Quit my corporate job to become a professional photographer. (Take it slow, but start now)

I'm not sure how many of you know my story... as in, how I became a professional photographer. I never studied photography at school or university, there are no photographers in my family and I spent a great deal of my life working a 9-5 job in the corporate world.
I moved into professional photography completely on my own. And the thing is... I wasn't even a "talented" photographer at the time, I learnt how to create beautiful imagery with practice.
