If you love ALL the fun details and back story...keep reading.
In my years of working for companies like United Healthcare and Hagerty where I was the most requested instructor, I determined the quickest way to pass the state licensing insurance exam.
My method is to focus on the most tested topics for all four state licensing exams (Property & Casualty, and Life & Health) and knowing and understanding the most tested topics instead of memorizing practice exam questions. (Tip: You should not be doing quizzes or practice exams very much and if you are- STOP. The questions in your course will not be the same questions on your exam.)
Knowing and understanding the material will serve you far better than multiple hours doing practice questions, which is why my class series packages (see link below) have seriously become a GAME CHANGER for securing that pass!
I get numerous messages each day from delighted students who passed their test after watching my videos and taking my courses that explain how to pass the Property & Casualty and Life & Health state insurance exams in the simplest of terms.
I would love to help you secure your pass!

I'm also a visual learner so this helps more than you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank You Sara!!! I love working with you!! You're so fun!!
I honestly did not think I was going to be cut out for insurance because it was so hard putting the pieces together through my study guide. Having no background in the realm of insurance, there were just so many terms and words that I didn't know. I truly did not feel confident in my abilities, but I am so glad I found your videos. I am a 2nd year teacher making a career change, and I really cannot begin to thank you for all of your videos and ability to TEACH me!! Thank you!!!!!
YES!!!! YOU GOT THIS!
I left school teaching myself!
@@insuranceexamqueen Thank you!! I’m trying really hard. I just bought the Gold Royal treatment to help me in conjunction with my readings!
@@insuranceexamqueen I also know you get so many questions, but I’m afraid to skip pages, because I’m afraid it will be on my test, but I get so overwhelmed with all the readings. I’ve been at a standstill at Commercial lines and haven’t been able to keep reading, like I planned. I look at the amount of pages and I become almost paralyzed by it all… I am taking my KS P&C May 27th. 😅
I just want to say that because of you breaking down everything the way you did I passed my exam. I thank you so so so so much!!!! THANK YOUUU 💜
YAY! CONGRATULATIONS!!! And thank you for coming to tell me that!! 😍😍
You really have a talent for teaching. I’m am so happy to have found your videos. You explain it so well in basic English. Thank you so much!

Yes! I am so glad they are helpful!!
I am studying for the CFP and for some reason this was one of the more difficult concepts (I'm not a homeowner myself) and your videos have been massively helpful.
That is great to hear! I have not heard much feedback of people studying for their CFP with my content so that is amazing!
This is the best channel! I love the color coding and visual clues, lists, clear explanations. 10/10 from top to bottom! Doing amazing work, thank you so much!
Thank you!
Love your mnemonics. Really helping this dry info stick. Thank youuuuuu!

Hello, I am studying for my New Hampshire P&C exam. Great videos!
Hello! I am Melissa, the Insurance Exam Queen.
Read this message to know what’s important for your state exam, what you should focus on as you study, how you should study, and how I can help you secure a passing score on your exam!
I have helped thousands of people pass their insurance licensing exam. Companies from United Healthcare to Hagerty have requested that I be their instructor for all their new hires in order to secure a pass as quickly as possible.
During my years of working for them, and securing high pass rates, I was able to determine the quickest and fastest way to pass the exam.
My method is to focus on the most tested topics, and knowing and understanding the most tested topics instead of memorizing practice exam questions.
You should NOT be doing quizzes or practice exams very much and if you are- STOP. The questions in your course will not be the same questions on your exam.
Knowing and understanding the material will serve you far better than multiple hours doing practice questions which is why my class series recordings make such a difference and why I have over 140 5-Star Reviews on my Google Business Page.
My teaching style is very casual, I keep things simple, I use memorization techniques, and I create a lot of charts and graphs as visuals to help you understand the material.
Below, I have written up what is most important for your state exam, and where you should spend your time during your studies.
The major things to know are General Insurance, PC Basics, Dwelling, Homeowners and Auto. These categories require memorization of names, amounts, some math, and a working understanding of how this type of insurance works.
General Insurance is the foundational chapter and when you know it well, it helps with all the other chapters. Most states will range in how much this chapter is tested typically being around 5% to 10%, but since it’s the foundation for all else, you want to be decent in knowing these terms, especially anything related to contract law. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a General Insurance Terms Class.
PC Basics is one of the most important chapters and can be up to 20% of the state exam. This chapter covers Policy Structure, Policy Provisions, and lots of definitions. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a PC Basics Class.
Dwelling and Homeowners can seem difficult to understand but after I break them down in my Royal Treatment Class Series, you’ll see how easy you can get a lot of points in these chapters. You want to focus on policy names, policy coverages and amounts, which are named or open peril. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Dwelling and Homeowners Class.
There are also math questions related to Property Policies, but you never quite know if you’ll get 0 or 5 questions with math. It won’t break you to fail every math question if you are strong in other areas, but it certainly helps to be prepared for them and I teach them very simply. The math on the exam requires a memorization of insurance rules, coverage amounts, an equation to learn and input into a calculator (most every state allows calculators). All my Royal Treatment Class Series include math examples.
Now, in most states you do not need to know Commercial Policies to be able to pass, but it’s great to have some working knowledge to secure points in that chapter. If you're taking personal lines, you don't need commercial at all and can skip this paragraph. If you’re in Alabama, you definitely need commercial as it’s 26% of your exam! Commercial is hundreds of pages worth of study and content and you don’t need to know it all. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include a Commercial Class that tells you what to focus on with my Gold Series having the most extensive commercial videos including CGL, Workers Comp and Bonds. If you’re taking the Personal Lines exam, you do not need to know any Commercial Policies.
For Auto insurance, you’ll get tested on both Personal Auto and Commercial Auto. Personal Auto is easier, so make that your biggest focus. Memorize the Parts of an Auto Policy, how they respond in an accident and definitions like Split limit and Per occurrence. All my Royal Treatment Class Series include an Auto Class that tells you what to focus on.
Lastly, you want to be really decent in state law. Most state exams will have this chapter at around 20% or more of the exam. While every state is different and has different numbers, you need to know which numbers are important, and which things you should memorize from this chapter. I teach that information in my insurance regulations classes which are included in all my Royal Treatment Class Series.
So in short, Get My Royal Treatment Class Series of Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum all come with 100 days access.

Hi Melissa, I've been watching your videos, I love how you explain the materials. Im in California Studying for my life exam. I really want to take the exam this month and pass it the first time. There are seventy five questions, I only need forty five right to pass. So on the exam general insurance is 30%? Life insurance is 65%. And life policy writers is only 5%. I'm a little slow at are your suggestions that I do before the exam. Thanks again,

Below, I have written up what is most important for your state exam, and where you should spend your time during your studies.
The easiest and most tested chapters are General Insurance, Life Basics, Life Provisions, Term vs Whole, Annuities, and State Law and I cover all of these in my Royal Treatment Class Series.
General Insurance is the foundational chapter and when you know it well, it helps with all the other chapters. Most states will range in how much this chapter is tested typically being around 5% to 10%, but since it’s the foundation for all else, you want to be decent in knowing these terms, especially anything related to contract law.
Life Basics is also known as completing the app and it’s all about the application process an agent goes through when selling a policy as well as the basics of life insurance.
Next up are provisions. Provisions are things that kind of set the rules for how policies work and a good amount of them are simply definitions, and many do require memorization of numbers. Provisions also tends to be one of the largest chapters on all state exams, sometimes even up to 25% or more of the exam is just on provisions.
While you will learn in your studies all about the various life policies, they love to test you on Term Vs Whole and the differences between them more than other life policies.
Annuities which are actually the opposite of life insurance requires mostly knowing all the definitions, Annuitant, Annuitization, Accumulation, etc.
Right now, I have three options for the Royal Treatment Life and Health and both come with 100 Day Access.
My Sliver Life and Health Series(just skip the health videos) will cover a simple review of the most tested topics across all states.
My Gold Life and Health Series(just skip the health videos) will cover an in depth review of the most tested topics across all states. Plus you’ll get Silver as well.
Personal Platinum is Gold+ Silver + the ability to talk to me daily as you study in Group Tutoring Telegram Group, it’s like having me on speed dial! Additionally, as part of Platinum you get to attend all classes I host for Life and Health for free during your 100 days access. Yes!! Thank you!!
Great information 👍!
Thank you!
Youre awsome! Appreciate you!
Thank you!!
Thank you sooo much for this. I have had EVERYTHING memorized for my exam except for the homeowners policy stuff.
Dwelling policy? Cake. Homeowners policy? Not cake... I guess I get confused between the different coverages for Dwelling policies vs homeowner policy coverages.
Because... coverage D is fair rental use for dwelling? but not for homeowners? and coverage E is like, for when you need to go to a hotel when your home is unlivable? idk, I gotta keep studying. its the only thing confusing me!
Yes the coverages change at coverage D. On Dwelling, D is Fair Rental and E is additional living. On Homeowners, D is Loss of Use which includes both fair rental value and additional living.
@@insuranceexamqueen Thanks for the clarification! I somehow managed to drill everything about the Homeowners policy into my brain and I passed my exam a few hours ago. Woohoo!
@@Sanikirang YAY!!
U are awesome
Thank you!! This helping a lot! But, i have a question! Are you the lady from ExamFx?
Lol Yes I am!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Hello queen!! I failed my test, on my way to my third attempt.
I remember a question regarding Cov D... How much is the limit $$ for coverage D? I know there's a limit for 2 weeks, but is there a deductible or a limit talking about $$.. ?
The limit for coverage D is going to be 30% of whatever coverage A is. The two weeks is only for civil authority making you evacuate.
Great videos, is the 10% coverage to other structures always in addition to the dwelling coverage? Lets say the property that is covered for $100,000 burns down along with the storage shed on the back yard which is covered for a 10% is that mean the insurer will pay the insured 110,000?
Yes, EXCEPT for a DP1-Basic Policy.
@@insuranceexamqueen I hope you're doing great, I wanted to share with you that I started to follow your channel for just the past two weeks and I was able to passed my Texas exam today. What’s the name of the license
You would need a property and casualty license in order to sell homeowners insurance.
Thank you - But you should post links to your other videos in your video. If you are doing coverages, so then please post links of other videos - coverage A, Cov b,c,d,& e in your coverage summary video itself, so we can switch from here directly to other linked videos. Coz your coverage C, D E, F are nowhere to be found.
Also, when you label your videos, instead of labeling "pass your exams coverage home owners" , please bring the topic to the beginning "Insurance Coverage A Summary, pass your insurance exam.
Coz we see pas you exam, pass your exam, pass your exam in all your video titles - does not make sense and searches resulting are confusing.
YOU HAVE A GREAT TEACHING SKILL, BUT PLEASE ADD LITTLE MORE DETAILS & SPECIFIS OR amounts, criteria, conditions, etc
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS AS CONSTRUCTIVE ADVISE NOT CRITICISMS
Hope you understand.
