One of my biggest keyboard musical influences......The legendary David Paich!!!!
You were Toto's leader. You gave them the reason to keep on.
You are greater than you think David
I agree, it required the whole band to orchestrate the magic of TOTO
He worked Toto hard but it paid off@@livingsurvivor007
David is something else. But its the sum of all parts that make Toto what Toto is. Through the tragic loss of two amazing musicians the managed to continue making incredible music, and it was all because they are equally talented and incredible and there's no ego.
It is great to see him playing again. I went to Chaminade College Prep with David. I found him to be very personable and easy to perform with. In 1972 before we graduated he was already doing work for various artists. When we were coming close to graduation he took it upon himself to produce a senior concert with the best musicians and vocalists he could find in the graduating class. I was fortunate that he asked me to sing a song.. So I sang CYSN's "Long Time Gone" and he was kind enough to play backing piano for me. To this day I am thankful I performed with him.
I have heard that he got the idea for 'Africa' after speaking with one of the priests at the school. about what Africa was like doing missionary work. I'm guessing that was one of our class members who had become a priest.
Est il marié ? En tout cas il a une voix magnifique. Très grand groupe TOTO avec les frères PORCARO à l epoque. ( PARIS 28 Avril 2024)
We are so blessed to still have some incredible musicians that can play
Paich is an amazing writer, player, all around musician- and seems like a cool dude
Toto, always in my playlist. To sir David Paich, I am pretty sure those hands are insured. One of the best piano player in the music industry and a great singer/song writter. Your musical contribution is priceless.
Very cool. Now I know the correct voicings.
Love you Paichy!!
Genius
He plays so effortlessly. Natural talent!
Beautiful. More of this please! Thank you David.
That 99 piece sounded really amazing!!
That song is underrated af. Toto in general is as well.
The Critics slaughtered Toto then left them alone by the IV album
Didn't you notice there is a second person playing the passing notes/progressions?
No Dave's playing it all by himself.
@@timmetjuh070 Thank you Sir, it's nice to meet another actual musician who can decipher note for note progression and intervals!
Yeah. That's a lot of hardware sitting on that piano. I've only seen and held 1 Grammy award in my life. He's got 6 and an Emmy award. That's pretty amazing.
Outstanding.
I wish he had kept writing the majority of Toto's songs. They were in good hands with his songs.
True. A genius with his piano riffs
They was but all of the band members brought something to the table which he's proud of.
The producer gets the credit after hearing what I just heard.
Thanks to these short videos I can finally know how to play these songs correctly 😂
I so wish you were still touring w/ the band!
Just saw them in Salina KS. Very good show but miss your presents!
Africa, Pamela, Hold The Line, 99, Rosanna! ❤️
I wish to be there with a fine fine🍷 wine listening to those fine tunes all day..! Thank you DAVID…!!! Toto Fan Forever..!!!
Love it! All!
One of the greatest.
Toto's Leader and Mastermind.
i still love toto till today since 1980......

OMG 99 is such an underrated song!!❤
Wow, thank you very much.
David paich uno dei migliori tastieristi al mondo
What a joy! I could listen to him run through his songs all day long. Of course, it could take years to get through them all. Thanks so much for the music, David.

David's first solo album "Forgotten Toys" came out last year (with assist from Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams). Check it out!
EL genio e interpretación de David Paich a su edad es inconfundible. Siempre disfrutaré su música y conocer su historia además de escuchar a la mejor Gran banda musical de los '70 ,80 Toto
david great songs and you are the great keys guy in toto hope you continue to play!!!!!!
a real Music God!!!! Master Paich inspired so many musicians around the world for decades, through different generations (my parents, me and my children sing Africa, as ever lasting song, each one Toto’s fan independently, lol)
No one does rock keyboards like David Paich.
Love during Hold the Line, Jeff opens the hi- hat “hold the line……love isn’t always on time (opens hi- hat). I know to some it don’t mean much, but I thinks it’s genius. Jeff was like a machine
Thank you!!
O cara e um gênio 😂👏👏👏👏👏👏
I hope he does another medley of Toto songs like, Child's Anthem, Manuela Run, Mama, Lovers In The Night etc.
99 broke my heart ❤
Bravissimo david... mi sarebbe tanto piaciuto conoscerti
Ele é incrível adoro essa música ( Pamela )
Dios los bendiga por tan hermosa música. Un enorme abrazo desde Colombia
He's playing the Kalimba part on Africa like Greg Phillinganes did.
genius

africa, pamela, hold the line, 99, rosanna
All stuff from the eighties. 😉
@@funklover24 Except for Hold The Line, from 1978 and 99, from 1979
@@steveswell1 Oops, you're right. 😉
@@funklover24 I'm a Toto nut these days...LOL Going to see them with Journey in April :)
@@steveswell1 Good choice! You'll have a lot of fun! Heard them last july and they were great. 😆🤝
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Makes me wanna live inside of a piano! 😜
❤
What I noticed (as a piano player) is that his piano cover and music stand is permanently in the closed position and staged with pictures and decorations. Sheet music anyone? Nah- that’s for amateurs! His ear and memory must be so incredibly sharp to create and remember all his great works!
Even with the lid closed the sound of the strings and hammers etc is very clear. The best piano he played was his Baldwin SD10.
I wouldn’t call all those Grammys decorations.
😎🗡️👍👍🥰

I think the media hated Toto, just because their music was too good. If you ask me it was envy

Lovely playing… but a tuner needed on the first piano!
Sounds like it's in a cafe or similar😁
Good ear! I noticed that too!
@@davidadamsmusic thanks ;)
I feel sorry for you guys that think his playing is good. The producer made that record.
The second one is Pamela my favorite toto song.
