it asserts Christians and Jews would argue about Abraham, or claim he was a Jew or a Christian. They don't, and I have never met any Jew or Christian who would even think of such nonsense or waste time on that. The entire message of the verse was therefore already based on a lie or a pointless strawman, at best on a misrepresentation of other religions' claims which it only pretends to invalidate. There's nothing like a justified argument or truth in the entire verse, but only unsubstantiated claims and manipulative propaganda.

Keeping in mind you recently made this comment, I can assume the recent objections came from a video who refuted this argument, from Farhan Ahmed Zia. All credit goes to him, and I hope this clears up any misconceptions and doubts. Bismillah, let’s start.
First, that sure is one way to take one part of the argument and leave everything else. The argue, not against your objection to the Quranic verse is as follows:
      1) The verse addresses a group of Jews and Christians at the time who had an argument about whether Abraham was a Jew or Christian, and so Allah sent down this verse refuting both sides by showing how what defines their religion (ie the Torah and Gospel) wasn’t sent down until long after Abraham. This logic is sound because being a Jew or Christian is defined by following the Torah or Gospel, and since neither existed at the time of Abraham, he couldn’t have been following their religion in that sense. This makes it a matter of which they have no knowledge of except conjecture. Not only that, but one can also see how this is impossible in the definition of the words “Jew
“ and “Christian”, namely being “a member of the Kingdom of Judah” and “a follower of Christ”, both of which, again, came way after Abraham. Then you attempted to apply this to the Quran, which leads us to the next point.
      2) A Jew or Christian is defined by them following their own books. Applying this to the Quran and then saying we can’t claim Abraham was a Muslim either is false because as you mentioned, being a Muslim doesn’t depend on the book sent down (ie the Quran), it depends on submitting to Allah. Hence the argument can’t be applied to the Quran because that would be assuming being a Muslim revolves around following the Quran, which throughout history isn’t true. As for Abraham, the term “Muslim” can still be used since he was a monotheist worshipping Allah, regardless of when the Quran was sent down. Since claiming he was a Muslim doesn’t depend on him following the Quran and rather him worshipping Allah alone, the argument remains valid.
As for the reply saying Jews and Chrsitians disagreeing about Abraham and that being a lie and a misrepresentation, this can be refuted on two points:
First, the prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to debate the Jews and Christians on more than one occasion. They were basically the “Islam Critics” of their day, only to be refuted day in and day out. Had this been a lie against them, they would’ve instantly taken notice and used it against the Muslims.
Second, the following may be found in Tafsir Ibn Kathir page 184:
Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Yasar reported than Ibn ‘Abbas said, “The Christians of Najran and Jewish Rabbis gathered before the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم). The rabbis said, ‘Ibrahim was certainly Jewish.’ The Christians said, ‘Certainly, Ibrahim was Christian.’ So Allah sent down, (يا أهل الكتاب لم تحاجون في إبراهيم) meaning, ‘How is it that you, Jews, claim that Ibrahim was Jew, although he lived before Allah sent down the Tawrah to Musa? How is it that you, Christian’s claim that Ibrahim was Christian, although Christianity came after his time?”

@@capsa4life376 Little did Mohammed know, showing that his so-called knowledge of Christians and Jews wasn't sent down by a God.
      1) Jews were certainly not defined as "members of a kingdom of Judah" in the time of Mohammed. A claim like that wouldn't make any sense to Jews or Christians back then.
Neither would it make any sense for Jews and Christians to debate if Abraham was a Jew or a Christian, because that's neither claimed in their scriptures nor part of their religion.
Both Christians and Jews believed traditions, that Abraham was a patriarch or ancestor of the Israelites, that the Torah started only with Moses and Christianity only with Jesus.
Mohammed was therefore fighting a strawman or claims made up by himself, that didn't have any relevance to normal Jews or Christians and could never make a good argument.
Besides the ten commandments, Jews and Christians also never claimed that their scriptures had been sent down. Only muslims made claims like that for their own scriptures or claimed Mohammed was a prophet, but Jews and Christians never believed or accepted them regardless, so none of your definitions and interpretations meant anything to them.
Only muslims could believe that just anything claimed by Mohammed had authority or truth, or just anything coming from a god, but neither Christians nor Jews would buy that.
      2) A Christian was someone who believed in the god of Abraham and that Jesus was the Christ or Messiah. Therefore Mohammed was himself a christian but told you else.
Maybe except for a few heretics, Christians never claimed that any of their gospels (plural) had been "sent down", but that gospels were accounts from actual witnesses of Jesus.
Whatever some quran or Mohammed claimed to know, it meant absolutely nothing of any relevance to Jews or Christians, nor to pre-islamic arabic pagans or just anybody else before only the 7th century, let alone to Abraham, if you can't prove he ever spoke arabic or ever gave a shit for what some 7th century arab claims. He never claimed to be muslim and the defintion accepted by muslims was never accepted by just anyone before the 7th century or outside islamic religion, where only believers in a quran are called muslims.

Muslim here. I believe the verse can be interpreted as "Why do you claim that the teachings and practices revealed in the Bible and the Torah applied to Abraham when it was revealed long after him"?
Notice that the verse emphasizes the mention of the Books, not that Jews or Christians simply said Abraham was a Jew or Christian in the sense of the core belief. The books entail teachings and practices, which cannot be said to apply to all prophets because that is unknown to them as the next verse says.
You said, doesn't this apply also to the Quran, which came after Abraham? Well, where does it say in the Quran that it applied to Abraham? That Abraham fasted Ramadan maybe? We don't say that Abraham did exactly what the Quran says. That would be like saying Noah observed Eid al-Adha, which is illogical since Noah came long before that.. And Abraham came long before the Quran. We simply say that Abraham rejected paganism (Hanif) and believed and submitted to God (Muslim), not that he fasted Ramadan for example, which is exclusive to this Ummah.
As for the "why don't you use your intellect". This is a logical contradiction, one that doesn't require faith to figure it out, hence the use of "Intellect" (Aql) rather than "if you but believe". I don't see it condescending in any way. That's probably just prejudice from you.
P.S.: Supporting this from Hadith, at the second coming of Jesus, Jesus will rule with what was revealed to Mohammed and his teachings, as evident in Sahih Muslim ("He would lead you according to the Book of your: Lord (hallowed be He and most exalted) and the Sunnah of your Apostle (ﷺ).") Book 1, Hadith 299
Also in Sahih Muslim 156, Book 1, Hadith 300 : "I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah."
"This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah." This about this for a second.. Each Ummah has it characteristics and blessings. But the Quran says, they all submitted to God (aka are Muslims).
    And God knows best.

The fact that you genuinely think there are irrefutable 'scientific and historical miracles' in the quran and that the quran itself can even remotely begin to stand up to any actual testing shows you've been living in a bubble. Mythical unproveable hogwash has no place in the real world and deserves no consideration. When a religion is founded on fear and abusive love & actively seeks to deter/punish detractors no one should ever give it any thought. It's disgusting. Good day, brother!
1:14 is a bit strange, don't you think: The arabic word is not the one used in a Quran, seems like someone knows how to change the code of the page. You may want to check via link you attached :) "Do you not understand?" is the clear translation given below.
Anyway, let's go to the main part:
The verse is not explicitly stating that Jews and Christians cannot claim that Abraham was following their religion because the Torah and the Gospel were revealed later. Instead, the emphasis IS ON QUESTIONING THE BASIS for disputes and arguments about Abraham when those scriptures were not revealed during his lifetime.
The broader message in the Quran is to emphasize the unity of the message across different prophets and scriptures, particularly the oneness of God and the call to submission (Islam). While the verse challenges the disputations about Abraham's faith in light of the chronological order of revelations, it does not explicitly say that Jews and Christians cannot claim any connection to Abraham.
The Quran encourages recognizing the commonalities in the message of monotheism shared by the Abrahamic faiths and suggests a focus on the fundamental principles rather than unnecessary disputes. The aim is to foster understanding and unity among believers in God, regardless of the specific religious traditions they follow.
If you came up with thoughtful observation, I'm 100% sure that this explanation is clear enough for you to understand. (IF it's not, let me know, I have an explanation I use for the children ^^

Also, there are many signs in the book, and those who are ignorant when faced with them are those being punished, fear is a tactic that he knows drives Humans, but another thing that drives humans is rewards, Heaven and Hell. •  Год назад

Its not inconsistent. Considering Quran is coming from God, God knows the past and he can reveal what happened in the past in the present. This was also proven my a mulitude of verses that not even the bible/torah has or in cases where bible is straight up historically wrong and the Quran has the correct statement that will eventually be historically proven 1000 years later.
Also God is speaking in the quran. When Jews and Christians were making up stories of Abraham being a jew/christian that is purely lying in the name of religion which is blasphemy. Also also, God can insult whoever he wants and he has a good reason to insult them.
This guy assumes that people think the quran was a random revelation that Muhammad made up and that people would question these things. They didn't. Both jews and christians were aware of the miracles and the quranic narrative so this is why God is speaking with such confidence in the verses. Only fools would ignore the Quran when they are experiencing the miracle in front of their faces.

    • @kaneinkansas
      @kaneinkansas 7 месяцев назад

@@ryuzaki5491 Indeed, I have read the Koran and Hadiths as I taught a unit on Islamic Jurisprudence for many years. Islamic Jurisprudence is reliant upon the Koran, the Sunna and the Hadiths to determine Islamic Law. But that is not the point. The point is, Mohammed hated and his God did too, and gave Mohammed license to kill the people he hated, and that . Period. End of story.
In Islam we see sanctioned hatred, deceit, death.
Judeo-Christians believe God is love and truth and embraces life and humility, love ;and truth - oh and paradox: he shames the strong and rich and violent with weakness, humility and peacefulness. As a result the Western (often Christian) view is that God loves all that he created, including all humans, and he gave us free will, so we can find our way, thru our own personal volition, to goodness and to God. God not only asks us to love our neighbor as ourselves, but love our enemies too and to pray for them. Why? Because God loves them too. God created them, and God loves his creation. If God did not want us to be free to find our own way to him in each of our own way, he wouldn't have given us Free Will, instead would have only created Muslims. Presumably, God has that power.
You should not presume I am a Christian or a type or kind of Christian, only that I am of the West and inherit Western thought.
But you should consider that to Christians, Islam and Mohammed are the anti-Christ and seemingly demonic - because it embraces hate, killing (of non-Muslims) and use of deceit. Also, Jesus is viewed as an expression of God's love for humanity. It is assumed that love is the ultimate elixir to sufferance - and that Jesus endures the massive amount of possible sufferance, in part, because the size (infinite) of his love for us. It is assumed that the more evil something is the less it loves or is able to feel and manifest love and to pray for those who do harm to us. This gets into the the crux of things. Islam's view of paradise is void of love, except or instead, it is presented as a sexual paradise. This is corporeal pleasure, not a manifestation of love. The Koran makes lots of mistakes about science and history and even religion - confusing Mary as being kin Moses and Lot, and tells stories related to the infantry gospel of Thomas. It also embraces deceit whereas the Gospels say Satan is the king of lies, and represents death, destruction, violence and hate.
There is the Islamic Dilemma - it upholds the validity of the Gospels, but the Gospels do not return the favor.
Then there is the theme of paradox. Muslims are hung up on logic, a very human thing, but logic is very simplex, more intriguing is paradox which is a huge theme in Christianity. God attacks hate with love, strength with weakness, greatness with humility, and so on. It is in giving that one receives, it is in pardoning we are pardoned. and it is in dying that one is born to eternal life. Much of Christianity is counter intuitive to Muslims because of paradox, but the Christian God seems to like paradox.

Allah is saying how can Abraham be a Christian or Jew when the texts that Christianity and Judaism are based on (I.e. the Gospel and Torah respectively) came after Abraham. To be a Christian you must follow the Gospel, how can Abraham follow the gospel if it came after him, which means that he cannot be Christian. The same applies to Judaism. For Abraham to be Jewish he must have followed the Torah, although he couldn’t because the Torah came after him. If god wants us to act in a certain way, either he's insanely cruel and we're his play things (puppets) that he has total control over (including all phenomena and other belief systems), or he's extremely incompetent.
He's also responsible for all of the suffering in the world, and our ability to feel it as suffering. If you believe god is omnipotent and monitors our thoughts, feelings for anything that might go against his teachings, while at the same time believing that he has supreme command of every aspect of the universe you leave yourself with the two possibilities above; either he's insanely stupid and inept, or he's a cruel benevolent dictator type.
Also, why would god reveal himself exclusively to illiterate peasants in the desert who lived conveniently in a time and era where human knowledge was relatively poor and largely communicated via word of mouth? And why not reveal himself to a culture that had long established collectively sourced knowledge and had widespread written history (China)?

And you trust a scripture that doesnt even preserved in Jesus language which was aramaic. And ciriticize about Quran, thats so funny.
    Lets jump to your point:
You should know that, this verse was revealed when jews and cristans at that time where arguing about Ibrahim (As).
Some claiming Ibrahim (As) was jews or cristain. Where Ibrahim was beliver in one GOD. In Arabic we call it Islam. Allah just responded with this verse.
Even Christian nowadays follow the trinity which not what Ibrahim believed. So Ibrahim was a muslim (in submission to GOD). All the prophet (As) preached the same. So, Quran is answering back their childish aurgument to use some intellect.
I think its applicable for you too as you just side-tracking like a child. Also, how on earth adult like you belive like GOD in three in one, GOD became a human like you and even getting killed. Now even says, these three are equally powerful where jesus said, my father is greater than I, My father is greater than all. So you don't use your own reasoning and tell God to use reason and speak like you? It's laughable.

The word itself means "one who submits (to the will of God)" [meaning: to what is "right"]; and was used prior to the establishment of Islam. Muhammad did not invent the world "muslim", he simply co-opted it and those that the word could be applied to. While the current world generally understands that the usage of "Muslim" indicates a follower of Islam, within Islam it is used in both the modern and historical sense.

I want to say some things after learning about Islam. I don't understand what you mean by saying that critical thought is intolerated in Islam. If doubt wasn't allowed in Islam, then why isn't there a single case in which when a question was asked to Prophet Muhammed on Islam that he said 'That is haram' or 'This doubt is not allowed in Islam' or leaving the question unanswered? Whenever Prophet Muhammed was asked a question on Islam, he answered it there itself without hesitation be it whoever asked the question.
Another thing I want to point out is the criminally underrated Muslim Thinkers during the Islamic Golden age. Whilst most of them were polymaths, they have partaken in Islamic Philosophy such that they have brought up contributions to the field of philosophy. Philosophy was a field that had grown on the basis of one thing: Understand the world by questioning and doubting what we know. Lack of this is insufficient to becoming a philosopher. If such were the case, why weren't they against philosophy? Heck, why didn't even a single one of them left Islam? The best example of a Muslim philosopher who wasn't a Skeptic but applied skepticism into a wide range of topics including Islam is Al-Ghazali. He was known as the 'bane of philosophers'. I bet he would be one of the worst nightmares of Islamophobic interlocutors today. Reading his works and what he had done often made me kind of fearful of the person. Like if he was here right now sitting right next to me, he would correct over a 100 mistakes I make that I wouldn't see. His spiritual knowledge and intellectual knowledge is sooo vast that his teachers reffered to them as 'a sea one could drown in.' No wonder Rene Descartes was inspired by Al-Ghazali to develop his Cartesian Skepticism.
And these Muslim thinkers didn't embrace knowledge for the sake of wealth or fame, religion was a sole purpose behind that.
Ibn Sina focused on medicine (who eventually would go on to write 'Canon of Medicine', which would serve as the standard textbook for medicine in Europe till the 18th Century) because of the hadith 'No disease is incurable.'
Ibn Khaldun, regarded as the father of economics and demographics (whose economics theories that predate Adam Smith's are still superior to) focused on History because of Allah telling the Muslims in The Quran to think and question about what their forefathers did.
Al Kwarizmi, father of algebra, developed the branch of mathematics because there wasn't such a field at the time for calculating the inheritance of wealth at the time.

As a Muslim... honestly... I tried to think this through very deeply. As you read the passage at first: "Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; he submitted in all uprightness and was not a polytheist." At first, I didn't see any issues with it until you pointed out the issue and I immediately slapped/face-palmed my head pretty hard.
The actual meaning of a Muslim, is one who submits. In the context of religion, one who submits to God. Within a post-Muhammad-religious context it would usually mean someone pertaining to specifically the religion of Islam (as we know it today).
So when you say the Quran is ACTUALLY saying that Abraham was like a follower of Muhammad, I'm actually no longer confused as to why you apostated. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.
Because you like to make fun of Islam here n there, I'd like to say for the record, and answer the Quran's question on your behalf, no you clearly have not used your intellect here. The LEAST you could of done was literally read the actual translation you posted on your own video 1:30. Instead you literally read it as "submissive Muslim" maybe you should say Submissive Submitted? Which in Arabic is almost like saying Muslim twice? Muslim literally means someone who has submitted. So saying Abraham submitted to God, is a mistake apparently? Lol, sorry but you got to do better.
What upsets me more is looking at the comments of this video agreeing with you, ignorance is bliss. But I can't complain, how are English speaking Atheists supposed to notice your blunder, when even some Arabic speakers wouldn't pick up on it or take notice. I myself don't even know Arabic fully, but I picked up on it. The translation LITERALLY was the cheat code and it just went over your head. I pity the fool(s).

Honestly it’s crazy that apostates try to challenge the Quran with some moral or ethical standard. Like you produce a book even in your language that completely alters the entire scope (i.e., creates an entirely new genre of literature) while creating new words and phrases that are unambiguous and perfectly understood by everybody, and also remains at the highest level of eloquence from an objective standpoint.

Hi brother. Let's start with this. The biggest mistake that people make is believing that it's a favor on God for them to believe, to the contrary it's a favor on us if God opens our chest to believe. The problem with your argument is that you assume that by the Arabic word Muslim it's referring to a "religion". He's addressing the people that have taken the "way of life" this system of guidance that was sent down before and then they broken it up into "religion". Instead of viewing the untranslated word Muslim as a religion translat it to English as you have the rest of the verse. Then you would see that he's saying that Abraham was not a Jew, (which was a nickname that the people refer to the followers of Moses after him that later became a "religion" called Judaism), nor was he a Christian, (which again was the nickname given to the people that followed Jesus and later was considered a "religion") , but he was a truly in the state of submission to the will of God. Which is what the Arabic word Muslim would translate to in English. And he was not one who was associated partners with God meaning he worship God alone. If you have read the entire Quran then you would see that throughout it constantly tells us that this way of life recommended by God is one way of life and that's submission to his judgments. Understanding that man is the one that he gave free will to. Example you don't have to teach a horse how to be a horse or to do things that horses do because they don't have free will. Man on the other hand we do have free will and with that free will is easy to incline to our emotions or our judgments and misjudgments. Just a touch on why the Quran what makes sense to be uncorrupted is to understand that everything that has a beginning also has an end and if God is truly a just God then it would only make sense for him to allow that the truth gets preserved before the day of judgment. If you looking for a sign you can see the sign and the fact that no matter what language is translated to you can always refer back to the original language because most of the time it's there with each translation. Another sign would be the fact that there are literally millions of people that have memorized this book from beginning to end. I agree with you that some or maybe even more than some don't understand its meaning that's between them and God. Yet still the word itself is there and if someone misquotes it, they are quickly corrected. And finally there's no arrogance in God he allows people pray to other than him, not believing him at all, not care to do good in this life etc yet he's still gives them blessings in this life the blessings of life itself with the law that he gives men what they strive for. And yet the evil people and the disbelieving people those who associated partners with God and those who didn't believe in him will deserve misery in the next life to come because they failed the test of this temporary life. And they forgot about the day of judgment One last note that really refers back to what I started with if one closes their heart and chooses to disbelieve God don't need us. He leaves that person lost and his word don't become clear to them yet when one strives to believe then he starts to open his word up to them and starts to make it clear and then he gives them the light to walk through this life with. If it's confusing to you then maybe it's because you're looking to be confused as opposed to looking to be guided. Peace!!!!

Your point 5 minutes in really resonated with me. I'm an atheist, always have been, but fairly recently a friend told me I was ignorant for asking questions. Blind faith in political leaders has always existed, but the current political thing is to have intolerance at the same time for other people who have faith in other political leaders. Imagined moral superiority turning into a willingness to persecute other viewpoints and ignore long-established norms that preserve political diversity. Which is something with dire consequences as demonstrated by the former Communist bloc.

The problem is that any sort of extreme ideology tends to become its own religion. Followers typically respond badly to this conclusion, but that tends to prove its validity. Far left/far right politics have literally every single hallmark of a cult. Their leaders are idolized like gods, their dogma is unquestionable in any way and doing so will incite violence. Anyone who's not on their side is the enemy (who isn't for us, is against us) and they believe they hold a monopoly on absolute truth and justice. That's a religious cult. No two ways around it.
If the extreme conclusion of any political ideology inherently becomes a cult, the moderates on either side are simply the less problematic followers. But they ultimately still believe in their side's core tenets. They have the same arguments as moderate christians or muslims, like "yeah but there are good things in it too", leading to the assumption that all of the bad it brings doesn't matter, as long as it does some good alongside it. Politics are as inherently toxic and dangerous as any religion. Unfortunately that also leads to the uncomfortable conclusion that we're all living in some sort of theocracy. Religion rules the world just as much, if not more so than it did in the dark ages. It dictates law and actively persecutes those who don't submit to it. The best and only thing you can do is keep your head down and pretend to be a moderate. The alternative invariably means being publicly vilified, potentially imprisoned or worse. You lose your rights when people realize you see politics and politicians for what they really are. There really is no faster way to make a lot of enemies.

@@DefectivePieceofChalk You're spot on there, and great choice for youtube character! Have you seen the new series?
Yeah I remember writing this comment, it was about the more left-leaning people in my life. Since I wrote it, some of those friends have on their own abandoned their in-groups, feeling that the communities they were in were no longer 'safe spaces'. It's sad, because with this cult-like angle all political groups take, comes the sacrifice of the individual.
And I know individualism might be a more right-wing thing but deep down we all want to define ourselves. I spoke to someone about gender for example the other day and she said her gender identity was the only solid thing she knew about herself. These costumes we wear, the masks, the categories; it's all a way of discovering yourself.
But when you slot that discovery into a group, and that group wants you to be defined ONLY by those discoveries, it very quickly becomes a dehumanizing, spiralling game of who fits the group the best. Questions are unwelcome, dissent is met with ridicule, doxxing, bullying, and sometimes violence.
I consider myself incredibly privileged to have friends who can sit and talk about comedy, for example, without deciding they are the ultimate moral authority on what you can and cannot joke about. I've seen that happen increasingly in the arts and it is thoroughly depressing, this suffocation of expression under the guise of 'kindness' that in reality, only serves to silence people for whom dark comedy is not just a fun night out, but a much-needed release.
Anyway, lots of points for one comment, I'll leave it there. Thanks for replying dude!

Assalam aleykum.

Here Allah says to you a question if you are from the Pepole of the Book, the probable answer you will give is the Torah and Gospel are the words of God so i argue with them, now lets move on.
Allah says: Here you are! You disputed about what you have knowledge of, so why do you now argue about what you have no knowledge of? Allah knows and you do not know.

Allah says: Abraham was neither a Jew nor a christian but a Muslim (submited to the will of Allah) in all uprightness. and was not of the polytheists.
Clearly Abraham is neither a Jew nor a christian from the Torah or a Jew from the Gospel, so why do you argue about him not being a Muslim or a submitter to Allahs will when you have no knowledge of it and just try to argue? Maybe he was?

First off, I want to apologize in advance for the long post.
I think that these verses consider Abraham (or Ibrahim) a muslim based on the fact that he practiced complete submission to God (Islam).
The Quran claims to come to abrogate and perfect what this practice of submission entails. That doesn’t mean that previous prophet were not able to practice submission according to their best understanding at that time.
The “don’t you reason?” Or “don’t you have intelect?” Doesn’t feel like an insult, but a call to stop the fighting and reflect.
As a former Christian, the passage “I know things that you don’t” reminds me of God’s response at the end of the Book of Job. I wonder if that’s by design.
For these reasons, I think the message here COULD be considered to be effective.

I could say Muhammad, for example, was a prophet, but then someone else could ask, "how was he a prophet if 'prophet' is an English word, yet the English language didn't exist during his time?" To which I would reply, okay, he didn't literally refer to himself by the English word 'prophet', but he met the criteria for what the word 'prophet' entails, therefore I'm using modern language to describe an archaic occurrence, but that doesn't necessitate that the same rhetoric must be projected onto the tongues of the people of the past and we erroringly assume they literally used the same terms and expressions that I use. Of course they didn't literally speak the same way as me.
Likewise, one could say the prophets of the past couldn't have been Muslim because Islam as we understand it didn't exist yet, to which It could be said, okay, perhaps they didn't literally refer to themselves as Muslims, but they are described as such in the sense of being submissive to God in accordance with the law that was established during their respective eras, so by the Quran calling them Muslims, it was relating the accounts of ancient occurrences via the language best suited for the ear of the 7th century Arab.
But, that's just my opinion. Perhaps, some people prefer a more literal reading of the text. Everyone has there way I guess. Allah knows best.

In my opinion, this is not the weakest argument at all. 1) Abraham's argument succesfully disproves the farao's claim about farao's divinity. 2.) It is not a proof of God's existence. 3.) Abraham assumes that there has to be something which is organizing the world around us. For him and for the farao it seemed to be a self evident idea. 4.) Even though It was made clear, that farao is not the one, who is organizing the world, the Abram claim that HIS god is doing the organizing wasn't proven either. Not speaking about the other claims: that his name is Allah, and that Abraham is his prophet and so on. All other assertions about Allah were not proven. To sum it up: the point of this story is not a proof of Allah being the one god. The point of this story is the realisation of a human being (the farao) that he is only a human being, not a god, and that there is some god that is ruling everything a that the god is infinitedly greater than the farao. This idea gave the the farao the experience of awe. I am not a believer and I don't like Islam, but in my opinion this is the meaning of the story.

But the Quran was written 500 years after Jesus' death, so according to Islam's own logic, it is even less reliable when it presents Jesus as it does (being a Muslim, not having died on the cross, etc)😮

If you read the Quran in context, it is mentioned that Torah is send to Prophet Musa ONLY for the Jews and Injeel is send to prophey Isa (Jesus) ONLY for Bani Israil at his time. That is why Allah said in that passages Torah and Injeel came after Ibrahim A.S so that's why they cannot claim him to be Jews or Christian. Because the Jews is etchnicity who follow the Torah and Christian is someone who follow the Gospel. On the contrary, Allah mentioned in the Quran that this Book (Quran) is for all mankind. And the term muslim is some one who submitted their will to Allah as what all the prophet do.

No matter what it claims, the quran was evidently not written for all of mankind, because it was not even understandable, believable, useful or made any sense at all to most people ever.
A quran didn't evidently exist before only the 7th century, nor did any claim from or about it, nor did any claim about islam or muslims, nor did any claim about Musas, Isas or Ibrahims.
Only followers of Mohammed ever claimed Musa, Isa or Ibrahim were real or identical with Moses, Jesus or Abraham of jews or christians, rather than only 7th century parodies invented by 7th century arabs. Pre-islamic arabs were polytheistic pagans and pre-islamic monotheists didn't speak arabic or claimed nonsense about Isa, unless they were just christian heretics.

@@irfanaditya8582 You are totally mistaken. No one denies that there are similarities between narrations of different religions, but this has nothing to do with a historical Abraham. Unlike you apparently do, historians consider religious narrations historical evidence only of the narrations themselves and from the time they existed, not as any sort of evidence from the time of Abraham let alone his historical context. Historians don't have evidence that Abraham was even a historical person, but widely agree that he was merely legendary and most likely invented, only even later than the Iliad was written. All you can really do with a narration from a quran, is to compare it with just stories that were just as unsubstantiated and most likely never about actual history, rather than only about beliefs, creeds and traditions from the time they were written. The narration of the quran can and will never be any more evidence, than only of a narration and beliefs of muslims about Abraham, only from the 7th century and later. Whenever historians compare any narrations about some Ibrahim with Abraham from torah or bible, that's not any different from comparing Noah with Deucalion, Gilgamesh and sumerian or babylonian flood myths about Ziusudra, Utnapishti or Atra- Hasis. Except for having different gods, the narrations are clearly similar too, sometimes even in more details than a bible and the arabic quran.
Arabs of the 7th century were free to claim or believe whatever made them happy, it's irrelevant outside islam and has no bearing at all on any other narrations about Abraham. It matters only to muslims and people who believe Mohammed was really a prophet. Most people don't, so whatever he told was only what arabs claim in the 7th century, not more.

      Just use your mind:
Allah says: O People of the Book! Why do you argue about Abraham, while the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed until long after him? Will you not reason?
So Allah encourages to reason when you see this sentence in arabic افلا تعقلون grab a pen and start putting yourself in the place of the pepole that Allah is talking with, so it is not providing straight to the point information but pushing you to actually reason.
So Allah says knowledge you dispute on meaning what is in the Torah and Godspel, and what you have no knowledge of is what God did not reveale in the Torah and the Gospel, so why do you argue about what you have no knowledge of in the Torah or the Gospel and are not open minded.

Some Jews were ignorantly claiming that Abraham was upon their religion. Similarly, there were some Christians who were ignorantly claiming that Abraham was upon their religion. However, as the Quran states, this is obviously wrong because Abraham existed before these (Judaism and Christianity) religions were revealed, and this is according to the Jews and christians themselves. So obviously he could not be described as a Jew or Christian.

I wish you Guidance brother. Also the burning the Quran part, are you serious? Some dude burns a book that you hold at a very high place wouldnt you want want to beat him up? Like really do i walk around burning the bible or some other book just because I disagree with it? Whats wrong with clear instructions to burn it if something happens to it, for example if my younger brother colors over the entire Quran and no verse can be seen, Allah gives me the right to burn it very cleanly because then i cant read it, just a tiny example but Allah knows best. Also the part about the tone, dude are you for real? How about all the scientific miracles the Quran reveals, for example the development of the Embryo, isn't that the way of Allah showing how much knowledge he has. But ill state your arguemnt for you. Lets put ourselves in the place of the Kufar at Quraish, ok? Suddenly Allah reveals upon our propher Muhammad PBUH a masterpiece in literature that not 1 single human to this day has been able to replicate, if you say otherwise then you are not truthful at this point but i am willing to refute any argument you make, the Quran is a unique, miraculous piece of literature that was revealed in Mekkah where the biggest authors of arabic literature were there and even they couldnt replicate it, isnt this enough for them to show them that they were dealing with the a higher power with higher knowledge than theirs? Amina, do the research please. Do not just blindly believe what non-muslims post. And what about the verse:
Please, let me know if you have questions about any verse in the Quran.

No one is trying to educate you; I just said "do the research". Quran 2:256 "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong."
If you follow the bible, then -
John 14;6 - "[...] No one comes to the Father except through me." -
John 17;3 - The only true God is the Father, and Jesus, whom you have sent.
Deuteronomy 6;4 - "Hear, O Israel: The LORD , the LORD is one."
You may want to look for a verse in the Bible where Jesus explicitly said he's God or where he said "worship me". I can save your time, you won't find one.@@amina997

Islam means one who submits to God
Islam refutes Judaism and Christianity as they attribute Sons to God as you have shown in Q9:30
Therefore Islam does not take these religions as the truth, rather that they have been corrupted and changed of it's message,
This means that Ibrahim was not a believer that God has sons, because he didn't he relayed the message of one God
Thus by default, with the belief in One God, he submits to God, therefore by default he is Muslim.
Anyone before Islam was introduced, if they believed there was one God they are Muslim, just as how Adam is muslim because he submitted to God.
The Quran is the infallible word of God which is not like the Bible or Torah which were time bound to there era, and the Quran is timeless.
So this doesn't contradict it self by saying the Quran came out last so why should we beleieve you, because Abraham by defualt is muslim due to his submission of God
and he could not be a Jew or Christian because their beleifs created by mankind were not in his time, but rather Qurans teaching's of one God were.

Very few people have the degree of perspicacity that you do, Aladdin. The doctrine of Islam is founded upon psychological warfare i.e. the highest order of manipulation. In order to understand and experience narcissism in its essence, and appreciate how its powerful disposition can overwhelm and captivate the senses, read the Qur’an. It encapsulates the idiosyncrasies of a narcissist which comprise over entitlement, self-aggrandisement, egocentricity, lack of empathy, victimhood syndrome, persecution complex, gaslighting, solipsism, black & white dualistic thinking, false dilemmas, inconsistent judgments, disparaging remarks, disproportionate reactions, compulsive obsessions and an excessive need for admiration.
In other words, any person who exhibits these traits has a cluster of personality disorders. The major problem is that religious people call him God and venerate him. The laws that govern sane, rational behaviour are suspended when it comes to religion; the religious text is made exempt to the rule and God is given absolute immunity in the absence of sound justification. Blind devotion has been, and always will be, the death knell of a dispassionate appraisal.

My take on it would be this.

Musa, Isa or Ibrahim as imagined by moslems are not even considered historical by jews or christians, but merely parodies or reinventions of Moses, Jesus and Abraham by just arabs.
Outside islam only, Jesus was not even called a prophet by anyone ever, so only moslems from the 7th century or christian heretics before them could have addressed him like that.
Christians and jews never debated if Abraham was either in reality and they never had any reason to do so, therefore arabs must have invented that. Christians didn't give a shit for any claims or opinions of jews about Abraham regardless, unless the jews accepted Jesus as their Christ in the first place. Never happened.

I’m surprised at the comment section as well I was expecting more Muslims disagreeing 😭 half of the video he is saying that Prophet Muhammad pbuh is basically a hypocrite as he claims that Abraham is nor Jew or Christian because the revelations were after his time and so he can’t be Muslims either. But Muslim simply translates to “surrender” someone who believes and surrenders to God/Allah (same thing)- he is by definition a Muslim, Islam Christianity Judaism are all Gods religions he’s looking at it all wrong. If a Christian prays and believed in the oneness of God (that God is one and Jesus is a prophet) in Arabic he is classified as a Muslim- someone who surrenders to God only, they may call themselves a Christian. After all, every religion is from God and if you really follow the truth it doesn’t matter which religion you pick.
Second half he is demanding proof of “Allah knows and you do not know” .. everything in the Quran is based on believing that it is the truth you cannot find physical proof of anything in it until you believe that it is the truth then you realise everything you see or have is physical proof. There are also scientific links in the Quran but I won’t get into it. The Quran is very straight to the point yes and what’s wrong and right is very transparent. It does not just blame the devil for Muslims sins and every Muslim is aware that they will be judged by their deeds and sins not anyone else’s on judgement day so they’re accountable for their own actions in fact the human ego is seen as the other source of wrongdoings.
Everyone has their own faith journey and there are some points which can easily be misunderstood in the Quran due to context and the era the Quran was introduced in which can also be explained but these points 👎🏼. Also his biased vocabulary like “laughable” and mocking our God and religion (at the end especially) doesn’t align with his “I only speak facts use ur own logic” persona.

You've misunderstood those verses about Abraham/Ibrahim. Abraham was not a Jew [Judaism came after Jacob who was called Israel, and his sons]. Abraham has no connection to the Torah, which originates with Moses, who came later. Abraham, for obvious reasons, was not a Christian. In fact, even the disciples of Jesus were not Christians. Nobody was called Christian until much later in Antioch.
However, Abraham, as the verses of the Quran you cited state, was a submitter to Allah. What is one translation of the word Muslim? One who submits. Thus, Abraham was not a Jew or a Christian, but he was a Muslim. That is what the verses are conveying - not whether a particular book or religious dogma can lay claim to Abraham. Abraham was the father of all three religions, but the constant is that he submitted. He was Muslim. So was Jesus. So was Moses and so on. All submitted to Allah. Thus all were Muslims.

Apostate Aladdin mentions Quran 3:67 which states that Abraham was a مُّسْلِمًۭا (a true Muslim). This CONTRADICTS what Muhammad had said previously in Quran 39:12 [Quran not in chronological order] : “And I am commanded to be the FIRST of those who bow to Allah in Islam." (Quran 39:12). Such a contradiction is not surprising, since Muhammad did not have the best memory. Muhammad's wife, Aisha, recalls: Narrated: Aisha "The Prophet (SAW) heard a man (reciting Quran) in the Mosque, and he said, "May Allah bestow His Mercy upon him. No doubt, he made me remember such-and such Verses of such-and-such Sura which I dropped (from my memory)." [Sahih Bukhari, 3:823].
