My neighbors call me the "crazy animal lady." I consider it an honor to be called that. You should be too. Your patience, love and devotion is worthy of admiration.
In my profession I visit alot of homes. When I go to "crazy animal ladies" house- Everything always takes twice as long, and I find it hard to concentrate on my job. My spirit however is always lifted. :) Best wishes.
That's alright dear, you're not alone. I've been called with many names too in a harsh way just to humiliate me in public. I've been rescuing dogs and cats for many years and I am not regret for doing it. #Lifecompleteandfullwithlove
I am a cat mom with 12 indoor cats (10 of which I caught when they were little) and I had also found homes for some of the other kittens. I also take care of about 14 ferals all fixed now. I have one holdout that won't let me pet her, I tell her daily "Lila one day you will let me pet you".
I have a fare cat that lives under my bedroom window in the bushes. I named her Kiki long ago! So this video has so much meaning to me. I have been feeding her every afternoon tons of food. Just last week she actually came to my window on the other corner of my bedroom as I was opening it for air and she meowed for food. I ran to the kitchen and fixed her food. I used to feed her mother and and I called her mother kiki. So when I saw this baby grown up come back to my home I called her kiki too. I did deworm her with her food but I want to take her for shots and get flea and tick prevention on her that lasts three month. So I keep trying to get her to come close but I am too old to stay outside and sit for long periods due to pain. We dont have a feral cat rescue so I don't know what to do except keep trying.
Two beautiful souls who found each other! Kiki taught Amber the importance of respecting boundaries, earning trust, patience, and perseverance. And Amber is giving Kiki all the love she deserves.😻

I agree, the best place to have them is inside. There are SO MANY bad things waiting outside for cats, including them and their curiosity. Lasting 10 years outside alone is quite an accomplishment, but she's still safer inside. When I have cats, they NEVER go outside. I make sure they have a window with a nice view to look out on, but they never go out. I know sometimes they want to, and I want to give them what they want, but their safety is what is most important to me.
I found my life partner in 2002, and then we adopted our beautiful, rescue daughter (kitty) Lili on May of 2012, when she was only 8 months old. She will be 12 years old this year, and is our love and pride and joy. Basically she is our life ❤

This is exactly what happened with our Josie. She was a feral we started feeding in the summer. It took six months for me to hand feed her. We live in Canada so one cold winter night in December we brought her in. That was 4 years ago and she hasn’t left. She’s a beautiful long haired torti and so very loving.

Thank you to this lovely lady for her diligence and patience. Kiki now knows what it is to be loved...food, shelter, and love are demonstrations of it.
She's a happy girl now! Flopping! Biscuits! Drooling! Happy floofy tail! Kitties form their own "families" when out on their own and they look out for each other as well as play together. Her tuxie friend is an example of that and it wants some of this too! Kiki's enticing her tuxie pal to adopt you just like she did. Anyway, congratulations on getting adopted by Kiki. Both she and her tux friend can share her safe little hideaway you built for her.
Oh my god, it's the cutest thing ever that she brought her cat friend with her after she knew that they would be safe there. Thank you for your patience and kindness. ❤ I'm constantly worried about all the animals in the winter and during heavy storms, and it feels good to know that there are other people too who care.
Hooray for crazy cat ladies !!!!! I am glad that there a bunch y’all are around all over the place and looking after cats and kittens that need help. I am proud to know people like you. You gave her love, affection, care and attention that she really needed. A sad story but a happy ending. No living person or creature should live an entire life without love and because of her kindness this cat doesn't have to.🐈😻
There was nothing "silly" about crying when she touched her tail. It took 2 years of effort and patience. Extraordinary. She is a remarkable lady. I'm glad the kitty has somewhere safe to go, and a guardian watching over her.

@@EvilTheOne You're lucky, I wish I could have just 1. I had a little Pekingese that was my heart, my mom gave him to me as a little puppy when I was in high school and he was with me for the next 12 years. When I lost him, it really hurt me, and that was over 10 years ago now. I have major social issues and don't really have any friends, I can't form bonds with people but I had one with him, so when I lost him I lost a lot more than a friend, I lost all of my friends. Now that I'm ready to have another one, I can't and it sucks. It won't stay this way forever though, I know that, I just have to be patient.
Congratulations on winning Kitty over. I totally understand everything you have done to win her trust and be able to pet her. I have a stray that I named Sweetheart and I have been feeding her every day for almost a year. She finally has gotten the courage to come within 2 to 3 feet of me when I go out in the morning to put warm water and food in her shelter I made for her. It's a blessing
She has definitely chosen her human now and it was wonderful to see. I think I'd cry if I went through all that too. Thanks for sharing these amazing video.
Nothing wrong being a cat lady especially when you are a caring loving and beautiful cat lady. This story touched me deeply. This fur baby is adorable and gentle and sweet. She deserves every bit of TLC you provide her. You have earned her trust which is amazing and inspiring.🙏👍❤️😘😻 Thank you so much for your heart of gold! 🙏😻❤️
I don’t think that anyone who’s put time & effort into earning a cat’s trust would consider it weird that this lovely woman cried when Kiki finally let her stroke her. I clearly remember the first time Charlie, one of my rescue boys, climbed into my lap for a fuss - he & his brother had been badly treated in their first home & as a result were terrified of everyone & everything. But following the rescue charity’s advice about time & patience and most importantly letting them come to me in their own time worked like magic. And it did take some time, and YES, I did cry a little when Charlie trusted me enough to seek attention from me! Nearly 14 years on & they’re my constant shadows. Anyone considering adopting, there are so many shy/withdrawn cats who get overlooked at rescues……but they are 100% worth that bit of extra time.
Please don’t get her any shots. She is just fine, trust me. Just leave her as she is. You earned her trust and you are now blessed. I would do the same. Much love x
I would love a cat like that how fortunate you are And look how pretty is she you know there are a lot of jelious people in this world and so ignore all of it and enjoy the friendship you have with YOUR very pretty cat…😊❤
Amber gives me hope for this world. Her devotion and love for Kiki is just the best. Getting a cat like Kiki to trust you shows exactly what kind of person Amber is - an Earth Angel 💞💕💗
This story touched me so much, I couldn't stop crying..and crying some more.. I relate so much to the cat mom, I feel so the same and I LOVE the fact that Kiki finally got to experience love and kindness, how it feels to be looked after, cared for and have that loving bond with a human that truly cares for her..I wish I could do it for all of the strays out there who have to fend for themselves without anyone caring for them. Thank you Amber with all my heart for being such an angel to Kiki and her friend❤❤❤
WONDERFUL! Thank you for what you've done for her, but please do try to get her to a competent vet as soon as possible, YOU'RE A WONDERFUL PERSON FOR HELPING HER!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I'm currently in a similar situation. I've rescued an older kitty gal who I found under my car the first week I moved into my current home. I didn't realize how much affection and love I would have for her as I fed her for nearly 9 months daily (as well as the other community kitties, but who are young and all over the place). She's in my home now, slowly getting used to indoor life and getting ready to be adopted out. She's a purr machine and begs for pets. I encourage anyone to be like this woman and befriend neighborhood cats (or any other wildlife, but with caution of course). They are such a joy. Kudos to this woman for all the work and patience she has done to create this bond.
She looks so much like my chocolate torte Siamese cat that she has to be at least part. We adopted Sugar from a rescue in 2008, and she's still going strong. It takes time to get some animals to accept anybody, whether you're feeding them or not. I'm so happy to see you stuck with it. You're a truly special person. Thank you for doing this and sharing your story.
Bless your patience and commitment. Some cats need time. I noticed in the past when working at a shelter we were told that all feral cats, like barn cats, can never be domesticated. I noticed some of them were happy for human affection and care. Thank you for staying the course.
Love your & KiKis story❣️ I brought most all the neighborhood stray babies into my house 12/20. Dash was one of those. Yesterday 5/26/23 was his first gesture to me. He came up & sat on my loveseat back most of the evening. I got to touch for half second🤭. He was about 8-10 wks old when I tricked him in. I wasn’t a good socializer, but he’s never gone hungry. He & “several” rescues & their progeny share my home. Getting them all neutered is my goal! Thanks for sharing 😻

Don't ever be ashamed of being a cat lady. Animal lovers are a blessing to this planet. So much respect from Sri Lanka
Love this post. I have a similar experience and it’s worth the wait. Beautiful mom and cat 👏🐾✌️
Aww love this❤❤❤
Awesome story. You are Definitely not a crazy cat lady, youre a loving human who is respectful of all living beings.
I'm crying tears of joy right along with you. I actually felt the joy uou felt whe you were finally able to pet her! Beautiful cat.
Thank you, Amber, for helping Kiki and Kiki's friend.
What a Beautiful cat
WONDERFUL! Thank you for what you've done for her, but please do try to get her to a competent vet as soon as possible, YOU'RE A WONDERFUL PERSON FOR HELPING HER!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I truly admire her determination and persistence. What a wonderful person! So glad they found each other!
You’re an amazing person. Kiki is so happy that someone is showing her the love that she deserves!
WOW, what a beautiful cat and kind lady !! 🐈🍀
So not crazy. Thank You. ❤
What a beautiful story ❤️. Kiki is a lovely looking cat. It happened to me as well. I never gave up and eventually i was able to entic
What a beautiful kitty! Winning the trust and love of a feral fearful kitty takes a lot of time and patience. I'm so glad Kiki found you!❤
Love your & KiKis story❣️
I brought most all the neighborhood stray babies into my house 12/20.
