If they haven't already tried it, why not give Lilith a chance to go on their walks too? She gets to have adventures with dad, gets rid of her excess energies and stops taking out her frustration on mum. Just a suggestion!

My husband’s parents had this amazing Korat cat, which originates in Thailand, I believe. His name was Saisabot, but they mainly called him Sai. He was very affectionate and he insisted on regular walks with his kitty harness. He would actually beg for it, and when a family member would grab the leash, he would stand stock-still with his feet planted far apart to ease the putting on of the harness. It was incredible. Any and all of my family cats would plop over on their side in protest,😂
Edit: Hubby reminded me that Sai basically to his HUMAN for a walk, actually. They found it difficult to keep up with him!! We miss him still, even though the last time we got to see him before he passed was in 1983.

We had a tabby/calico mix that was similar. You would see variations in the coloring within her tabby stripes. She also was a very opinionated, confident cat. RIP Ms. Sassy(pants) 16 years with her, from 7 weeks old.

Tiny animals are just too damned cute. It triggers our parental impulses and that's that. It's how we got our cat too, he jumped through our front door, hid under a bed...and then fell asleep. Now he is my wife and daughter's snuggle buddy. Good luck to you all, god bless you and yours!
I don't think I have ever seen a cat with such a sweet temperament. You can tell this couple takes exceptional care of their fur babies 💖💖.
My Trixie has a similar temperament and interesting also has very similar coloring as Lilith as well. Might have something to do with the kind of cats they are.

Charles Dickens once said "What greater gift than the love of a cat" and I think it's true. I love how all cats have a genuinely distinct and different personality... even the ones that are just pure affection. I love all fluffy animals, but cats are and always will be my favorite ones.

I rescued a totally blind tortoise feral kitten where I worked at the time 9 years ago. She grew up and is so smart. Unfortunately me and my ex girlfriend broke up a year later and " Blind Kitty " has lived with my ex. But is doing great. I moved back to Florida and rescued 2 other feral kittens and one is a half blind female both doing great but my Border Collie has never cared for the cats like some dogs do.
Agreed. Me and the husband took in a stray tortie almost a year ago and she acts and sounds exactly Lilith. If my mine wasn't as fluffy the two would almost be indistinguishable. XD
My vet says all torties are “sassy”. He’s right. We had 2. And there’s Lilith. Lucky Lilith to have found such an awesome family. ❤
She wants to go out for a walk with the dogs!!! She's mad that the dogs get to go outside and she doesn't. Lovely kitty. She deserves all the cuddles and treats.

Thank you both for your kindness. She loves you both. Her body language towards you shows trust, and love. It’s just different to your partner. Cats don’t interact with a person, especially in a verbal way, unless they trust them. Watching her the way she comes to you. She loves you. 🐈🇦🇺🐾💗

She’s a Torti. It’s called tortitude. We have a Torti we rescued 4 years ago and the tortitude is real.
Note to rescuers: cats/kittens hitch rides under the hood of vehicles so when you find them in parking lots and on freeways you may need to expand the search area for their family.
True but not really in the spirit of the story. Also she was so tiny she could have been dumped. I know when my cat went missing I put posters up and now with social media it's easier than it was. So all they did was give a baby a home. I say your animals pick you anyway. I have a stray who's picked me. I tried to find where he came from but he was so skinny and had a too tight collar on his neck I hoped that the people who'd had him weren't looking for him. Now he's a big healthy boy, who gets neutered soon.

She’s one of the pack and needs to participate on the walks without a leash. I’ve had cats who would follow in the bushes and by our side, but never strayed.
She’s extremely intelligent, as she is beautiful with her or markings .

However she might actually Not be mad but instead happy that you stayed inside with her vs going outside with the dog! Hilarious conclusion that she leaves husband alone and takes it out on you. Brown tabbies tend to extremely gentle and have very deep personalities. I have a brown tabby boy I rescued and he's very much like this. You can play finger games with him under the door and all you'll feel are his paw pads. He goes out of his way to not hurt you.

So funny that she picked your guy as her own 😂 My male cat is very territorial when it comes to me. Whenever my husband comes into the bed my cat jumps in the middle 😂 He’s like- You need my permission before you can touch her. And he only lets my husband touch him if there is food involved. Thank goodness our dog loves her Daddy so much, it helps him feel less left out of my cat adventures 😊🐶🐱
I can relate, we have a rescue who loves my husband but won't let me pet her, glares at me except when I give her a treat at night. We had kitties who were my babies so I don't take it so personal as I did when we first got Missy.

@Anny J I live on a second story with three flights of stairs. I hook my cats up to their harnesses & leashes, hold onto their leads until before going through the last door where I swap out their leashes for their leads then attach their leashes to the end of their leads. I ask them ”ready Freddy?”, receive very excited choruses of kitty ”let me out now!" voices, and out we go! However, I'm really lucky, I live in a rather small city and reside in a rental building which is incredibly on quite a big (for a "city") patch of land. So thankfully once we go through that last door, we step outside onto a porch then have a few yards to choose from as I would never take them anywhere near the road ever. In the hopes they know to avoid the street should something ever happen, I even make them stop and "look" both ways with me before letting them cross our driveway to go to our favorite yard on the property. Perhaps if you don't have a yard maybe there is some sort of park you could transport them to? Just trying to be helpful as I know how sad it can be to want to bring your cats outside but feel like you can't. Best of luck!! :)

If you play with Lilith with wand toys, or whatever is her favorite toy and if you exclusively feed her she may bond more with you. Experts are learning that cats really love to play with their owners and they actually thrive on it so please try that...Also..talk really high pitched baby talk to her...cats love that too! She , being a tortoiseshell cat, has a different personality as you said, than most cats but I think if you try to engage with her with play; she will grow to love you more. Cats really need exercise much more than people realize! She is such a beautiful cat! You are so fortunate to find her and to give her such a loving home!!

Henry is like my Harley cat. He is also a rescue (from the woods). He just likes to be near people and loves all the affection. I let him inside in the morning, and he will wait for me to greet him before snacking out.

I agree with other people on here get her a harness and let her explore outside and Mum you hold the lead and she may come to you more. We have two cats which are indoor cats but we do put them on a lead from time to time and let them explore in the garden. I wish you and your furry family a lifetime of happiness x

She’s so adorable( all the pets are too) , we eventually got a leash and harness , for our cats and it took a while for them to accept it and that way I could take theM on walks and they love it now and it helps get energy out too ❤! !!
