What a beautiful piece of nostalgia right there. Still run a mini e-revo that I brushless converted for my son to this day, and we try to keep it just as clean as this. Love the factory wheels and setup!
I just took my ERBE out last week, after 3 years on the Shelf… Had a good time like you, but I never did any Ramp Jumps or even Flips so I’m really not an expert. Have Taken my ERBE to Beaches, Grass, Snow, Asphalt and Dirt and I still enjoy this powerful Truggy ! Thanks for showing your ERBE❗️👍
My friend takes care of his older rc vehicles. He has the original electronics on his Savage for like 15 plus years. Good stuff. I like these kinds of videos 👍
I had a E Revo years ago as my second ever hobby grade RC, I remember it was insanely expensive and I was scared to drive it hard because I was so worried about thing breaking and I was too poor to fix it. By the time that I felt ok to drive it like it's intended, everything just broke. It kept stripping rear diffs, every bearing failed. I got out of the hobby because of it. Nowadays I own mostly arrma and thinking back to my experience with that Traxxas and seeing that truck in this video, it still gives my nightmares and chills.
I was able to pickup a original ERevo BE earlier this year for $50 in good running condition with original electronics. Already had the Traxxas HD metal axles and Robinson slipper system. After doing the RPM Tru Track conversion and 2.0 pushrods it has become one of my favorites to run. I believe the castle motor is on the way out since it gets hot quickly on 4s.
They selling one erevo 1.0 for 120$ but says he’s having trouble with pairing the RC to remote but that’s a easy fix only thing he like 3hrs away from my house
Sounded like jang from urc from back in the day still have a brushless emaxx cool to see someone rocking the og e revo I think it’s a better truck than the newer 2.0
Cool video, I had looked into getting an E-Revo 2.0 awhile back but i was worried about durability but at least it was better that the 1.0 if i buy one i'll get a roller\slider off ebay to avoid the bad stock electronics. Seeing yours make me want one but i have too many projects going on right now.
This is awesome!!!!! I recently picked up the 16.8v twin motor e revo all original!!! The thing is awesome!! I want to keep it twin motor so I plan on doing a twin esc twin motor set up. Could you recommend what motors I should go with? I plan to make it atleast 8s capable. But I highly doubt I’ll ever use that much power.
I had an E-revo with a non-waterproof Mamba monster esc that i bought back in 2011. I Plastidipped the esc so it would be waterproof, but i failed because it burnt. I replaced it with a HW Xerun 150A gen1, the blue one, wich I allso plastidipped. I still have that esc in my garage.
Very nice, i ouwn my erevo since christmas 2018 and i still love it. I bought him as a brushed version and did some updates over the years.... 2 speed transmission, 2000kV combo, sway bars, wings, shelfs and several type of tires. I also run the with truggy tires on 6S power..... this was way too fast. My speed measuring unit showed over 90 km/h and the driving was unsafe.... I currently drive the car with 4S and like too confert him too a Monster with big tires ( MTAG3 wheels ) ratio change and Chevy Pickup shelf for snow.😊 Have a nice time with this fantastic, but not perfect car !!
I was overall pretty gentle on the truck. No super snappy blips or anything. The diffs reading is what I remember failing on this truck also. I remember doing the lst conversion on one of my first be revos.
Currently turing my 10 year old E-revo 1/16 into a showpiece. Integy and and HR hop ups. Only thing original will be the chassis and the wing stand. Well see how the Motor and ESC holds up, might have to get a Castle combo. Already did the bulkheads and shim job, added a slipper center diff. 100k wt all around, new shocks 80 in the back grey springs, 70 in the front black.
My center differential was not a slipper diff, I had to replace it with one. There is a slip plate on the plastic gear, but that's for keeping the motor from burning out.
This is so me I’m watching this video because I’m in the market for an revo I got back into the game a bit ago and I was so mad to see they they discontinued the E-Revo and right after they made a 2.0 I ended up getting a XRt and not I have a few other cars and damn I still have an itch to have a revo I’m definitely gonna find a good one and bit the bullet and get one I’ve had my fair share of 1/16th revos but I was never able to get a full size on it was just to much for me, now I just need one!!
I have this. Should i sell it? I have a kraton 6s and feel i only need one type of each rc that are similar. But it looks total new, so i love the looks. :)
I've had one of these for years, very little use.. decided to start playing around with it again. Is there anything really worth upgrading to? I loved my old savage 25 so maybe one of the new electric savages? But is there a huge difference between this old Revo and newer trucks now for bashing exclusively?
That’s a bad ass truck man!! I have an erevo myself and it’s hopped up to the max but I’ve never seen sway bars for it and I have to have them where do I find them? Please help a brother out!! Thanks for the sweet content!!
hi brother i bought e revo exactly like your model but i wonder what is that small thin wire that coming from esc to battery connector what does it do is there a problem if i cut it because i want to change traxxas connectors.
I just got an E-Revo and not sure what one it is. I'm getting different answers lol.. how can you tell what one it is? It have the same body you do without writing on it.
It’s a great car it’s so much lighter weight and more agile than the 2.0 Btw the diffs are not weak on these like many say, it’s the fact that this version does not come with a center differential Once you get one diffs and shafts stop breaking
If you swap your spur gear out for the faster one, and get the battery (series) connector for 2, you can get it up to 70, i've done it in mine. I choose not to run it like that because it's almost too fast.
I still have this truck with original electronics. It's a pain in the butt truck to be honest, but I keep it for nastalgic reasons and bash it every now and then. I don't recommend 6s, though. Diffs aren't up to it
One of my first rc and it was absolute garbage ….his to rpm everything I could and the diffs were the worst diffs ever to appear in a rc of that size !! The lay down shocks were weak ….the thing went in the trash very quickly
i had one of these and it was the worst hobby experience i ever had. The thing just kept breaking all the time. If it only had a center diff, most of the problems would be gone. The 2.0 is a much better car, it comes with the center diff.
There is a center diff for it, but it was a hop up 😅 Only ever killed diffs in mine on 6s, slipper clutch was the biggest failure point for me. Have since upgraded to the 2.0 transmission(the only good part in the 2.0 😂) and havent broken anything since
Unfortunately just bad build quality and cheap parts. I can’t get through a full charge without something breaking. Destroyed the gears first run, plastic good idea. After I bought a built transmission and metal gears. The first run in a field the steering servos went out. That’s the 2 times we have used it. Tried to be easy on it in the field lasted 5 minutes. We had a brushless rustler years ago and it was trash as well. I read how durable this one was. Hot garbage!
Kinda sounds like you got the first revision of the brushless Erevo, was essentially the brushed version with a castle combo slapped in it. Later versions before the 2.0 had some changes to better deal with the brushless power
URC! Man, I miss Jang so much. Maybe one day he will come back.
Still one of the best original RC creators
Yep i liked jangs reviews videos so much, now days he is fully in to Lego
Same man, he made such good videos
Why did Jang stop making those videos
@@RustybeltRC in his descriptions of all his videos he explains why, but basically his track moved and his spots to film got developed

lol I still have 2 of these. One is a street machine and the other is a basher with the original telemetry gear and radio. 👍
Wow I have never seen an RC truck as tuned as yours is great job!!
Revo is the beast! I just sold my over 10 years model v1. Its just started to break after break.😢

I still have mine it’s like brand new great video
I have a first gen revo and put a big brushless motor in it and it kills a diff or two every single time i take it out so its a shelf queen now

Sorry, i bought him 2008...😅
Awesome Jason! I remember driving an old revo. It felt great but the owner said the diffs blew out all the time so I bought a V1 Talion instead 😂
I was overall pretty gentle on the truck. No super snappy blips or anything. The diffs reading is what I remember failing on this truck also. I remember doing the lst conversion on one of my first be revos.
I have two erevo 1st gen and a 2.0. Also a summit. The platform is legit.
Currently turing my 10 year old E-revo 1/16 into a showpiece. Integy and and HR hop ups. Only thing original will be the chassis and the wing stand. 2.0 definitely takes a bashing and backflips front flips all day. Sorry J that it didn't work out for you but for me. I love my 2.0
Good video to wake up too
I have this. Should i sell it? I have a kraton 6s and feel i only need one type of each rc that are similar. But it looks total new, so i love the looks. :)
I own a gen one brushless erevo and its still my favorite rc car of all time i have been wanting to upgrade it to the erevo 2.0 specifications though
Just ran mine today ! And you guessed it , toasted a diff ... on 3s . .
I've had one of these for years, very little use.. decided to start playing around with it again.

You would need to search. These were on the truck when I got it.

That gear noise is kinda unique to e revo platform

Hoping we get an e revo 3.0
Beautiful Revo
Love this kind of video, thank
What axles you running on the revo
I have a completely original E-Revo in perfect condition. Any interest in buying?
Great video. Is that a Nissan Frontier you have for a daily?.
Yes it is! Picked it up about 3 months ago.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs very nice. I'm between that or a tacoma for a new truck.

4:10 I look over at my charger and realize I'm not charging any batteries. haha 🤙
Was that your best URC Jang
No. But Jang was the mang! :)
What scale is this I picked one up and the dude told me it was 1/8th scale
It is 1/10, but more like a 1/10 monster jam truck rather than a 1/10 monstered 4x4 😅
i didnt no you could run 2s on one side and 3s on the other
Please stop that charger, press the stop
