You guys need to make a PDP 9mm that’s a 1” wide stack and a half, 10 round OR handgun that’s the same size as a P365. This handgun seems behind the curve. Still cool but you guys need a real P365 competitor. Either way I’m just waiting for the HK SFP9cc/VP9cc to release. That’s a true P365 competitor with a removable FCU.
I think this is cool but it makes me think. Can walther compete now with fn and maybe make a 45 Pdp version? The new innovation “Glock” like pistol you guys made was amazing. Can you do it with 45 and make it unique? I am curious and hope to see your future products!
I wish- the .380ACP is a great cartridge when suppressed due to it's normal subsonic bullet velocity. I'm going to get a PD380 anyway, but hopefully SOMEONE will offer a threaded barrel for it.
Listen I love the way it looks, it's good, im sure. But please, this isn't what anyone (based on the people I talk to, and apparently this comment section) asked for. Maybe if capacity was more, or it was slimmer. Please make a PDP Slim. I actually like 380, but I don't see how this beats a Glock 42 with a +2
@@detroitvseverybody3813 I agree, Walthers are better. But my Glock is 8+1. 9+1 isn’t that much of an improvement to subsidize a firearms that is 30 percent thicker and overall bulkier
Walther, com'on man. The PDP and PDP-F are GREAT guns. This lacks capacity, Reddot options. YOur grip and trigger is why we are fans but this is a design absent of customer demanded features. I'm sad.
Almost as if those things already exist, this isn't intended to replace any of those, and is different for a different kind of customer... (we really at the point of complaining when .380s aren't all optics ready?)
Ugh. So a bigger 380 than the P365-380, or the super small LCP MAX (what a great pocket gun), and both have higher capacity. Even the G42 with a +2 extension is gonna be as soft or softer, smaller, and better than this. But maybe they’re going for first time CCW women and men who want softer recoil, and a DA/SA for safety, but don’t want the weight and crazy price of a beretta 80X. If this held 14-15rds (the LCP MAX holds 12 in a TINY mag), AND had a decocker, I’d be a hair more interested. Or if it held 15-16 in 32ACP-that would be fun. This is just a rebranded PK380 with no innovation or improvements. Sigh.
Both the P365 and LCP MAX have a greater capacity in their flush mags of one whole bullet, and then you list the Glock 42 with a +2 extension that holds one less round than this Then you manage to hit the nail on the head who this was designed for only to then describe something you would want instead The Glock 25 meets that capacity requirement, yet I guess the argument will be "Well it's biggerer than X and Y is even smallerer" (and snappier...like the MAX) Walther really revealed how weirdly entitled our community is with this one...
Wow, a lot of d-bags responding to this. Compare the sales of the PDP-F to similar guns of other popular brands. How is the PDP-F innovative or different? There are only so many Walther fanboys out there. Poor marketing when more men buy it then women?
I don’t understand why we have such low capacity when a LCP MAX can fit more rounds on a much smaller package, another thing is…what’s the point of a decocker if you have to thumb the hammer down?? Who was head of product development on this??? Good lord!!!
@@Gieszkanne oh in that case I stand corrected. But… you may want to inform walther of your discovery since they are the ones that called it a “safety/decocker”
When you engage the safety it blocks the firing pin so it cannot fire when manually decocking the PD380. That is safer than something like a double action revolver or CZ-75 if the hammer slipped off your thumb when manually decocking it could cause the gun to fire.
IOW, an updated PK380. About time you came up with a captive recoil spring!
That is an amazing pistol. Once they are available I will get one. Thanks, Walther people!
It’s a buy. I just bought pdp-f love it.

Not it needs to be as big as a 43X or shield plus or p365 XL. The ordinary p365 is too small. Not everyone has baby hands.
Looking forward to hicock45 do a review of this pistol. Also wonders how it compares with the Glock42, or a Ruger LCP MAX?
Honest outlaw more like it

Extended threaded barrel as an option?

💖🙏👍
I don't trust these plastic guide rods. Will there be a metal guide rod available for the PD380 ?
¿This gun still has zinc alloy slide like PK380?
The slide is steel. You are confusing them with the 22LR P22.
single stack? doesn't come with reddot option? very 2007.
Its just a face lift from the PK380.
Still waiting on a good carry gun to replace my P99C AS... The wait continues lol
This is sort of an upgraded PK380, eh?
this looks a lot like a beefed-up P22
What is this?
upgrade to the PK380?

Another pointless firearm that won't sell. You guys need to do better than this. Zero innovation here just like with the PDP-F.
Just how many firearms have YOU designed and built, Jack? Yeah, I thought so...
Uh oh. Must be another resentful member of the XY Chromosome League.

It's almost as if it's intended for those who want something a little larger and thus less snappy and easier to shoot than something like a MAX...
@@ScreechingPossum aweee, sarcasm! How clever. My point remains, there is enough space on that grip for a higher capacity magazine
