Hi from Kentucky... Just ordered the Hcalory TB2 a day ago. Appreciate your video. I think this one seems to be the most Bang for the Buck, at the moment. Great Job!!👏
Im in the Uk, got 4 kids need to live on a budget, I have 2, one in the dining room which the missus drys the clothes in and then another into my sitting room. I use Red Diesel, turned off all the radiators downstairs. I’m saving money this way. Plus it’s heats a room pretty quick. This unit the guy is describing is called the Kroak toolbox 2 exactly the same unit.
tk you for your video . what i draw your attention to is the green fuel hose that are fitted to the units . a lot of people switch this out with a much stronger fuel hose . also a lad on youtube called " AndyFireblade " also does very good youtube videos on these heaters . we all learn from each other .
cant wait for the follow-up diesel consumption video your going to make. That right there will tell me whether or not this rig is for my workshop. Thanks @DIYJIM for the informative videos
Good review / video, to the point and no flapping around, nice one 🙂 * I Have have been running tests on my 2kwh heater on my live on boat which (not a metal canal boat but a fiberglass / wooden 60 year old beauty, a Colvic Northerner and only 30ft L x 8.5ft W ) I can keep at around 22 deg to 24 deg and heater uses around 2 to 2.5 litres over 24 hours. We have cheaper boat diesel than from the garage pump, it is dyed red and VAT exempt. Compared to my old 230v oil heaters I save when very cold up to £5 to £7 daily and only now use between 4 and 6 kwh in electrics now for small fridge, laptop, rather than 20kwh to 24kwh of costs at .35p a unit. so now around £1.40 for 24 hours on electrics and £2 on 24 hours heating. my fuel tank holds 5 litres, our gallons are equal to 4.5 litres and US gallons are smaller (don't know why? have never googled that) I do have 300w solar for 3w / 5w lights / usb / 12v for diesel heater with 230v 5amp charger used for start up and when no sun so no solar. *All figures are approx.
Canadian here and this might be a backup heating unit as long as I can store enough electric power to match it. It is a bit of conundrum, my home has natural gas heating, but the furnace needs so much electrical power for the burner, the fan and the controller that providing backup power for that isn't obvious. This could be just the 1-2-3 day backup so the house remains above freezing.
Great video, sorry you cut your thumb. I would believe the power use being very low, that’s why so many people love them for off grid use, they sip electricity except when starting or shutting down. When using the infrared temperature sensors, make sure you don’t point to a reflective surface, it gives strange readings. Spray a dark area on the exhaust pipe with some high temperature paint, then point your ir gun there to measure, your readings will be more accurate. Looking forward to your fuel tests.
Hang a black piece of metal in the hot air exhaust, the ir won't read properly on bare aluminum, measure the temperature of the black metal in the heat side pipe 👍
From n.e pa.also....great video! I want to mount in box of utv in shelter of some sort to keep snow and rain off,,,I want drill a hole in box and plumb exhaust under machine , before rear window ,machine exhaust would circle up in cab,now I get none inside,,,but with fresh air intake to heater, should I make that like a cold air return from cab so no chance of exhaust getting tucked in?
there are two intakes one intake for the burn chamber and it really would not hurt if a little exhaust got sucked in that one because it goes back out the exhaust. The other intake is for the air that gets distributed in the room. Hope this helps
I just ordered one should be here on Black Friday hopefully! I’m concerned about the fuel tank being on top of the heater. Anyway, you can check that temperature? And is there a plate separating them? It looks like? UPDATE: There definitely is a plate separating the fuel tank and heater. This thing is awesome so far. Dry warm heat. I’m working on a trailer in 10 degrees F weather and it can keep my half insulated (so far) 6x14 enclosed trailer above 70 F and condensation free. At level 3 it was maintaining 63 F . The lid has no gasket. Diesel leaks a bit around the lid with transport.
On a 5 litre tank of fuel @2.2hrz mine uses one 5 litre tank in 24 hrs . After start up it's using 0.8 of an amp ! I'm good with a 100ah Lithium ion phosphate battery for about 4 days if I don't turn it on and off ! I'm setting up a 5 gallon tank of fuel so I don't have to re-fuel each day ! Waiting on the sending unit from China ! Lol !

Hello from Carbon county PA. Thanks for the informative video…
I have a vevor 8 kw heater in my snowmobile trailer haven't used it much but it does help melt ice on the roof. I live in northern New Hampshire.
Thanks for watching
I'm looking forward to this review big time..I'm in ny..big house..need options instead of running 1500 watt heater for a room.
Thanks for watching, I hope the information is helpful.
정말 좋은 제품입니다 저두 구입하여 사용중입니다

I thought that when I was taking temperature readings. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for watching
You should get a TOPTES PT199 to test for hydrocarbon emissions. Unburned fuel, etc.
I have one in my next video. Thanks for watching
Hermitage TN. Outside nashville
Awesome thanks for watching
What brilliant designer thought having exhaust and heater output on same side? Makes its a no go for me.
I agree, but theses heaters are not normally set up the way I set it up. Thanks for watching
Hang a black piece of metal in the hot air exhaust, the ir won't read properly on bare aluminum, measure the temperature of the black metal in the heat side pipe 👍
Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that in my next video.
@@DIYJIM check it on the black exterior of the pipe vs a piece of black painted metal hanging in the airstream, they should be similar temps
You have a link for the C02meter? Thanks.
Carbon Monoxide detector amzn.to/4fpR0xM
This unit will run just over 50:02 hours on a full tank, on low setting. And 16:40 on highest setting. Sherburn Outdoors already did a test video.
Mine doesn't

The combustion air intake should draw air from outside of the building.
Thanks for watching

the coupon code doesn't work
I’ll have to look into it thanks. Sorry

Seeing the general public soo dependant on apps is disappointing for me.. they have an app for nearly everything.
Agree it’s crazy thanks for watching
Now to sell my old one version 1
I think I like the smaller one better, it fits better by my window. Thanks for watching
😂Why the hell does the exhaust pipe and the hot air tube come out of the same side? Seems a bit awkward.
I agree but I guess it depends on what you use it for. I like my smaller one better.
@ either way, thanks for the review and all the info. I appreciate you making these videos. Subbed👍🏼
@ thanks for subscribing
Not worth $200.00+ when you can buy a Gearzaar that offers all the same features for $100.00+ in a traditional heater setup. 🤨
Thanks for watching maybe you are right but it is a nice heater. Thanks for watching
