Tire looks brand new I like that look! When I clean my tires I use a cardboard cutout that I made just for my rim size and I put a drawer knob in the middle of it so I can hold it up to cover my rims. Super easy to make and only takes one hand with the knob in the middle of it to hold up while I spray shinny stuff on my tires. I cant believe you knew this was paint and you didnt cover the rims Scott!

Believe it or not, the best tire dressing I have ever used is black Kiwi shoe polish the wax stuff. I use it on my motorcycle tires mainly because it doesn't slip on the road if some of it gets on the tread area. It requires a little more elbow grease but lasts about 3 to 4 weeks even after thunder storms. I got the idea from when I was in the marines, when were deployed we always left our inspection boots at the barracks, but after being deployed for a year and not wearing the boots for a year the souls would crack and split. So we started putting shoe polish on the souls of our boots and it wood keep the rubber preserved until we got back. Plus the more you buff it after application the more shine you get. Had a hard time releasing this info because only Marines know it but you have a great channel and really seem to enjoy helping people so why not return the favor. Try it sometime Scott, I think you'll be impressed. You'll need a small brush applicator (approx. 1.5 inches in diameter and, you can use any junk towel that's clean of dirt to wipe it off and polish it. *Just do it after cleaning the tire with any APC*

When I was in the Marine Corps I used to get either a spray can or tube of silicone from one of my buddies in the Comm unit and use it on my 1978 Pontiac Bandit Trans AM. That stuff lasted forever through rain and snow. It never deteriorated the tires. I was in the Corps from 1982 - 1986.

I've used wood varnish in a spray can, it actually worked the best and lasts like a year though everything. Dirt doesnt stick! Eventually starts to flake off a little but not bad. Just wash and re-spray

I'm sure someone is laughing and some will probably bad mouth you for doing this. I for one am not laughing or by any means thinking anything negative. If you don't try it how will you know. It may last and be a great product. Little more time on prep so the cleanup is easier or now we know that their cleanup idea doesn't work and we can skip that and have one that will work ready. Or it will not last and your video just saved someone a bunch of time and money and we know not to think about putting into arsenal. Keep up the great work and putting your videos out. You have been a great help and I truly appreciate what you do. And I can't wait to try my new DPC products and luxury microfiber towels. Thanks again and God Bless you Scott and all your loved ones.

Also I would suggest that when doing such a tedious job of that detailed nature I would jack up the car just enough to allow the tire to spin freely so that 100% of the tires face can be completely covered without any issues plus that would also allow one to lay another piece of cardboard under the tire so there is no clean up required on the driveway or garage floor. Plus one more thing I would do is lay a clean garage used towel or something in that manner that you don't much care for so if it got over spray on it oh well and drape it across the fender and door for those that aren't as careful so one's pride and joy you are making look even better stays that way. Just my opinion though. Always ❤️ your videos Scott great job as always. 👊

I used Kiwi liquid sole and heel edge dressing on my 18wheeler for 15yrs. I used foam brushes to apply. When it dries it resists dirt dust road grime and salty roads. It has to wear off generally about 60k to 70k miles. Close in on my truck picture on my email pic to the left to see my results.

I use a car wash and wax liquid for the paint and tires. For tires, I add a layer of the cheapest spray foam tire shine. Then I add a second layer of the cheapest squirt bottle of tire shine on top. No rubbing. It does not last very long, however only takes a few seconds to put on and does not cost much.
