- At age 39, I didn't know if I had it in my to restart my career. I was all over the place but I knew I wasn't happy. It was up to me and myself alone to make the decision to up and leave my job and go after my passion. I hope these words don't fall on deaf ears and, regardless of what you want to do with your life, my only wish is that it's not a meaningless one.

I'm very new to photography and have a way to go before pursuing it as a profession but that's my goal. Thank you for this. ❤️
It’s because of comments like these and people like yourself that I decided to strip back the layers and open up. I’ve always said that the only time it’s late for anything is if you’re dead. You’re obviously not yet so I encourage you to dig deep and figure out a way to make it happen; I’m here if you need some guidance.

@@TheMickeyBloo it seems as though you have a positive mindset that it can be done; I’m happy my words didn’t fall on deaf ears. That was the first step for me: knowing I wasn’t where I wanted to be. Acknowledging that as a fact was the turning point for me to take the plunge. My recommendation is to not burn the bridge until you’re on the other side; in other words, find something “remedial” that can get you by until you can establish yourself as a photographer.

I appreciate you stopping by. It could’ve been better and I actually wanted to reshoot it using a guided script and a teleprompter but I feel it would’ve lost its authenticity. Thanks for following my journey.

There’s the age old debate of whether or not money can buy happiness and never do we think that we landed on that question ourselves.

So I'm building myself up until I can quit. And searching for another job in the meanwhile.
It's a process but I'm a believer. 🤓
@@ElusiveFrame o felt that way too for five years…until I said: “Enough.” It was no way to live, no kind of life.
I did basically the same thing but I created my opportunity instead of waiting for it. I now have a part-time gig as a content creator which covers immediate expenses and everything else is for investing and saving.
Try to go that route!

Thank you for this video @Francis Alvarez , this brought me comfort. I also made the decision to leave my Software job about a month ago in hopes of going after what I love to do: photography. I'm currently working on my website to showcase my portfolio & I hope this can get my foot in the door. I'm not going to lie, sometimes the anxiety of not having that steady stream of income does bite me. But seeing stories like yours, gives me hope that success is possible if you just keep working towards it. Thanks again man, your video gives us strength when we're feeling weak

Just out of curiosity: what do you shoot and are you full-time now as well?
@@FranciscoAlvarezTV yeah, I am a full time now. I picked up my first camera only one year ago at age 32. I have also done many different jobs before finally deciding to start my own video company.
@@kapilesh14 good for you, man! Proof it's never too late to pursue what you've always wanted. What was the deciding factor that made you pull the trigger? In other words, what was it that ultimately made you go full-time?
@@FranciscoAlvarezTV it's like this, the society doesn't encourage or even spread awareness about being an entrepreneur in the education system. Not only that, you are not so confident or assured to take those bold steps yourself. It only happens when you have that creative and independent spirit lurking inside and you meander through lifeless soulless jobs for a long time, that you finally stumble upon the stuff that you really dig. My career path is so varied in such short time that it sometimes make me laugh. But now I am completely settled in my mind despite the fact that all my family members doesn't regard creative work very highly. most of the Corporate jobs can be considered as graveyards of human individuality and sense of wonder.
this is a very inspiring man ... i am 35 years old now and i have been in my line now for 10 years but haven been passionate about photography so i m trying to learn as much now to make the change
I knew that if I had this effect on just ONE person, making the video would’ve been worth it.
