  • Yosemite National Park is one of the most stunning parks in California. No wonder everyone raves about this national park. The views are incredible, the waterfalls are impressive and the hikes are rewarding. We visited during the first week of September, right after Labor Day weekend, and it was the perfect time to go with fewer crowds.
    There are a number of different hikes you can do in Yosemite ranging from easy to advanced and ideally, four days in Yosemite would be perfect but if you only have two days to spare, we have the perfect detailed itinerary for you. Hikes include Lower Yosemite Falls, Sentinel Dome, Taft Point, Mist Trail, Mariposa Grove and more.

    We were JUST in Yosemite and had a beautiful coat of snow about the ground. The hotels get booked super fast, but you can get something outside of season. Your air bnb looks like it was great! Yosemite Falls is just beautiful. Some roads were closed while we were there, so we didn't get to see glacier point, but we did ice skate so I suppose it's all a trade off. Something amazing every time of year.

      I heard Yosemite is pretty different during the winter so you definitely experienced a different side of the park! I'm sure it was just as stunning, if not more.

      I recommend it we have gone 3 times in the last 2 years, it puts into perspective how small you are. I reccomend going april-early june. Or early winter. Before summer a lot of the park isnt open, but theres not a lot of people, and its much cheaper for campsites. The yosemite store is surprising inexpensive. Also. Its ugly in the dead of summer. And i recommend hitting bodie while youre there too. Its on the back side if you take tioga pass out.

    Beautiful your video!!, Can you guide me? In what order do you recommend visiting Yosemite? I arrive at Oakhurst on the night of July 18 and leave at noon on July 20. I want to visit mariposa grove, glacier point and Vernall fall but I'm worried about parking.

    • @travelpockets
      @travelpockets  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! The only place you have to worry about parking is probably Vernal Fall, so I would get there first thing in the morning. The other two places should be fine with parking after you're done with Vernal Fall. If Mariposa is full, you might have to wait for parking. For Glacier Point, most cars parked on the side of the road.

    Last I heard, you are NOT supposed to go into the water or even climb the rocks at lower Yosemite Falls. People have died doing that or been seriously injured. Guys, this is NOT Disneyland or an amusement park. It is the Wilderness. So unless they put a swimming pool in at the lower falls, stay on the bridge or the safe areas. Check with a ranger.
